I've seen what I assume is the Canadian CTV edit of Lisa's slime scene and it's a tad longer, with Christine looking upward and fake-gasping "Well, will you look at that!" right after Lisa gets slimed.

there are many assumptions about women that are totally wrong, dangerous and unfair. Women give life. People just ignore what women really are. Women safe lives too, even in though situations and when they are physically smaller. I recently saw a video where in a Russia a woman pulled a much heavier and taller man from comitting suicide by throwing himself into the train track wich was at high speed.

I remember watching this in the mid 80’s didn’t know that this was also broadcasted in the USA. Wasn’t this a Canadian show ?

I have to tell you that I did not like this episode. The reason is because it had nothing to do with drugs. If they were going to do it on drugs, then do it on drugs, otherwise don't do it at all. Another reason is because if it had been done a few years later, after Nancy Reagan's Just Say No campaign, it would have worked much better. This is a show involving teenagers and kids, and if they had done it during Mrs. Reagan's campaign, they could have really pushed the message to other kids not to do drugs. They likely would have listened.

I remember running home after school to catch this show . was the best ever, me and my 3 brothers would fight to get to the tv. this show was the best ever, my kids think its lame , but back in the 80's it was our snow, later came saved by the bell.

god these commercials on canadian tv were almost pathetically docile and hippie dippy yet ycdtot hit all these taboo subjects in a kids presentation lol..amusing juxtaposition between tv and the "real" world..i never saw any of these commercials on U.S tv

I have to confess. When I first saw this back in 1983, I almost was ready to call 911 on Ross on what he did at the end of this show. I mean he's been notoriously known for pulling practical jokes on kids, including Christine such as slime-ins and stuff but THIS was totally uncalled for. Luckily, it was over before the card was removed. At least, Ross never went that far on Christine since.
