I enjoyed drive, do i connect with the MC, i think yes in aspects of loneliness and work ethic. But not like i build my whole persona behind it. But this video was a real sarcastic way of explaining the movie fanbase as well, so i think people shouldn't take it personally if they like drive

What I like best about this movie is the perfect casting of Carey Mulligan as the single mother, Irene. She looks like a sweet innocent girl, a very feminine young woman. The kind of woman most guys will naturally feel attracted to and be protective of. And this is exactly what the driver did. Protecting the innocent. Instead we have to deal with boss bitches and 'strong independent women' who want traditional men but don't want to act traditional themselves. Add to that the stoic nature of Gosling's character and it's perfectly understandable why this related with so many men. It's was the same with "Fight Club" back in the day. It's a very rare movie about what it means to be a man and hits it home.

I'm not even an incel but Drive and Baby Driver are the best movies i've seen in years, but Drive is personal to me since Drive and Taxi Driver are phenomenal, the violence, women, guns and emotional rollercoaster over all made me watch this a thousand times.

Fascinating how so many men identify with the hottest man in Hollywood.

I like the movie but I def wouldn’t want to be anything like the character 💀 “he’s like me” yeah no, I’m socially awkward and quiet but that’s not something I’m proud to relate to. I went into the movie entirely blind and was a bit disappointed when it turned violent bc I was hoping it would be a sweet romance but NAH I WAS WRONG.

Nobody is as confident and tough as driver but they're definitely on the same wavelength of the spectrum.

Gets everyone killed, throws his life away, throws away the money, gets stabbed and then goes who knows where. It's a total mindf*ck honestly. It took me 13 yrs to watch this, and I was better off not having watched it. What a total garbage. The only good thing is the soundtrack. It kinda has a Stranger Things vibe, but without the spookiness.

I didnt know that much about the surrounding culture of this movie, just watched it one day and really fricking loved it hahahah. It just really tickles my brain. It wasn't the deepest thing I'd watched or anything, but man, idk, I just love it so much. Didn't find the pacing slow or anything either. Also if you're reading this, whoever you are, please check out the Pusher films if you haven't already 🙏 they're by the same director and really freaking good. On the third one, heard it's a tiny bit of a step down but still really good :P

Dude, the pacing of the movie Drive is consistent with what the movie was intended to be: a throwback to 1980s neo-noir. Go back and check out the 80s films that Drive is emulating, like Thief, To Live and Die in L.A., Blow Out, Body Double, Blade Runner, Manhunter, and Blue Velvet. They all have similar pacing and imagery.

Yes the pacing is slow but given the good things that innpart come from it... Id rather have a slownpaced movie where you have excessive time to contemplate than risk losing subtlety

How is this movie going to be for incels? The driver literally treats the woman and her son well throughout the entire plot. You could have name American Psycho, Scarface, The Wolf of Wall Street or Fight Club
