Thanks for this. Not only Crash is a foundational childhood memory but the analogies of something so distant and enjoyable rooted in my past and being able to relate it with our current reality it’s admirable, struggling with finding meaning to our actions when in hindsight oneself, the individual, gives the meaning and no one can’t take that joy away from you. I’m taking “because it’s there” with me forever. With all the emphasis and gratitude I can possibly put on to these few words. Thank you.

Hey man I doubt you're ever going to hear this, but I teared up on your point about being passionate about your hobbies. I've struggled with being ashamed of things internally and getting myself hung up on stalling out and never doing things out of fear and ridiculing myself, and this just, affirmed me that at 28, finally starting a bunch more nerdy or outsider hobbies is fine. That I can and will keep doing what I love. I took on trying to speedrun Ninja Gaiden this year, I've gotten into so many more games that I always put off, I've done so much more for me in this last year and hearing you say those affirmative words at the end of this video exactly about the hobbies I love, you man I love you for that. You made my night.

Honestly this video is beatiful, from the music choice, the editing, the narration, everything is perfect. That ending got me real good, I remember this being the first game I ever played and how INSANELY difficult it was for a kid, I remember watching the coloured gems and thinking "how the hell am I supposed to get those?". PlayStation 1 games were something else... Growing up i had to replay all of those games because to me it was about my honor as a gamer. I had to complete them to see what it was all about. And here I am watching videos of speedrunners doing the craziest things that the kid me could have never believed. Games aren't "just" games, as you said in the end they create a community who is constantly trying to push it to the limits and it's simply beatiful. Maybe it's just the nostalgia speaking, but even if it was who cares?

Man... Arguably one of the best videos that I've seen in my whole life, Crash Bandicoot games are my childhood, and watch people speedrunning the original trilogy games were one of the funniest hobbies I once had as a teenager in my free time
