I had these clips on some old VHS tapes. I couldn't see them elsewhere on TH-cam, so I put them up so fans could enjoy them.

Like others here, I’m from Hendon and can confirm that it really is that boring. It’s SO boring that the only two places it’s known for - the police college and the RAF museum - are actually in Colindale.

The character Palin is playing is the early, conceptual “Monty Python.” Before he was an all-purpose brand name, he was originally conceived as a slimy and obnoxious game show host!

You can actually go to shouting competitions in the u.k. they normally start outside Mc Donalds around midnight, or generally on council estates most summer's evenings.
In the paranoid sketch the sex offenders were put at either end.
Cleese would win this kind of competition easily. RIP Terry.

Hendon FC are well worth watching at Silver Jubilee Park. Their old Claremont Road ground was lovely too (I picture the man in the sketch as a proud season ticket holder).
A bunch of young Spurs fans in Canada had been to London on their first trip. I asked them where they had been apart from the old WHL and Wembley. They described this really welcoming club that they got to on the train. The lightbulb in one of the heads went on “Hendon!” Hendon obviously made an impression on them.
Can a Freeman of the City of London get free into library exhibitions in the other 32 London Boroughs??

I'm offended. I was born in Hendon in the 50s and it was very exciting. Your chances of being caught by Teddy Boys and being thrown down a pit were very high, and you had to cry really loud before they would give in and let you go home for tea.............. In the Wesh Harp, which most people call Brent Reservoir, there were fish (some say they were pike and some say catfish) which would pull ducks underwater and swallow them.
Why was Terry wearing a kilt?
Because he wasn’t wearing underwear and he didn’t want to compromise the punchline. Why not? He also could secrete the prayer shawl neatly and present it without rummaging in a trouser pocket, some people!
