The All Powerful Anti-Tank . . . Vespa?
In this video, I talk about the Vespa 150 TAP. An advantageous anti-tank unit developed by the French military in the 1950's. This forgotten scooter was completely new and revolutionary at the time but due to the multiple shortcomings and flaws with its design and deployment, these extraordinary machines were all but left to gather dust and to be lost to time.

In this video, I talk about the Ki-148 Guided Missile. An experimental munition developed by Japan during WW2. This forgotten air-to-surface missile was completely new and revolutionary at the time but due to Japan's multiple "setbacks" in late 1945, these extraordinary machines were all but destroyed and hidden. The Final Battle of “Fury” Is Real?
มุมมอง 2.6Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I talk about the 2014 movie "Fury" and how the final battle in the film compares to the real-life story of Audie Murphy, a Medal of Honor recipient, and the possible inspiration behind one of the best WW2 films of all time. Plus Audie's story may be even more crazy than the story in the movie, I guess you'll just have to watch this video to find out. Leave suggestions for future ...
The Parasite Jet That Shouldn't Be Able To Fly (XF-85 Goblin)

In this video, I talk about the experimental tiny parasite jet designed to be launched from a bomber mid-flight, the XF-85 Goblin. More Affectionately known as the Bumble Bee, the XF-85 was a very unique idea that seemed to be quite effective at what it was designed to do but multiple setbacks led to the eventual cancellation of the innovative design. The German War Crime Tank (Ersatz M10)
มุมมอง 2.1Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I describe the somewhat controversial Ersatz M10. To the naked eye, this may seem like a obscure U.S. Army tank from WW2. But in reality, this was just a ploy from Nazi Germany to gain an unfair upper hand in battle. "Isn't it a war crime to disguise yourself as your enemy?" you might be saying. Well watch this video and you may find the answer to that question. Leave suggestions...

In 1967 HHC 1/68 Armor in Baumholder, West Germany pulled an M24 out of the base junk yard for static display guarding the barracks. I was the Battalion Maintenance wrecker operator and helped place the tank. Those of us tasked with the project were fascinated by twin Caddy engines in the old Chaffe.

Just mentioned @jehoiakimelidoronila545, his info is just purely wrong. The Ki-201 Karyu was Japan's planned production of the Me-262 A-2. However one of the 2 submarines carrying both the Me-163 & Me-262 A-2 sank because of US Catalinas. The other only carried recollections from the crew as well as the blueprints, schematics, and eye key witnesses of what it looked like. It was also carrying the engines. Japan already knew the 262s & Kikka would have performed poorly however the Ki-200 or what was meant for the Ki-202 would be excellent for intercepting fighters, & bombers. The Kikka on the other hand was going to solely serve as a jet bomber nothing more.

The first vehicle designated as a Main Battle Tank was the British Chieftain, entering service in the 1960. There were no MBTs in WW2, and cost of the Tank Destroyer vs. a vehicle that didn't exist for another 20 years was not an issue.

Regarding the forward swept wing, try Google searching the HFB 320 Hansa Jet. main spar. On the Hansa the spar passed through the cabin behind the seats. In the Bugatti it probably passed through the fuselage between the engines.

The barge you feature is NOT the ice cream barge. It is almost certainly YO-145, a Yard Oiler, pictured in San Diego Harbour in June 1943. There were three concrete reefers, built by Concrete Ship Constructors at National City. The Ice cream barge was called 'Calcium' at launch, later BRL-3072. She actually cost $1,139,075

I have simulator flown SAAB J-21. And it is very comfortable to fly with. The Swedish Air Force tested it against the P-51D Mustang and Sweden's other aircraft, the J-22. The SAAB J-21 is very nimble in the turns and can go very deep in the turns and fast in the roll plane as well. The P-51D was only fast in the climb up but was poor in the turns where the gyro characteristics and wing profile of the P-51D were worse. J-21B and J-21R could be upgraded more to J-21D, E and F, and J-21R E,F model could get thinner airfoil and sawtooth wing. I've had a tree out on my farm that was a SAAB J-21 pilot at the end of the war in F-10 in ängelholm in Skåne Sweden.
