I am just a die hard Cat and earth moving enthusiast. I collect antique earth moving equipment along with my grandfather. I also enjoy farming from the early 20th century so you will see some video related to that. My channel is just here to share the journey with you to see how things used to be done, and to get into how to repair some of it as well.
I encourage you to check things out, and subscribe. You will also find the odd new equipment tutorial mixed into the lot as well.

Welcome back to the channel everyone. Real quick shout out to all the new subscribers in the last month. Quick little video from the same place that we got the RayGo GIANT going near Devon, AB. The grader hadn't ran in about a year and the glow plugs don't work so we had to give a little shot of ether to get her going. Then I cleared of the vegetation for a new area where equipment will start getting moved for display at the museum. Also using this video to try working in the real sound with the d...

Smart way to do the valve keepers, with that drill press, smart! Did you have to do anything with the crankshaft bearings?
@@eddieslittlestack7919 thanks gotta use what you have available sometimes haha! I did not have to do anything with the crank bearings luckily on this starting engine, usually it is a must but I caught it soon enough.

We do a lot of batter and shoulder grading in Australia in that position. Add a bit of wheel lean and articulation and it’s a perfect combo for the job.

Doesnt work well with big loads because you have to drive forward to completely empty the box
@@mattstegall5095 works just the same, when the box is hoisted up and you need to pull ahead to empty the box, just move it from reverse to drive and pull ahead. Once the box is empty hit the down control past the detent and head back to the pit for another load. It’ll hold you in a lower gear until the box is lowered to a safe spot then start shifting up.
hello is this joysick option disabled and can you use it many times or can there be problems not disabled
@@Loris-o1r so depending on the age of your machine it may not have it, once it’s enabled though you can use it as many times as you wants. I would reach out to your dealer to see if your machine has it.
@ironman3406 I thank you very much for the final answer and good luck with your channel and once again good luck 🙌😊
Smaller than the Acco grader
Ok ? I don’t recall ever saying it was bigger in the video - there are lots of other ones bigger
Bonne continuation.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m glad you enjoyed this video, it certainly is a unique machine and I’m glad I had the opportunity to operant it. Talk to you soon.

Excelente! Obrigado por compartilhar essa maravilha!
Very very cool can I borrow it to dig a bunker ? 😊
Our county does not cut deep enough, just knocks the tops off and fills the voids with loose material. So it is the blade hands fault. I won’t even get into pot holes.
@@w.everett1523 if the wash board is not being cut to the bottom of the deepest rut then yes id say the operator is at fault, unless they are being instructed to do it that way by their foreman, boss, council etc.
Normally would that thing be able to move faster and stuff
A little bit yes - there is a second speed for the travel but the valve was stuck, and we also weren’t running the engines at full speed.
Really a rubber tired dozer I'd say.
We had a CAT 14-D Road Grader. I responsible for oils, greasing and service. My father was expert as an operator. There was 128 Grease fittings on it and it did not have the front scarifier. It did have a push block on the front and we occasionally pushed our 5 scraper wagons [Pans] with it.
I never knew such a thing existed, pretty damn neat😊
What were you thinking when you cut the sound off and added music? You broke youtube rule #1: Never add music over a good sounding engine 😂 great video
@@choochmcflooch6282 well drones don’t record Audio and some of the audio from other devices wasn’t very good - sound over was the next best option
I recall that we had a junked combine that looked a lot like this on the hill behind our farm house. We sold our farm about five years ago. I went back a year ago and it was gone.
just swapped my 259D3 for a 255 pick it up this week love the improvements
5 POINTS OF FLEXION
Absolutely 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯
I'm on my 3rd year with mine, love it, but rear hoe does work when steering wheel is tilted, the light is there to warn you that your sticks will hit the wheel if its not up, if the seat is in the turning position and lever hits it wont do anything as a safety feature but if you get turned to the back position it will then dig, sometimes i have the steering wheel set right where it won't hit but can spin back and forth without moving the steering column every time.
Nice to see! Antique Tractor alive and well in Saskatchewan.

Hello , I purchased new 265 a couple months ago, I’m have issues with and not seeming to get help, arms hitting body metal to metal , doesn’t seem normal to me, let me know if u have seen this
Hi there - sorry you’re having some issue with your machine. I personally have not seen this on the couple I’ve been around, I’d suggest getting ahold of your dealership directly so they can go through the systems to figure out the problem.
I want to add to how a washboard happens. Washboard also develops in thick soft areas where it's sandy, or soft .where the weight of a car tire feels a resistance or vibration type of vibration back up to the tire causing it to bounce. Like driving a toy car on a mattress. You'll be able to see a little ripple in front of the tire. Once the tire rolls over it causing the tire to bounce. And repeats causing a ripple effect. 😉👍
On the pool PAN, we used to take a dozer and pick the The back of the Pand on a hard Graham. To get it, start to cut and then if we get a good 😅
HoPto Power💪
Thank you so much for showing off the old girl ( 1066) Koehring start up 😊❤ The real treat was you explained the AIR control for the levers and thumb PUSH connectors on the two main lever controls I am so fascinated by those old Air over Hydraulic operating systems 😊 I pick up old operator manual from Internet when people SELL them. For me personally I OWN a 1978 BE Dynahoe 190 2 wheel drive. I ran one in 1979 on a mainline sewer job. I dug side sewer stubs. I feel in love with just the stoutness of a Dynahoe compared to the Case 580-C that I first started on. We had a 680 & 780 case on that sewer job. The 680 had a hoepacker And 780 also dug side sewer stubs. When you talked about leaky cylinders, my Two front dump bucket cylinders leak badly. I just did the left one, now have to take off right one. My backhoe end has what Dynahoe called ( Twin-A-Trol control) basically joy sticks instead of the standard for Dynahoe 4 levers. On Dynahoe factory spec. It was set up with JD control ( the boom on left stick) mine is set up with Boom on right stick. What I found interesting about the 4 lever pattern it was just like a Case only the swing was on far right side ( and separation) of 4 lever with 2 stabilizer short levers in the middle. It has a Detroit Diesel (353) engine rated at (92 HP) its Wt. is (19400)
259 and 299 are my favorite machines but let’s be honest the door absolutely sucks I wish cat would use the Kubota style door
Very nice skid steer with great 👍 upgrades from CAT. I love the two way throttle system. The joy stick volume control is just like a vehicle on steering wheel 😊 the monitor with all the different settings ( especially the tracking straight adjustment) is outstanding 😊 I love the big yet start button 😊 none of the KEY start with dirt getting in key hole. Very advanced design skid steer production line CAT equipment 😊
V12 in a full swing is crazy. Thanks for the cool video.
Love you bro
I would love to see this Oldsmobile 88 test drive video
