Hi and thanks for stopping by! My name is Alek and I make old fashioned Elder Scrolls analysis videos, mostly of Morrowind and Skyrim, two games I play the most. My content is often lengthy and I take my time getting to the point, so be warned. I do everything by myself (writing, editing & narrating) so content is subjective and is an expression of my personality and style of writing. Also, english isn't my native language.
As for the reason I'm doing all of this, I started making content after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in late 2021, so in a way this channel reflects my journey and battle with the disease. Returning to my favorite game helped me a lot. I never thought of myself as a content creator, yet here I am. So, don't take my videos too seriously and enjoy the ride.

Secret of Tel Vos and Turedus Talanian | Morrowind Lore
#bethesda #morrowind #elderscrolls #rpg #gaming
Today’s short episode talks about a peculiar outlander by the name of Turedus Talanian, an Imperial mercenary and ex-legionnaire who became a prominent figure among the reclusive Telvanni. What was his influence over young Master Aryon? We also discuss the origin and significance of Tel Vos. I propose an idea that Master Aryon had plans of reforming House Telvanni alongside his old mentor Divayth Fyr and Baladas Demnevanni, while seeking alliance with the Empire. Obviously, that plan never came to fruition thanks to the Red Year and Argonian invasion but it remains one of the best “what ifs” in the entire franchise.

This reminds me of a thought I had a while ago in the clavicus vile quest in Skyrim he states that the player character is almost as strong as him weakened keep in mind that this is a near omnipotent being also keep in mind that your character can be as low as level 9 so by this reasoning does that mean that every bandit above a highwayman is almost as strong as a literal god? Just some random guy with a sword is near a weakened god?
Daedras are arriving through conjuration. I have seen and heard 12.5 instances of Conjuration process for entity summon. 12.5 for 1 summon type instance I have seen or heard.

