Do you usually use a catheter for a cone biopsy?
After a year I am still in pain every single day I was never informed I was going to develop a prolapsed bladder, I was left with adeshions which add to the pain. I am a 48 year old and feel like ann70 or 80 in constant pain around my pelvic area, my legs are weak , I have contacted my local GP he could not do anything I contacted my consultant asked her why I never had my follow up her secretary said at that moment she was busy, I said but is there another consultant should have the time to see me and check me her answer was there is other people in emergency situation it means I am not important to them. HELP ME PLEASE WHAT CAN I DO
Excellent explanation of this procedure ✅
Glad it was helpful!
I feel dizzy, nauseated all the time.. my laparoscopy was done on dec 10 ..
You should let your surgeon know about her symptoms
I am having this in a week or 2. I have been having non stop bleeding for about 38 days now and doesn’t stop. On TXA now ferritin is low but hemoglobin seems to be ok. Is it safe to have this procedure done with the non stop bleeding? I’m afraid my bleeding can be even worse. Or that it can be done with the big amount of blood I’m bleeding
Yes, often the D&C will stop or reduce the bleeding. Keep taking your oral iron. I recommend Vitron-C.
@@DrDuPontI have a fibroid that is in the cavity of my uterus hanging by a stalk into my vagina and the doctor recommended a d and c to remove . I just had a ufe done 4 days ago to reduce the bleeding. Can a d and c remove the fibroid within?
Progestérone saved my life! Your information is very relevant and important for us wiser ladies 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Don’t forget another cause of hysterectomies… IUD injury!
Thanks, very uncommon
@@DrDuPontWell it’s happening to me after 3 failed surgical removal attempts of the piece of Paragard that broke apart during the removal attempt and painfully embedded into the myometrium near my cervix. Thousands of injuries have occurred, more keep accruing. Check out the news coverage on Spotlight on America.
Endometrial biopsy isn’t uncomfortable, it’s excruciatingly painful. Mine had to be stopped when I passed out from the pain - and I’ve had two vaginal births w/o needing pain relief so I can tolerate pain. I’ve suffered PTSD since the failed biopsy. Ladies, avoid this at all costs. Demand proper pain relief. I’ve decided NEVER to see a gynae doc again - and I’ve still got PMB. I’ll have to take my chances it’s not cancer
Saline
Whats the name of the medication to dilate the crevices.
Misoprostol
Thank you! This was very informative and helpful I have procedure scheduled next Friday and your video answered a lot of my questions ❤
Good luck!!
Thank you. You answered a lot of my questions. I am having a D&C next week to find out the cause of my irregular and heavy periods while I have an IUD. While I am nervous, you helped out. I feel you explained things a bit better than my PA did. 💜
I pray that everything will go well.
@ thank you! 💜
A long it's take to get pregnant After having a LEEP procedure
It varies, speak to your gyn doctor
What's good for proglong bleeding please
There are many medications to stop or slow down bleeding. Please speak with your gyn doctor for medications that are appropriate for your situation.
Had my robotic surgery 3 days ago, and the worse pain so far had been the shoulder pain. Luckily I was prepared for it. But other than that, I've only been taking Tylenol and Motrin and doing pretty well so far
Glad you are doing well
I just had an endometrial biopsy yesterday. Is the biopsy able to get a sample of polyps or masses or only the lining? Thanks ... I have thickening and a mass and am worried it wont be able to get a sample of the mass.
Yes and No. The biopsy only gets a small sample of the endometrial tissue. To remove polyps or submucosal fibroids most of us will do a hysteroscopy with biopsy, this can be done in the OR or office.
@@DrDuPont Thank you for your response. I now have a hysteroscopy scheduled for January
You are welcome
Good morning Doctor, I'm 58 and I went to menopause very early, now the menopause is affecting me so much, I feel like taking hormone treatment, I'm doing a lot of exercise but I'm feeling the old age approaching rapidly 😢, please help me.
See your doctor and ask about starting hormone replacement therapy. The Menopause Society has great information on its website and you can find a menopause practitioner in your area (menopause.org).
Hysteroscopy is uterus.. not colon
Yes.
I had a complete hysterectomy 4 days ago. So far I have been able to control the pain with ibuprofen and Tylenol. My recovery is going well, hopefully I will start feeling better as the days go by. It’s important to be prepared ahead and be positive.
@ yes they took out everything
I have mine coming up on December 2nd. I am trusting the Lord for my complete healing. I'm so glad your recovery is going well. God bless you.
