Another person getting married just here to say THANK YOU. Printed around 300 invitation envelopes and this video was our BIBLE in doing this, thank you so much again
omg. from the canva recommendation to the simple tip of moving the little while wheels to the side so my ink doesn't smear... SO grateful you made this video. thank you!!
I've literally never commented on a TH-cam video before but I have to to tell you THANK YOU!! I've been searching high and low for an easy way to do this to draw on multiple envelopes for my wedding invitations. This tutorial is truly a lifesaver. So amazing, thank you!!!
Just wanted to share some tips for anyone trying this now! I tried both on Canva and Cricut Design space and I found it easier to just do it on Design Space personally. Same method with the square box template so you can see where you need to place it, but I inserted my own text rather than uploading the file from Canva. If you choose a font that is designed for Writing within design space it will write properly rather than just the outline! If you are getting lots of smudges/lines and spots of ink try lifting the pen up slightly so it isn't as far down and that solved the problem for me. Make sure you hide the square box template or it will start cutting after! Good luck :-) thanks for the video it was very helpful.
OMG you saved me! after trying for hours to figure out a faster way to address so many envelopes this is by far the best, easiest way. THANK YOU THANK YOU
Thanks so much for this tutorial! This has made putting together invites so much quicker! Definitely some trial and error at first, but they come out so nicely!
If uploading from canva to design space is there any way to have the circut “write” the text rather than outline? Or can that only be done if you start in circut design space? Thank you!
Thanks for this great video!! I followed it exactly except when my text prints with Cricut, it had the two lines outlining each word. Do you know how to fix this?
Unfortunately, that is an issue with Cricuts drawing feature. You have to use thin fonts otherwise it will not be filled in because it is only tracing the outlines of the text. If you have unwanted empty text, the only fix is to manually fill in every letter and word.
Do you have any suggestions for what fonts to use on canva? (or another font from a website or cricut access) It seems every time I pick a font from them and take it to the cricut I lose the writing when it comes to making it.
How long did it take to do one mat of envelopes? Just the cricut writing part? My boss wants me to do a project for him and needs and idea on how long it would take to address 200. Thanks!
Easy to follow along but once I uploaded into design space and changed from cut to pen, it shows the fonts as outlines?? I used the same fonts as in the video. Can anyone help me out?
My gel pen doesn't fit into my Cricut. I'm just borrowing from a friend to do these invites, so I'm not particularly skilled with it, but is it that different models do not fit normal gel pens? I am using an Explore Air 2
Hi, thank you so much for this video! Maybe I missed the explanation but can I ask why you changed the size before downloading? Does that help with the resolution?
If the resolution is too low, Cricut design space doesn’t write the text in its entirety. I’ve seen where it would only write half the letter when resolution is low
Hi thank you for this video! When I go to create all my address will bunch up. I tried to hit attach and it will continue to bunch. How can I fix this? thank you
Thanks for this video! My envelopes smear every time… I’m using gelly roll metallic pens and I moved the grippers to the side. Do you have any ideas on how to prevent this? I think I’m going to have to settle for my regular cricut pens.
Can someone please help me. I have tried doing this through Canva and cricut design space and the font grayscale keeps coming out as an outline and not filling in. How do I correct this?
How do I make the Cricut stop cutting? I move the outline to the project 1 right before I'm about to start it and I hide it but it still cuts after it's done writing with the pen.

Yes, this should work and would save you from having to download every single time! All of your PNGs would end up in a one folder at the end which is great!
@@nikkitube26 Sorry, I'm also having trouble with my cricut drawing the outline of the font, since it doesn't fill it in it looks funny. But I downloaded the same font you did. Any tips?
How do yo do this!? I CAAAANT!! I'm using the same font as you and it won't let me do it, when I put it in cricut I get the text with a border, without filling, how did you do it?
Cricut won’t fill it in. You are probably making your text too big. When you stretch the text it will look outlined and not filled in. But the Cricut is technically drawing the outlines of the text but if the outlines are close together, it looks filled in.
@@kelseykenney4653 So the sticky template was tearing my envelopes so I stuck copy paper on the sticky part and used two small strips of painters tape to hope the envelops in place.

Does it matter which font is used in Canva? Will this eliminate selecting the writing font in Cricut so that it will fill in the space?
