I just sold my Fuji gear and my Sony A7III and A6700 and switched to the Sony A7C ii + a used Leica Q1. Why did I do that? I love the smaller bodies, so the A7C ii is perfect and I still can use my prime lenses. The Leica Q1 is the thing I always was dreaming of and honestly, this little camera brought back the joy of going out a shooting photos. Are they always kinda professional? No, but it makes fun taking pictures again, to go out - regardless of the weather - and do some street photography or take pics of the daily life. Especially in times like this, we should enjoy more than always trying to reach for perfection! Really appreciate your channel and if you need someone for your PIN - let me know, Hainburg is just a few minutes away ;)
Thank you David for another great video. I picked up the X-T50 and the Leica D-Lux 8 and love both! I often pick up the D-Lux 8 and look at it a s a piece of art as you do with the Fuji X100 VI. Very happy with both. Bless you and Yasmeena for your hard work.
Glad I realised you had a new channel and that you are well. It's interesting that you now have two fixed lens cameras. I shot film with a 58mm prime in the 70-80's so when I came back to the art form with Fujifilm gear a year ago purchased their 35mm f2 and a Viltrox 56mm (about 50mm and 85mm) and since then a couple of other prime lenses. But I have just purchased an older Fujifilm X30 which whilst it has the smaller sensor (2/3) it has all I need with a tilt screen, EVF, manual 28-112 zoom and the lovely Fujifilm Trans II sensor. I will sell my X-M1 body now, and the primes, keeping my X-S20 for video and the 18-55mm zoom. I did not realise, a year ago, that zoom lenses are so good now, plenty good enough for an amateur photographer. Well I may keep the 35mm f2. :)
Thanks so much Banes, I informed my followers and subscribers in my last video there, that I will have to move and where to find me. Zoom lenses have a long way and I am glad you are happy with your gear. Great choice! 😀
Hey David, congratulations for your resistance against capitalist-stupidity😜very happy to still can consult your views every monday, especially those on the X100vi (yes I own one for a few months too and still love/hate the little beast). I find your views and the presentation (video) refreshingly intense by your calm presence compared to most of the pseudo-professional/hysterical so-called “influencers”. Please continue👍 see you next monday Greetings from Luxembourg Fred
Enjoyed your discourse. Still waiting for my X100VI and like you, was very impressed by Brownstone's review of the D-Lux 8. So, if you get the Q3 43, would you really need the X100VI and/or D-LUX 8? For you, I think it it just about the joy of owning beautiful things!!
As I said, LDL( will remain my everyday camera, no way I take LQ3 with me everyday. I will also keep FFX100VI for the sheer joy of its aesthetic and to work side by side. Yes, these are beautiful cameras but they add real value to my work and my existence. 😀
Thank you David, and good luck with your new channel.
Thank you very much 😀🙌🏽
All my latest great shots were done with Leica D-LUX 8 because it is always in my pocket.
Same here 😀
Your choices are great, both are very good cameras!
