I am from germany and i was sear hing to rend for 2years, now one year ago, just a few days bevore christmas last year, i found something ,just an old house , and not very clean, so my sin and his friend helped cleaning, i need to paint , thats not this easy cause i had a stroke and i am a little handycaped, but! My landlord is a great guy, he loves anymals like i do! He is alleays caring that everytning is fine, i try to help cleanig up this whole place ect. Its not allways the wonderful and extra special places that makes a home! So you did the right thing to take this place and i know, with time it becomes the wonderfulest place you would ever had! And i swaer its the best because xou call it home! Please remove thos carpets! And use this wonderful old wooden Floor! Its much more hygienical and you can also clean it with vac.if you want! I did this also, so i dont have to care about dirt taken by shoes or paws ! Cause its easy to clean! Welcome home, No more Landlord! Take time! Dont give up if something did not went as quick as you want! Best luck and! Happy new year! 🎉🎉🎉 Also to everyone who is reading this!

Congratulations. From my home ownership here is my advice... plan out all your dreams. Details help you keep going through the work. Get rid of the wallpaper strip it off all the walls. Strip out the carpet. Then clean. Get rid of ALL THE TRASH ASAP. All trash out of the house, carpet, wallpaper, the deck and all other areas needed cleaned up. When all trash is removed... the dreams can better be invisioned and you have the room to get to work. As you have listed the improvements with their details...yeppie get to work. all the improvements will encourage you. As you haul away the extra trash... load up. Dump. Then go do the dumpster diving and see what else you can find to use as you build your home. This is so exciting. Do the wooden floors!. Much easier with your babies. I love your dogs! So excited to see your dreams come true!

I agree to replace the carpet with a cheap one or vinyl it all and get big roll down. You have dog's and on big property with kid's. Smoking inside yuck and I'd do a cover porch and make everyone smoke on it. As for parents if they need a place I'd do rentals agreement for sure. just because there family doesn't make it right if it comes down to it. They do live in a trailer. But as your own place welcome to being a Land owner of taxes.

first of all I just want to say congratulations I am so so happy for you guys and if possible please remove all that nasty carpet cuz you don't know what it has you know better just to remove it maybe put tile or laminated wood whatever you got to do I know the little by little everything is going to come together little by little baby steps you got family everybody can pull together and help each other

Gonna tell ya now . Take that wallpaper down we did, and tons of black mold underneath, that we would have never known about had we left it up.. fair warning and check under trim

Vinegar gets rid of smoke smell , tsp probably the best thing to wash your walls with before painting . The carpets actually dont look bad and ive seen them clean them right up . Its a huge place . Good Work
