LBP2-Torials 28: Measurement and Speed + Grid Movement
มุมมอง 29K12 ปีที่แล้ว
Ugh, this one was a pain to get right what I wanted to say. I hope you find it useful, as we discuss the uses of knowing how units work in LBP2's editor. This is relevant to LBP1 as well, where applicable. For discussion, please follow this link: www.littlebigplanetarium.com/topic/3903-lbplanetorials-28-measurement-and-speed/

LBP2-Torial 22: Slow Motion Effects
มุมมอง 49K13 ปีที่แล้ว
It's been far too long! I noticed that there is a little mistake in my statement that multiple switches can be just copied. That's not quite the case, but I leave solving that up the creator!

I miss your lbpv levels so much. It's been years but I always think back to them when I think about the best games I've played. Especially your last one that was so incredible like I was left in 'Limbo' after finishing it <3 when I made levels back then when I was young I always learned so much from you. Much love from - komodojr70
watching in 2024. still amazed
I'm watching this video and learning from it in October 2024. It's so sad that I've heard Sony will remove Little Big Planet 3 from the PS Store. The online features were removed long time ago. I used to build levels for my kids and they loved it. Now I'm doing the same for my youngest.
I doubt you'll see this but watching these videos (and ones like these) when I was 8 are what helped build my creativity, and start my passion for making things, so thank you for inspiring me.
There's some slight issues with this iirc. There's a jiggle at the end of movement that can slowly bring players off track. It's not precise. Also the same is true for relying solely on advance movers being scaled to blocks as there's not a perfect 1 to 1
Why not just wire the 4 player sensors directly to the AND gates? Like all the direction splitters and secquencers are simply redundant.
I love lbp2
I did not know that you work on lbp vita, that’s freak ping amazing it’s even better when I was using lbp vita levels as inspiration for my own this is a amazing guide for making levels
i wish i got lbp2 as a kid! i only played lbp1 and lbp3 :(
I know you might not see this but you are a legend for showing us this tutorial.
I was searching this level for years😮
I know this video is literally over a decade old, but I've just gotten on custom servers, and this, along with a friend, have really helped me get alot better at making levels. Wishing you the best!
i remember watching this when i was like 12 or smth
Still to this day this is the best health bar tutorial. Everyone else uses counters, but this allows for a much larger range of control. I am currently using this type of system to make a tower defence level. By using a sequencer set to positional with batteries ranging from 10 - 100%, I can control the damage the "bullets" do by simply connecting a tag sensor (set to signal strength) to the sequencer. I can then connect the corresponding tag to a battery and adjust the % damage just by changing the battery %. The advantage is I can have a set of enemies that progressively get harder and harder as the waves pass without needing to have a whole bunch of emitters with the same enemy and different counters for health bars. This dramatically saves on thermometer space. (I hope this makes sense lol). This is game is old af but there is still a community around it. They have custom servers now and it has revitalized my motivation to continue making levels. Thanks again for your awesome tutorials! (:
I remembered this today for some reason after 12 years. I was always really impressed by this.
10:08 GET OUT OF MY HEAD
Do some tutorials using little big planet 3 Like doing some little big planet 3 versions of the old tutorials using the new logic and stuff from little big planet 3 like the static option makes it stay up in the air without the anti gravity tweakier
Your custom tutorials are amazing
Twelve years ago seems so far away. I miss when these videos were what I looked forward too after school, learning so much and loving every second of it. I'll always appreciate what you did for the game and the people who played it.
•••••Hi. God made everything. His son Jesus died to forgive all and rose to life 3 days later.••••• Breathe air.
Ahhh, memories. I hope you're doing well. 10 years and no updates. I hope theres a new lbp. LBP4 for ps5
Same. I learned and loved so much of his stuff. I was somehow lucky enough to be able to share teampicks on vita with him even though I was truly unworthy of being in the same category of his art back then. - komodojr70
@Moder6969 I managed to get a Team Pick on LBP3, but I guess none of it matters now that the servers went down. Wouldn't have been possible without what I learned from these tutorials and what I tought myself with the new LBP3 logic. I'm going to Restitched when it comes out. Looks like its made with love from fans of LBP!
I love this game
Lmao get gud at platforming bruh
The intro is awesome
Thank you so much I was trying to find a video about this and it took a while to find one but you were the first to help out thanks man ❤
Bro this' so cool! I did not know logic was this advance in LBP. I'm DEFINITELY going to try this out when I hop on LBP3! TYSM for this hidden knowledge!! Can't wait to make some cool concepts with this. ;)
I like messing with logic in LBP, and I've just now stumbled upon this. I'm a little too excited to mess around with this and create crazy stuff! ;)
first comment in a year
its like a fake player
And thus, train bomb survival was born
Did you end up studying electronics, electrical or computer engineering? Lol.
Amazing 👍
A good way to make levels and a good way to use the grid to!!
Can't believe it's been over ten years since these were a thing. I miss the good old days
Yeah. I remember watching these for level-making help.
2022... nostalgia is a bitch
I love that logo amazing
im makeing a boss lvl and this is porfict for a old vdeo
This intro is so nostalgic to me
Using this for a little Fnaf game, hopefully i can upload it when the servers come back up
Legend
man i miss this game. was my prime childhood
Same for me
Man this brings me back.
In case anybody else is watching these videos after a long time, I wanted to mention compherMC is a level designer at Tarsier Studios, the people who made Little Nightmares 1+2.
Niceee thank you for the info i was wondering where this chad went!
Is his name mentioned in the credits? I'm trying to complie a bunch of information about him, as I, by pure luck, stumbled upon his old math blogs. It had a picture of his LBP avatar on the webpage and I immediately lost focus on what I was doing.
totally not watching in 2021 to re-learn Create mode in LBP 3 so I can play it on my PC using PS Now...
I missed him a lot today
I like how he smacks you then shoots it’s pretty deadly