@ I hope your surgery goes well, I suggest to go on a liquid diet 2 days prior, have the miralax ready, it will be very helpful. Sending you love and hugs. Enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend and stay positive. God bless you. 🙏🏻
Thank you for the support!
I agree.
Surgical Technologist student here. Thank you for your videos. They’re getting me through my clinicals! ❤

Great info! ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
I had a myomectomy in 2016; my male Obgyn made the uterus free of fibroids except the one in the lining y the other outside my uterus blocking my left ovary. I still had heavy bleeding due to those 2 not removed on my day 2-3 of my period was still very heavy. Like change your pad every hour or upsie every 2 hours. My period was normally 8 heavy days but those 2 heavy days after the procedure were still very challenging my doc told me be happy. Other docs just suggested birth control pills. After our international travels (the uterus fibroid came back)last fall of 2023 my bleeding increased horribly to 30 to 35 days of bleeding, my hair started falling out, nails darkened, black circles under eye. I found an online Obgyn y had a UFE procedure March 2024 (multiple fibroids in my lining with one inside) that stopped my heavy bleeding, anemia, my hair has grown back, my nails are healthy again. I had a hysteroscopy myomectomy October 2024 to remove the fibroid that was shrinking/dying in my uterus (6cm down to 3cm). The hysteroscopy was optional y I took it to not wait for the fibroid to keep breaking down. I am doing much better.😊 (I am 50 have a healthy diet/exercise) Took me years to find a doctor that would hear me. You are doing wonderful work by posting these videos ❤ Dr Nefertiti duPont. Saving lives y giving us our normal function of life back 💐
Thank you.
Women have to go through so much 😩
Recently diagnosed with several large fibroids (5.5 cm -6.5cm) due to abnormal heavy bleeding. I was told I needed a hysterectomy due to being very anemic. 😞. I'm definitely getting the e-book. I didn't know about the different options.
Thank you.
Join me next week for my virtual webinar on uterine fibroids, November 14th at 7pm CST
Thanks for the helpful information I'm about to have one Friday & I was nervous !
2:30 pm I wish someone had told me how long bloating can last. I followed all the suggestions mentioned in video but suffered for over 3 months. Time finally made it better. I was distended and in discomfort for that whole time. Don't despair...it does go away. Everyone is different. I am 68 so maybe my age played a factor.
I hope you are doing better now. God bless you.
Very informative 🖤 I have some contributions if you don't mind
Yes please!
I had a robotic laparoscopic total hysterectomy for cervical dysplasia two and a half weeks ago. I was hiking daily 5 miles in a canyon for several months prior to surgery. This has helped my recovery tremendously. I walked immediately after surgery and continued to increase my steps daily. After two weeks of daily walking 10,000+ steps, with my doctor's approval, I returned to hiking in the canyon (uphill and downhill). I feel terrific and almost as good as pre-op.
Awesome!
That's a hopeful story. God bless.
I know everyone is different, but my endometrial biopsy was excrutiating. It hurt so badly and no one in the room really seemed surprised or concerned that I was in so much pain.
Yes, you are correct everyone is different. Hope you are doing better.
@@DrDuPont Yes, I have a new provider who takes pain management for procedures very seriously, and have had much better experiences with her.
Thank you for making this video. I’m having all of these symptoms, but am being dx by an NP w/ gastritis. I have no appetite, and have lost 8 lbs in a week’s time. My GYN appt isn’t for another month.
Try to get seen sooner; ask to be notified if there is a cancellation so your appointment can be moved up or see if another provider (different doctor or NP or physician assistant) can see you sooner.
@@DrDuPont Last week, I had a colonoscopy, and no dx of gastritis. As per your advice, I have asked to be notified if/when there’s a cancellation. Something is not right, as nothing has changed. Thank you so much for your caring advice. I wish you practiced here in Alabama. God bless and keep you!
Thank you!
If you feel sick to your stomach after taking the pain medication I hear that ginger is helpful…
Absolutely, ginger can also help with nausea.
Having robotic surgery in 9 days due to endometrial stage 1 cancer. I am 65 and never had surgery....
