T6zero Emergency Shelter System by Coalcracker Bushcraft
When will this cammo version come back in stock?
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go to local mil surplus
Hood doesnt even cover your hat bill. 🤷😤
Are you still selling these, I checked your site and it just says product unavailable instead of out of stock. Please tell me it’s still available haha I don’t care if I have to wait on a restock, I just wanna get my hands on one lol
Nice kit! 2 questions 1. do you have an idea when it will be available and 2. Will you be coming out with a video on your wool hood (Found it when I was looking for this)? it looks nice I'm a little concerned it would be hard to pull the hood down if you start getting warm.
“The more you know, the less you need.”- Mors Kochanski Bushcraft 2024 all you sailors pronounce bowlin wrong and my frying oan can best your frying oan. Jumped the shark
Why is a smaller T6 Zero micro $95 which is $20 more than the T6 Zero even though it has less fabric? Unless you plan on raising the price of the T6 Zero that makes no sense to me.
Ridgeline? We’re talking about a string? Tied between two trees, right? It’s not a euphemism for some NASA moon mission or anything is it. String? Trees? Knots?
These sold out quick! Can't wait until they are back in stock . Such an awesome idea and kit
Yet another solution for a problem that does not exist. SMH
Made in Pakistan? China?
Now add a hole for a poncho.
Are they pre shrunk?
I love your intro. It’s short, rockin’ and I love that guitar scale synced to the rapid fire video snippets. I watch it every time I tune in instead of skipping the intro. (did I say really tune in? Hi! I’m old!) 😂
Dan, I like that you have a channel highlighting your gear. I look forward to more. Show off all your stuff!
Hudson Bay. Makes the best
Faribault Mill blankets are just as good.
100% wool ? What country ?
So what is that in bed size like twin or full king or queen close to something like that please respond Christmas is coming and my wife wants to get me something I love the idea of wool
I would love to buy several of these.....but $95.....woooooo. Not gonna happen
Nice kit. When I put my ridgeline kit together, I choose 3 different color ridgelines. I don't know if people would be interested in having 3 different colors or not, but it probably wouldn't be difficult to add that option since you already offer 3 different colors.
Why is it $20 more than the standard one?
Probably Bidenflation.
Any other colors coming for these?
Is it possible/realistic to place a temperature survivability estimate on the frontier blankets like they do with sleeping bags? Would the heavy work in, say, 32-degree weather without a fire?
No. Too many factors. It's too variable depending on wool quality, weave, loft, etc. Then factor in individual differences like body weight, if you're a cold or hot sleeper, etc. Then weather conditions, temperature, air humidity, wind, shelter conditions, did you sweat heavily prior to sleep, did you eat and hydrate, what's your clothing like, is it dry, etc.... That said, as an example, I have a Faribault Woolen Mills 100% virgin wool queen size blanket. "Pure and Simple.".... with proper clothing, proper ground insulation, proper shelter, proper wrapping, and some sort of cover over the wool like canvas poncho, bivvy bag, etc.... it will take me down decently warm to happy warm into the 20's °F, WITHOUT a fire. But, again, lots of factors, your personal skills, experience, and knowledge with wool blanket camping. When trying to get into wool blanket camping, it's better to try this stuff out, dead of winter, just outside your home BEFORE giving it a try somewhere far out into the wilderness. FOR ME, I can get toasty warm with wool and I have never had a regular, properly rated sleeping bag I've been warm in... it's so dependent on the individual and other factors. Other people will tell you that you'll die below freezing in wool and you need a sleeping bag. The only way to know is personal testing.
Not being critical or a smart-ass, but how do they compare to the Hudson Bay blanket?
Nice kit
Really ave stuff
Thats really cool bit of kit love it
Do some videos using the items you sale
Oh and a plug for their quilt! It's great, very warm and comfortable. I haven't used it out in cold weather yet, but should be fine.
I enjoy both bushcraft and backpacking and seeing what is out there for the latest gear, especially as we get closer to Christmas and family is asking what I want. The contrast between videos this Saturday morning is hilarious. I get one channel telling how to shave micrograms from my load with the latest ultralight gear (but more fragile) and then another showing absolutely bombproof gear (but will weigh a ton). Good news is both are right and equally entertaining and relaxing. I take elements from both, I love using some of the hightech backpacking gear which I am sure some bushcrafters would disapprove because it wasn't used on the Oregon Trail but I also carry a fixed blade AND a full size Swiss Army Knife which I know sends some of the untralighters into convulsions (some carry no blade at all to save weight). By combining both disciplines I find I get a lighter pack but still have the confidence in my gear and skill set because of bushcraft.
Wow! I haven't seen a wool blanket for fifty years! I'm ordering one. My grandparents always threw one over me when I stayed at their home.
I have four of his original wool blankets. I love them!
Nice.
I hope Dan makes a ton of money off the Instagram community with this. But I have to say are people who don't know how to tie a knot in paracord actually gonna go out in the woods and last more than an day?
Nice😊❤
didn't you have tattoos on the fingers of both hands...?
Great kit. If you wanted to go a step further and offer a sort of DIY kit to help people get a start in making their own gear, you could get the pieces of the caddy cut out and make an instruction sheet and offer the kit in an un-sewn format. It does not look like there is any fancy stictching and that it could be sewn on a normal sewing machine. Once people get the idea of how to make the caddy, they can design more caddies, and or you could offer more DIY kits. Also for discussion, would the caddy be a suitable fireside project to be completed in the woods with hand stitching?
These socks are THE BOMB! Just got 2 pair, 1 pair each for myself and my 20-something year old kiddo, it's nearing 20 degrees outside right now (and we haven't yet moved out from our major flood damaged and drafty house), but I can pad my little feet anywhere and my toes stay WARM. NO SHOES. WARM!
What country are they made in, is it virgin Wool ?
Od green 💚 please for the blankets
Do you sell just the bag?
The Frontier heavy would be awesome for keeping in a car kit
Where are these blankets manufactured?
Chaiwan
N Korea 😊
14 pounds I can carry a power supply and electric blanket…have fun stay safe.
I hate you. Soooo much. Every single time I’m putting together something. You make it waaaaay better. Grrrrr. Adding to basket
You are out doing yourself.
I already have a presetup system.. just pick my tarp, selter and the rigline bag and im good. But for someone new to the game this would be great.
Do they have smallpox?😉
Right on no small pox just covid 19
👌 For a while now, I've kept a pre staged ridgeline, extra line, and 6 aluminum tent stakes in a random zippered pouch along with whatever tarp I was bringing with me at the moment.
I'll bet it cost you a lot less than $55.00.
@StoneE4 Well, it doesn't have dividers and pockets, and it's definitely not as "cool".
Wool blanket 14 lbs Down bag 3lbs
So true
Wools ability to keep warm even when wet tho...
I have an autoimmune disease, that is triggered by bird dander. Can no longer do down. Wool does keep you warm when wet and actually easier to regulate the temperature by the number of layers.
carry less soy!
@@utubeu8129 It's 11 lbs less I'm 65 & my knees are shot, every pound counts
