They are good looking bodies that’s for sure. But the only manufacturer I think giving you fair price for pro bodies and pro lenses right now is OM Systems. But I truly hope all the manufacturers do fantastic so the camera industry continues to flourish.

Another quality video David. And Yasmeena of course credit to you. The next camera that I will purchase will be the Leica S series, Hopefully the SL3-S mainly because of the interchangeable lens system and 24 MP is more that I need. I am an amateur photographer (but serious about my efforts). Hand made makes it much more valuable that mass produced. Better image quality is in the eye of the beholder. By what YOU want, not what people that you don't know their true motive for recommending one camera or another tells you to or not to. Always insightful and deliberate. Bless you and Yasmeena.

So your jewellery story at the end rings to me.

The SL3-S is a great camera - the closest we can get today to EVF-M they won't make. High ISO was great on my SL2-S with the same base sensor, and gets PDAF for improved AF. The whole it is handmade argument is however irrelevant - the high end Japanese models are similarly piece built up by skilled technicians.

YT'rs take themselves to seriously and to dramatic. I'm still loving my Q3's everyday and did take many YT'rs opinions in mind, but real final sale for me was seeing workshop participants using it, seeing their photographs and then buying one and trying it for myself. I just sold my other dream camera, the Nikon Z9 as it was a beautiful camera and getting better with firmware updates, it was pushing me to be as you said, Jack of All, Master of none. Leica Q's and Nikon Zf is helping me find my happy place. Thank you. 🙏

Using SL2-S I am happy with most of its features. Not sport shooter, ocassional video. The new firmware made SL2S better in Af department, so for now, I am skipping this one. SL2S serves me plenty. Actually thinking of adding Dlux8 . Thanks for the video.

Junge, Du hast das recht. It is a nice camera, from P&S to full auto pro and all in between. It has some nice tricks and its compromises are rational. And it is echt Bauhaus to see. The Swede who designed it was very good. All in all, a good easy to use, easy to carry and rewarding piece of hardware. In good health.

The Q43 looks very appealing, and I love some of the shots you got, David! But I had to skip through parts of the video because the audio was just so bad. It’s very hard to watch a video with bad audio. I recommend a DJI Mic 2 or Mic Mini with the receiver connected to the phone. It’ll make everything 500% better. 👍

Just to check if I understood you correctly: The camera wasn't signed by name of the person checking it before it gets sold? Just wondering because usually Leica does this with their lenses and M's.

An amazing ‘monochromatic’ location that makes colours pop. I think Leica has nailed it with this lens/body Q3 43 by the looks, and I really like my Q1!

The Red Bull 'Hanger-7' looks amazing David. Thank you for sharing. I have taken some of my students as guests of McLaren on guided tours of their facility here in the UK and now I want to visit 'Hanger-7'. I have been to Salzburg in the past and have often wanted to return, now I have one more reason to make that trip soon.

Hi David. I do understand why you would prefer the D-lux 8 over the Fuji at times because of the more flexible lens. I also have the Fuji X100VI along with a Nikon Zf (and many other cameras), and I am going to visit Stuttgart in a couple of months. I will be taking the X100VI because it is an amazing camera and I love the images, but I have just bought a 24-200 lens for the Nikon because I just KNOW I am going to want that same flexibility in a lens when I go into full 'Tourist' mode.

Hello David, Greetings and may I wish you a slightly late Happy New Year for 2025. I just came across your original channel earlier today, and from there to this newer one, and so far, I like what I see. I am lucky that I can afford to have several cameras, including Fuji X-H2, X-T4, X-T5 and X100VI, as well as a pair of Nikon Zfs. Lately, my everyday cameras are the Nikon Zf and X100VI, with maybe the Fuji being my first choice. I live in London and go out as often as I can all over the city taking photographs of anything and everything. Like you, I watch a lot of TH-cam videos and find many content creators to be quite false, but also that a few are worth watching and listening to. Lately I have been very tempted by the Leica D-Lux 8 and today I am going to a large photography show in London and may buy the Leica if it is available. I love travel and over the last 5 years have travelled extensively in the UK but also to Rome, Florence, Pisa, Vienna, Strasbourg and Paris and shortly I am going to visit Stuttgart and Esslingen. I think the X100VI and the Leica would be ideal travelling companions. Thank you for producing such honest and interesting videos and I look forward to catching up on the ones I have missed and to seeing more from you. By the way, Vienna is a beautiful city and is my favourite city in the world outside of London. I first visited in the 1980s and fell in love with it, and my most recent trip was in 2023 in the summer when the weather was fantastic. And so was the Ottakringer beer too. 👍 Oh, and I subscribed here too, of course.

