I'm 171 trades in using this strategy. I started December 14th. Laying with £12.50 initial stakes. My profit stands at £260.46. HOWEVER, if I'd left the initial lay and not split the winnings, I'd have won more owing to no scratch trades. if your lay stake is £12.50, you have to have an average profit from wins/scratches of over £12.50 for this strategy to be worth it. My average win/scratch is below £12.50. Also, my average laying odds are 4. Which means in theory i should have a 25% loss ratio. Mine is 19%. So in other words, if the loss ratio increases to 25%, my profit will be wiped out. So I'm not too sure this has any long term benefit. I might have been lucky and nothing else. Also, in your video the Oita game you banked a big profit on wouldn't have happened because you'd have stopped trading before 80 minutes and therefore those additional lays wouldn't have happened.

I have lost more than 3K on gambling, started as a whim now I am so ashamed of myself, at this stage I am only looking for a solution to get my money back, not a quick rich scheme. This is a cracking strategy. Similar to one I've been running for nearly 15 years. I find that Betfair doesn't always offer a half time market for the over 0.5's though.This will ultimately result in less opportunities. Not the end of the world though. Still a great strategy 🔥🔥.

Hi just one quick question. Sorry if this is a silly question but wouldnt there be a smaller sample if the odds were at 4s and even less at 3s?? The sample assumes that we would match regardless of the chosen odds? If that was the case you eould always lay at 3s

Interesting strategy and thanks for sharing. While I’ve no reason to doubt the overall success of it there are two obvious issues here. Firstly, you cant prescribe the overall strike rate success (88.44%) to different odds scenarios. Clearly, your chance of success laying at odds of 3.0 is going to be very different to laying at odds of 8.0. You also don’t know the composition of the 900 trades by odds range or how the sequence of bets, odds prices, wins and losses would have come. I’ve said it before that without actual odds information these backtests are largely irrelevant as even a high strike rate strategy can lose money with composition of odds not in favour and/or sequence of bet risk. Your success rate at higher odds will obviously be far smaller (and losses much higher) Secondly, the ROI statements are misleading. You are incorrectly using the total ‘staked’ amount at your total capital risked (e.g. 900 trades at £10 stakes = £9,000). That’s the stake you stand to win on the initial trade not your liability (risk). E.g. 900 trades laying at odds of 3.0 is total risk of £18,000 and this obviously increases dramatically the higher the odds range, e.g. 900 trades at £10 stakes at odds of 8.0 is £63,000). It’s a glaring omission given you do correctly show the loss from losing bets. This means the ROI from odds of 3.0 is 31.8% (versus the 63.6% shown). And at the other extreme the ROI at odds of 8.0 would be 0.8%. Might be worth re-stating those for transparency given they are almost double reality

I like the look of this strategy. In the backtest you had Draw pre match odds of greater than or equal to 6.0, have I got that right?

I’ve watched the video a couple of times and will have a good look at some upcoming matches. Is there any noteable advantage by just using 0-0 ht scoreline? Also, by placing initial U 0.5 goal bet at 3.0 and see if that gets matched ? It’s a fantastic concept but somehow I feel it can be improved to be a lot more profitable. Also, ( sorry), you mention filters ,can I access them?. Keep up the superb work guys.

Caan, in the spreadsheet, games 24 and 29, no goals are scored but profits of 104 and 109 are made. How is that possible?

81,40% winners is only possible if you bet on all these games before kickoff and then you have a lot of 1,05-1,20 odds included ... if you are waiting 10-15 minutes for better odds you will miss around 20 to 25% of these 81,40% winners ... that means your real winning rate is around 60 to 65% and thats pretty bad

What filters would you use on Sports IQ for acca matches? A back test using the same criteria as in this video gives 0 filtered results. I'm missing something somewhere - Thank you in advance :)

Every time I have a very profitable day I start thinking that i'm invincible and I grossly over stake the next day, only to be brought back down to reality with a huge loss, that hurts like a knock out punch. Its my discipline that is the weak link and I will be fixing it pronto.

This is fascinating, and particularly interesting to myself, as I’ve tried previously to put down into a formula what I generally do with a pen on the race card. I’m not sure of your views on or indeed if its particularly relevant when creating systems, but it was always the case in the past, that the ‘grader’ would work to offset advantages of a particular dog, to spread the probability. Example……..fastest time dog in trap one, would be offset by a slower but early paced dog in two. It’s what you’d call a bad draw in open racing, but deliberate in this case, to make the field more competitive. Point I’m making is, how do you factor in, deliberate (but not illegal) attempts to even out the advantages of statistically better dogs. My solution is………I mostly avoid graded races, but I’d love to hear other folks views please?
