Very clean looking example. I would keep it looking as OEM on the outside and interior and make fairly simple update-mods for engine/drivetrain and suspension. Things to increase ease of starting reliability/mpg in all weather as well as comfortable riding.

Its actually a Futureliner tribute vehicle, built on a modern frame. The cab is from a 50s pickup truck. Its smaller than a real Futureliner.

"Filling in the scratches to make the metal smoother" wouldn't be ideal for an engines cylinders. This would polish up the cylinders and cause blow by.
