I'm Nikki Riehle, I was born and raised in Indiana. I have been creating as long as I remember. I have not, nor do I ever think I will settle down to just one medium of art. I love to do anything from crafting, sewing, drawing, to film and media work. Right now I am aspiring to be a traveling and lifestyle videographer/photographer. I currently have a new TH-cam channel that is just a small foundation to document my growth while I learn more and advance my skills. Don't get me wrong, although this is my current focus, nothing can stop me from doing other forms of art. I believe God puts everyone on this earth with many gifts. Life is not about what gifts you have but what you do with them here on earth.
I'm Nikki, and I was created to create. So that's just what I'm going to do.

DIY Custom Mothers Day Gift Ideas Part 2 | DIY
Exfoliating scrub
You will need coconut oil, sugar, essential oils or fragrance, I am using lilac, food coloring and a glass jar or container. This recipe is 2 parts sugar to 1 part coconut oil. I used ¼ cup but had to make more for once my coconut oil liquified. I used 2 ¼ cups or ½ cup of sugar then I added ¼ cup of coconut oil. Mine was a little too hard to mix so I put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds to help soften it up. Then I added 5-7 drops of my lilac to my mixture and 3 drops of purple food coloring and I mixed that up.Then I added everything to my jar and finalized my exfoliant with a bow to make it cuter for when my mom opens her gift.

I am going to add my initials to the jewelry case. I started by uploaded my design from Canva to design space. I just prefer creating my designs in Canva for any font projects. Then I made my initials 2 inches wide to fit my jewelry box. I clicked continue and mirrored my mat and clicked make it. From there I selected the everyday iron on and the more pressure and let my Cricut do it’s thing. After, I weeded out my design and it revealed perfect gold letters. Then I heated up my cricut easy press to 255 degrees while I placed my initials in the center. Then I used my cricut easy press for 30 seconds to heat the design to my jewelry box. Lastly I removed the transfer tape and revealed the beautiful customization.
Mom Homemade Card
I found a font I like from Canva and imported the design into design space. I resized it and created an offset for it. There was a hole where the o was so I used the circle shape tool to attach it by welding it together. Then I added the original text back on it to temporarily attach it to the offset. I created a shape to mimic the size of my card to decide the proportion for my cuts. I wanted the offset to be closer to 1.5 inches high.
I deleted the remaining shapes and detached the offset and text. Then I turned off the text and clicked make it. I upped the quantity to 8 but if you are only making 1 card, you will want to only do 4. I clicked continue and selected the Kraft cardstock and let my cricut cut it out. Next I hid the offset and just showed the text and clicked make it. Then I upped the quantity to 8 since I am making two cards, but you will just need to do 4 for one card. Then I rearranged my text to fit on my different colors of paper. Then I clicked continue and selected the Kraft Cardstock for my cricut to cut them out. Once I removed all of the cut pieces from the cricut mat I added the text to the offset by using a glue stick. Once I had them all glued down, I flooded my paper to make my card. Then I placed down all of the ‘Mom’ pieces and made sure they were evenly spaced. Then I put foam tape on the back of each mom piece and added it to the paper making sure everything was straight. I continued that to all four.

Floral Wreath I started off with some florals from the dollar tree and some greenery I had laying around from another project. At first I attached them together with floral tape but decided I wanted to just hot ...

Jewelry Dish (Failed DIY) I took the ceramic piece and removed the back hardware so that it would lay flat. I traced the ceramic piece on the back of the wall paper and marked where the corner points would be. I then cut out the shape on the wall paper and cutting the corner so that it will lay flat. From there I slowly placed the wall paper onto the dish trying to avoid any air bubbles. Then I...

I went over to Canva where I made my canvas the size in inches of what my final sign dimensions will be (22"x32"). I copied one third of the names to each text box. I used Cerebri font for this text. I added spaces in between the names that had different letters of their last name. Then added the table number next to the names. I resized everything making sure all the text was the same size. It is important that you have a high quality vinyl for this project, especially if you are using tiny images and fonts like I do in this video. I cannot stress enough how important it is to make a few test options before purchasing a bulk amount of vinyl for this project. I had the best results with Cricut brand vinyl. In Canva, I used the element tab and search line art to add an element to my...

