Definitely a great idea for gathering, mushrooms, edible plants, fire material. So many great uses.

my favorite piece of gear, highly recommended
I will say I added a snap so the top would stay closed, and a button and thong on the front to keep the front flap closed

Great quality piece. Mine is still like new after a couple years of use. Way more room inside than I would have expected! If you don’t have one get one. One of those wool blankets is next on the list….

Adding a zipper to the flap, then when we lift it open there is not any possibility anything will fall out. Next, an adjustable strap, think longer with one end connected though double D--rings providing at least one strap end being disconnected. Regarding the sowing of the strap, is it sown to the haversack material sandwiched between the strap and the inside backing patch. Having owned other bags without a back-side reinforcing patch, the sowing eventually ripping the fabric. How about including a grab handle; may not be period, however it would be functional. Paul Kachurak's improvements are excellent as well.

I sewed an extra little pouch on the inside of my haversack, not sure where that idea came from:) Those are great when hiking, I put in gear that I like to access during my hike (water bottle, saw, knife, snacks) this way I don't have to take off my backpack to grab those items when needed.

How would you call it if your wife or girlfriend was carrying the same shoulderbag……???

Been meaning to order one for a while now; finally did so a few minutes ago.
Should go nicely with my 2qt ALICE canteen strap/pouch, my Coalcracker T6Zero and my Coalcracker wool blanket.

I agree. But the fact is that you can make one very easily, quickly and inexpensively...

It would be nice if you had a zipper on the top flap and if the carrying strap was adjustable

Are you going to sell decent oilcloth outerwear? It doesn't seem to exist.

I would be interested to know if you also use back carriers. I mean the aluminum or made of solid wood

In fairness to him, you’re hella far away from his small business and if it were a huge company with reasonable shipping globally the quality would inevitably go down.

ever consider adding about a 2 inch wide band between the front and back for a little depth and extra room? and maybe a zipper on the top compartment? it'd be nice to a loop on one side where the strap meets the sack where you could attach a game carrier when out hunting too!

I love the product, but I think you should reduce the size of the logo or just use intials up in one of the corners. You'll sell more. I dont like being a walking endorsement.

You need to make one slightly larger. Your competitors “Boreal Mountain Anoraks” have nailed it. Bag is 14”x16” w/ a 2” strap 54” long! At only $24 more it’s well worth it. C’mon CCB…🤷🏼‍♂️

I almost hate shoulder bags, there is no comfortable way to carry them. I prefer backpacks.

Dan in America we call that a purse. Why not make your oil cloth into a backpack? Backpacks aren’t purses, but purses are purses.