David - I’m 68, a few years older than you and feel like I have lots of tread left on my tires … you should too. I agree that at this point in our lives, we should get the things we want (assuming we can afford it). Best of luck to you… and enjoy the 43. I’m going with the 28. I’m most comfortable shooting 35, but occasionally want something wider - so, the 28 suits my needs better.

Blimey, only a few weeks ago the Fujifilm X100VI was the bees knees. This is why people are getting fed up of TH-cam, it’s a relentless GAS fest.

David - I'm happy for you and I'm sure that you put a lot of thought into purchasing the 43 mm. Starting my 81st trip around the Sun, I came to the same conclusion several weeks before you did and purchased the Q3 28 mm and I'm super happy and will also be keeping my Fujifilm x100 V camera for similar reasons as you I posted. Hi David, just came across your videos. Very refreshing to hear your viewpoints! I agree on the 43, but also 28 and I was blessed to be able to get both in the last 4 months. I also changed my 43 body color to black using the Alphagvrd product. And removed the red dot as well with the black screw dot. I also have the RRS l-bracket grip and it is very comfortable and functional for me. They are amazing machines and potential is really there. As for adobe, I didn't get an increase because I paid for year up front. And costs have not changed in many years, and I use LrC and PS almost everyday. Thanks for your thoughts, I did subscribe and like. Look forward to more of your videos, especially on the 43.

I agree with your thoughts on Adobe. I looked at my workflow and thought about ways to avoid the $240 a year but then the features and convenience won out. Great value for the money and well worth the price they are charging. I have the Leica Q2 and love it. I can’t justify upgrading to the Q3 but adding the Q3 43 sounds like a worthwhile goal to save for and experience that longer focal length and APO lens. Thanks for the video!

Boker tov David. I recently discovered your videos and look forward to each one. In terms of Adobe, I used to use a wet darkroom. If I used it anywhere as often as I use Lightroom I would spend a great deal more on chemicals and gear than I do on my monthly LR subscription. It is an amazing software package. Enjoy the Q3.

Greed is doubling the cost. Actually I usually use Capture One, but had to switch to Lightroom for my Hasselblad. Now I'm selling the Hasselblad. Back to Capture One.

As far as Adobe price increase, if you think it's worth it with the increase then continue to use it. If you don't think it's worth it to you then don't continue to use it. Other peoples thoughts on why "I" shouldn't use this or that doesn't mean a damn thing to me. Complaining is easy, doing is harder.

Good Monday morning David. Haven’t seen a Q3 43 in the flesh so to speak but getting it recovered seems like a good idea. What was Leica thinking? I like my black Q1. As a non professional and retired, it makes no financial sense for me (and others like me I would have thought) to pay for a subscription post processing model so I have invested in the Nik Collection for my workflow which is exclusively Monochrome in any event. Silver Efex 7 fits the bill. Also they’re directly approachable if there are problems! Enjoy your coffee…✌️

I just sold my Fuji gear and my Sony A7III and A6700 and switched to the Sony A7C ii + a used Leica Q1. Why did I do that? I love the smaller bodies, so the A7C ii is perfect and I still can use my prime lenses. The Leica Q1 is the thing I always was dreaming of and honestly, this little camera brought back the joy of going out a shooting photos. Are they always kinda professional? No, but it makes fun taking pictures again, to go out - regardless of the weather - and do some street photography or take pics of the daily life. Especially in times like this, we should enjoy more than always trying to reach for perfection! Really appreciate your channel and if you need someone for your PIN - let me know, Hainburg is just a few minutes away ;)

I had no idea who this woman was until I looked her up. Absolutely she has every right to do this. But if finding her disgusting is misogynist I’m proud to take that name in bold letters. And if she thinks she’s going to eventually find a good, honest stable man in the future after this………… I’m going to say her chances are close to zero. No man looking for a stable relationship will ever truly trust her. I pity her and her life choices.