I took another invitation and used procreate to trace and create my own png file. I do not recommend doing this as there are so many options online to order editable designs or png straight from Etsy. Canva link isn't working :(
Should work now!
Her free template link is broken. Made a replica in case anyone was looking for it like me: www.canva.com/design/DAGPBnS5FA0/ZE2mRJm8PGzB5xiHEtnfjw/view?DAGPBnS5FA0&mode=preview
The free template isnt available unfortunately in your description box.
Should work now!
I clicked on the free template link and it said unavailable. Does it still exist?
Link should work now!
Are you a creator on canva where I can search for the template you created already?
Thank you! Did you have to make a png on canva for every address?
Do you have to have a membership in Canvas to download with transparent background.
@@ClarimelC yes
I cant get the font to download. I love this font :(
What paper did you use?
This is brilliant thank you :)
Can someone please help me. I have tried doing this through Canva and cricut design space and the font grayscale keeps coming out as an outline and not filling in. How do I correct this?
So how did you get the lines to go from double when you select draw to single? Mine will draw the outline but not the inside.
Someone help ! How do I make sure my font is not double lined. I used the same fonts in her tutorial and it isn’t working 😢
The only way to fix this is to make your text smaller in size
How long did it take to do one mat of envelopes? Just the cricut writing part? My boss wants me to do a project for him and needs and idea on how long it would take to address 200. Thanks!
You are the only person who has been able to help me do this. Thank you soooo much!!!
Awesome tutorial, thank you so much! Great tips and exactly what I was looking for :)
My gel pen doesn't fit into my Cricut. I'm just borrowing from a friend to do these invites, so I'm not particularly skilled with it, but is it that different models do not fit normal gel pens? I am using an Explore Air 2
Hi Nikki , sorry I don’t know if you said it in the video , but did you mirror the text ? I’m doing the same project for my wedding seating chart. I’ve only done t shirts before this and had to mirror the design before cutting . Thanks so much ❤
yes, you mirror the text anytime you use iron on vinyl
Oh em gee this is exactly what I needed!! Thank you so much!!
Easy to follow along but once I uploaded into design space and changed from cut to pen, it shows the fonts as outlines?? I used the same fonts as in the video. Can anyone help me out?
This didn’t work for me 😩. I used the same fonts, but it didn’t come out the same way.
omg. from the canva recommendation to the simple tip of moving the little while wheels to the side so my ink doesn't smear... SO grateful you made this video. thank you!!
Where do u get the vynal name sticker from
Where do I find the template please x
If uploading from canva to design space is there any way to have the circut “write” the text rather than outline? Or can that only be done if you start in circut design space? Thank you!
Another person getting married just here to say THANK YOU. Printed around 300 invitation envelopes and this video was our BIBLE in doing this, thank you so much again
How long did it take to do the 300? Hours? Thanks!
Super helpful - thank you!
so good thank you so much
Thanks so much for this tutorial! This has made putting together invites so much quicker! Definitely some trial and error at first, but they come out so nicely!
This was very easy to follow and had me making mine in minutes. Thank you
Engaged here! Thank you so much!
Amazing! You just saved me hours of time trying to figure out how to print the place names I had already made on canva individually. Thank you for your template!!
I love your projects which I'll try soon.
Why the baking soda mixed into the paint?
Texture
OMG you saved me! after trying for hours to figure out a faster way to address so many envelopes this is by far the best, easiest way. THANK YOU THANK YOU
where do I find the free template? Thank you!
I love the color of the blue/green ribbon! it perfectly matches my colors! Where did you buy it?
Do you have a link to the gold stand??
Will this work with fonts that aren’t actually writing fonts on cricut design space?
I've literally never commented on a TH-cam video before but I have to to tell you THANK YOU!! I've been searching high and low for an easy way to do this to draw on multiple envelopes for my wedding invitations. This tutorial is truly a lifesaver. So amazing, thank you!!!
What are you using to stick the envelops onto the mat?
I'm having the same problem. Is there another kinda mat you used?
@@kelseykenney4653 So the sticky template was tearing my envelopes so I stuck copy paper on the sticky part and used two small strips of painters tape to hope the envelops in place.
@@marissa4356 that was a very good idea!! I was able to finish all my envelopes. I just need to learn how to export the addresses
This is a great guide! Do you know if the napkins would be washable?
I am assuming this would work somewhat similar with the Silhouette Cameo? my MOH practically smacked me upside the head when i said i wanted to hand address all of the envelopes because i wanted metallic gold. She was like you dummy
What kind of paper did you use? And did you use a regular printer?
I can’t thank you enough for this video! ❤
I’m making these for my sons wedding too , we’ll , they are painting them and I am cricuting the names … Should I mod podge over the names too ???
And congratulations 🥂🥰🥂 These are beautiful 🥰
I wouldn't mod podge on the front of the acrylic at all. It will create a foggy look. And I dont think the vinyl will need sealed since it is sticky.
Please Can you do foam board too
Why is this video still 13like
Slow down. 🤦♀️
OMG- there is nothing worse for me than the youtube slow talkers!!!
