where do i get the wire harnes?

Has anyone ever had the idea of changing the entire dashboard for that of a 5th generation Prelude? Will it be very difficult to do it?

Why is no one actually showing how to wire it. Just doesn’t make any sense. I’m a visual learner so hearing how to do it has me lost

How did you fish through the harness in your car?

Is it plug and play. What’s the differences besides the grey box will it just plug right into the box

What immobilizer did you use or do you have hidden key near the ignition?

Mines comes with a red, black, yellow wire. The red came connected to the fuse and the black is for ground but I am confused on where the yellow wire goes, can you help me out?

Was that green wire your acc wire? On my fog lights there's no green wire but a yellow one and a blue one that feeds the headlights and the red one that was labeled battery which I think would probably go on slot five which didn't come with the connection just wire but still could be trapped into the ignition but I shouldn't have to so I'll just buy the proper fuse connection so I'm yet to get things working. Edit Okay with mine I put the red on the five and the yellow in the one right beside it and bingo were in action.

They beat a lot faster when you're in the process of filleting the fish.

One of the two gray plugs on the passenger side doesn’t go to my dash harness, leads towards the firewall, no reason to unplug it really but the second gray plug on my new harness has no where to go

Should've taken the wheel bearing out and replaced the whole stud, not part of one. Also, spell check is your friend.

You know where i can get a replacement fuel temp gauge or get mine fixed??? Help!!!

Did you already have electric trunk release installed prior to dropping it off for the viper installation?

If I can’t get this working 100% flawless I’m keeping my stock cluster. So for anyone who’s interested I have everything you supposably need. Cluster in great condition 124k miles Wiring harness Inverter box and dimmer. Send me a pm

After installing the cluster I noticed my speedometer is off about 7 mph, and my tach is off 800ish rpm. I doubt it’s the cluster, it was pulled from a running parts car, and the original cluster works fine. From what iv read this seems like a common problem with this swap. I grounded the extra wire but I’m wondering if it has something to do with that extra plug. Anyone know what those other 2 wires go to? Recalibration might be an option but if both clusters worked fine before, I don’t see why it would be off now. Maybe the extra plug is slightly more important than everyone believes or do the 94-96 use an updated or different sensor to transmit info to the cluster? Did you have any problems with your cluster readings? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Do you have to buy the temp/gas cluster for the EL too or just the left side?

Thanks for the video! I used this method to replace a stripped stud on a 2004 Acura TSX and it worked like a charm. The only difference was that I had to trim the dust shield just enough to get the bolt in. Saved me big money.

I did the swap and my temp gauge is now stick on hot any ideas on a fix?

why do this, the 4th gen cluster is one of the best looking cluster/dash preludes have, wish my 5th gen had digital cluster. i would understand an S2k cluster upgrade, but an acura el cluster is a downgrade, but that's just my taste, and doesn't nessesarly mean you share it. if you prefer the el cluster to the 4th gen ludes, then that's your thing. just saying i wouldnt go from digital to analog.

I hooked it up like you did but mine don't work my switch wires came out of the clip I think I need a new harness

I cannot find the orange wire. Is it tied in with one of the harnesses? I also don’t have a red wire with fog lights. Where does this red wire come from?

I did mine a long time ago I just cut and buttplug to the el cluster connector plug pretty simple took me 3 hrs tho lol

You shouldn't be allowed to touch people's cars. Do you work at a Disneyland shop, cuz that was a mean Mickey Mouse Job. I'm sorry bro, but, just do it right.. Cutting corners can always bite you in the ass. Take it all apart, pop the hub out and swap the lugs.

I was about to purchase a set of fog lights for my 99 prelude and do it myself.... then I saw how completed this looks to be.... nevermind.

Are there bulps in teh EL Cluster wich should be replaced before installing it?