@@donnabeeler7979I just had mine done yesterday. You’ll do fine! Good luck today ❤
Thankyou for this informative video. Prayers for me. I am having a full hysterectomy except keeping my ovaries. Only a day stay. Scariest part I live alone. My son will stay a night or two so hopefully I will have a quick recovery. My pre Op preperation is to be as healthy as possible. Clean diet and lots of food preparation so I dont have to worry. Drinking lots of fluid and staying positive🙏🏻❤️✝️
Hi! I just had mine ( same as yours) on 9/25 and I live alone too. I had my friend stayed with me for the first two nights, the rest of the time I am by myself, and my friends took turn and come visit on a daily basis. one thing that's very important for us since we live alone- Make sure you have everything you need on the counter top or area you can easily reach, the cup, the smallest and lightest pot you will be using to cook, the foods, the cooking ingredient etc. Also get a case of water in small bottle, you will want to have enough water after the surgery and they cant be too heavy. I also cooked a big pot of chicken soup and some porridge so I some food to get back for the first couple days. make sure you have a lot of salad kits and fruits in the fridge, extra fiber is very helpful. I also stocked two cases of eggs. Since I live alone, I have to force myself to walk around to get to the food, the water etc, the WALK REALLY HELPS you to heal faster. no bath is allowed after the surgery, when you take shower just be careful and let the water go through your body like what the video said. Fatigue is the biggest thing I am still trying to recover from, as soon as I crash, I will rest, but the rest of the time I try to get back to my normal life, as much as my body allows. I am in my 4 weeks, I can already walk around the block for 50 min, I work from home full time, I do modified house work ( avoid lifting anything heavy). Relax and be positive, you will be ok.
Excellent explanation of the procedure and what to expect afterwards. I had this done 3 days ago for unexplained postmenopausal spotting. The doc removed a fibroid and some cysts around the cervix. I'm still experiencing crampyness but what most concerned me prior to watching the video was the bright red bleeding/sediment I'm still seeing when I urinate. I feel much better now that I understand that spotting/light bleeding is common and may last for up to 2 weeks when I have my follow-up appointment with my doc anyway. Thanks for sharing this important information.
Hey I was wondering if you had to take any time off work
@@Heykarmen No, I didn't. My procedure was on a Friday so I had the weekend to rest up. Doc recommended to take it easy - no sex or strenuous activity - for 7 days post procedure. Good luck!.
Thanks for the information. I'm scheduled to have surgery next month.
You are welcome
thank you
You're welcome
will you automatically remove when doing the d&c?
Yes, the polyps will be removed but they can grow back.
...breast cancer star
FIRST … stop using anti perspirant deodorant ⬅️
One theory is … that relatively recently … we have been using anti-perspirant deodorants. These physically BLOCK the movement of lymph and other fluids. The lymph clears the breast .. most breast cancers are in that upper quadrant where we put deodorant . ⬅️⬅️⬅️ WHY is this not being considered ???
Is this the same thing as a hysteroscopy D&C?
Similar...the hysteroscopy with D&C is usually done in a surgery center or hospital.
Watch my other video on the hysteroscopy with D&C
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for the video. Im getting this done friday. I think they are using gas so they can see better in my uterus. Im really anxious about the surgery and not looking forward to feeling pain 😢
Hey, did you have to take any time off?
@@Heykarmen Hey, i had it done on a friday so i only took the Friday off and had the weekend to recover. it wasn't that bad. However i work from home and don't have to go into an office, so it will depend on how you feel. i wasn't too sore and could manage, just felt like i was on a bad period. so if you don't want to deal with people i would recomend taking monday tuesday as well ahha
Sure enough, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.
Oops! On day 6I was feeling fine I even felt well enough and even danced to slow jam music. Exacty I week after I drove to McDonalds close by. On day 8 I went to work and did some consultations. No lifting anything. Just walking, sitting at desk and talking to clients. I drove myself 15 minutes to and from work. I’m now scared have I been doing too much? 😢 I feel fine. But I’m just scared what to expect now? I had open myomectomy 2 weeks ago, by two weeks I was driving and working a few hours a day. I feel robotic hysterectomy is a piece of cake but I guess I just need to stay home? Today is post op day 9. No signs of complications. Haven’t been needing pain meds except for about 3 occasions
Everyone is different, I went back to work after 1 week.
@@DrDuPontawesome! today is post op day 12 and I feel amazing. Just some soreness when I cough. Or sneeze. Otherwise I don’t feel pain. Thank you for this video and response .
My doctor wants to “shave my uterus” and I have no idea what this means or if it is the right procedure. I have post menopausal bleeding and cramping. Ultrasound showed a fibroid the doctor said is benign.
Ask more questions. I'm not sure what that means either.
This started out wrong. What is she talking about ????
Thank you for your comment...please watch my video titled "Fear No More: Genetic Testing for Preventing Cancer.
I am having a polypectomy and hysteroscopy on 9/26. Am scare not because of procedure but general anesthesia and i hv BP. Please put me in your prayers
Absolutely! Jesus please give her peace to know that you have everything under control and please bless the hands of her team that they would treat her with compassion and respect and I pray that they would treat her as they would treat their own sister or mother. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