Loved the video. Also, what are the town mods you're using? I love those stone slabs around Ivarstead homes!
Thanks! This is the Elysium Remastered modlist. Here's the loadorder: loadorderlibrary.com/lists/elysium-remastered-wj-list-by-titansbane As for Rorikstead specifically, I think it's the combination of 2 mods: JK's Rorikstead and Rorikstead Basalt Cliffs.
You not only have a terrific vocals, but also an outstanding pronunciation of Dwemeris :-D
Thanks! And thanks for watching the playtrough! I honestly forgot about it already and it feels great revisiting these old episodes :)
Well, that's a thought! In any mod, I am always very much interested in the interior design part, but I do very much like the story behind this idea. I liked the screenshots, you are a capable interior designer and I am very sorry all your work is gone. I lost many many mods for all the ES games (III, IV and V), when my old computer crushed, so I feel for you. But, the skill you got from making it remains and you can make another one, that will be even better!
Not to mention that the first quest I get with the Companions is usually a hired thug type deal where I gotta beat someone up.... Luckily this game's first mission was to beat up Farengar.
Yeah... SHE killed a man, on accident, so strong, girl power, lol.
I really wish that the Silver Hand were not dressed up as basic bandits. If they had a decent heavy armor uniform, they would be a lot more believable.
I laughed so hard when the college took your gold :-D The education should be free, but it never is, somehow :-D And on the far north, with all the snow and nostalgia, you should be wearing your red colovian fur helmet, you would look just like Santa Claus :-D
If you are diseased the Vigilants that roam should offer you a potion of cure disease or have a spell they can cast on you to remove it.
Silny also means mighty in Polish :-D I would also feel not to good about leaving the poor guy in this place, but, hey, life. Much too often do we need to choose the lesser evil. You know, I have found the guy from Seyda Neen. He actually was NOT in Narsis, you know? He was in Teyn, still not a septim to his name :-) Didn't go far, did he now.. I am looking forward to seeing your house!
That must be Vodunius? He's on his way to Narsis (this city isn't in game yet, but will be in upcoming update and it's going to be massive). It's such a blast from the past revisiting this playthrough, even though it wasn't that long ago. Have you seen my newer playthrough? I posted it on my second channel because I didn't want to overload this one. I'll post all my future playthroughs there. As for Hlormaren, that's all gone with my old computer. I did it back in Serbia. I actually made a video about Hlormaren and there are some old screenshots in there. It's on this channel.
@@boreanknight I even did not know you had a second channel until your post a few days ago :-) So no, I am still enjoying this playthrough on this channel, but as soon as I am through with it, I will certainly check out the newer one. Yes, Vodonius. I remember somebody mentioning (maybe not you?) he was not to be found in TR. I was actually really pleased to find him though. What a gloop, that guy :-) Always eager to be taken advantage of. That's a shame with Hlormaren. It sounded pretty cool. I need to take a look at the Hlormaren video than.
OK, but why are the first 40 seconds of the video muted?
Got copyrighted suddenly because of music track so I had to mute it.
I think the imprisoned Guard in Tel Vos actually introduces himself as if Guard were his name.
Can someone explain why the ship from Morrowind goes to the reach and not the much closer Windhelm or Winterhold?
Alright, I'm convinced. I'll reinstall OpenMW and give Tamriel Rebuilt a go.
I'm so glad I found your channel.
One way you can honor Caius is to play Oblivion as him. It's entirely possible and plausible for Caius to be the Champion of Cyrodiil. In that canon, upon being recalled he's imprisoned for dereliction of duty via drug abuse. Oblivion takes place 6 years after Morrowind and given how being in prison lowers one's skills it therefore makes sense that spending that time behind bars essentially resets Caius abilities back to 0. It also makes sense that he would have forgotten a lot of things via the combination of imprisonment and withdrawal. Additionally the Monk class is available in Oblivion so you can choose it but you're not locked into the path thanks to the stat reset from prison. Allowing you to build your CoC Caius however you like if Monk isn't your style.
You level up quite differently than I do. I usually... don't laugh... choose the skills (as major ones) that I actually use the least, so that I can level up the stats more. I always have +5 level ups, because I train different random skills so much. And of course I spend all my coin on training... (purely because otherwise trying to so anything is simply infuriating). Well, I does not mean I am a good player though :-) Do you use "Factions" addition to the Tamriel Rebuilt mod?
Paruddma is an odd name for a ship. Really makes ya wonder where it came from... P.S. The drowning trap in the Warehouse hits different when you're playing an Argonian. Imagine taunting a water breathing lizard before enabling a self sacrifice drowning trap. I bet that dunmer cultist sure felt stupid. That said there is something poetic about a horrible cursed pact that was formed out of fear of an Argonian invasion being stopped by an Argonian.
That claw had to be worth MORE than the entire town...
I was perhaps a little over-leveled when I encountered Akavoriac. My big Nord Viking was already Master of the Fighters Guild and going around fulfilling duties anyway. Perhaps out of a sense of obligation, perhaps out of boredom, or maybe he was just looking for a good fight. All the hype around Akavoriac had me hopeful that it would be that good fight. Alas he fell with but a few swings of Unending, as did the rest of Dun Akafell's residents. EDIT: While watching the video I went and fought Gra-Ghosh with the same Nord Viking character. Clad in my full Nordic Mail set and wielding Unending, I used no spells, powers, scrolls, or potions. A straight up fight. She managed less than 30 damage on me in 3-4 hits before falling under the axe as so many had before. Also, I want to recommend another mighty fight for you to consider. Paruddma the Dreugh Queen. I recently did this fight on two very different characters. The aforementioned Nord and much lower level Argonian magic user. While that Argonian has since gone on to become a Baluath Vampire, this was not the case when I fought Paruddma. Paruddma is located at the very deepest part of the winding underwater Dreugh city of Paruddma's Maw, which can be found in the far south of the current map at the bottom of Lake Andaram. You would encounter her as part of the Almas Thirr mages guild quest line. The fight is hard for a magic user, even an Argonian. Part of this is because in Morrowind Argonians do not have constant water breathing like in Oblivion and Skyrim. Instead all Argonians get a 2 minute water breathing spell that costs 5 magicka and always succeeds. This might sound like a good deal but when you also rely exclusively on magicka to deal damage it can be suboptimal. If anything being an Argonian gives you a false sense of security in your water breathing abilities. I had to raid the supply chests of every mages guild hall on both Vvardenfell and the mainland, plus brew my own potions and buy as many as I could find to ensure I would have enough magicka to reach Paruddma, let alone beat her. The way to Paruddma is long and winding, it is very easy to get lost and swim around for hours trying to find the right door to her lair. The entire city is filled with Dreugh and Blind Slaughterfish, including a fearsome Dreugh Man-O-War who's a proper challenge in his own right. I used over half of my stockpiled restore magicka potions before I finally found Paruddma. The fight against her is almost impossible for a squishy unarmored magic user. Even if I had any appreciable melee skills she can easily 1-2 shot me with her claws. Add to this her absorb magicka power, and the fact that when you're underwater you can only use on touch spells because on target ones do not work. I could not use my usual tactic of maintaining distance and raining down ranged magic, I had to get in close. The one saving grace is the shape of the room she is in, you enter from the top and there's a curtain of large hanging chains that surround the way down before it opens up wider. I was able to get her caught on the other side of those curtains giving me the chance to weave in and out of range. Without this her superior underwater speed would have denied me any chance of victory. There are also two heroes I owe my eventual win to. A Dremora and a Golden Saint, both summoned by scrolls I had stashed in my backpack (Ashfall mod) and almost forgot about. I wasn't even sure summons could swim but I was desperate enough to try and to my pleasant surprise they could. With the help of those summons I was able to not only beat Paruddma but trap her soul for the quest. It was a really fun fight because it was a genuine challenge, as are many fights with that character even after gaining a lot more power. Later on I went and beat Paruddma again with my big Nord. Having visited the enchanter and applying the art of Khajiit Trading to get an enchanted constant effect waterbreathing and swift swim ring in exchange for some of the many unused weapons in my loot pile, he was able to explore Paruddma's Maw at a more leisurely pace. However even with full heavy armor and the mighty axe Unending the Dreugh Queen proved a worthy foe, one of the more challenging fights Hroldir Stone-Cleaver has had. Paruddma is honeslty worthy of a whole video, and maybe you already did one I typed all of this before I bothered to look. If there is one I will find it after I finish this video and leave a comment there too, if not my recommendation stands. Just make sure you're well prepared with water breathing and restore health capabilities. You cannot rest under water and ranged attacks do not work. There is one saving grace though. If you choose to set a mark in the underwater city you can use Divine Intervention to get back to Old Ebonheart to rest or resupply before recalling to your mark. I didnt figure this out until my second visit when I realized Hroldir didnt have any means of soul trap that wasn't ranged. It sure would have helped my poor Argonian mage, but perhaps its for the best as not having that knowledge made the first fight all the more challenging and memorable.
Unending has a secret enchantment, not seen in game but it makes it really op. Something about increasing damage if you fight a stronger opponent, or maybe I remember it wrong. One of the developers wrote about it. I believe I slayed Akavorioc with it as well. I mean, Unending is really a weapon to carry you all the way through, I used it only when nothing else worked lol.
@boreanknight If I recall the dialogue from when you receive it correctly it mentions something about responding to adverse magic. I always thought it provided some kind of magic resistance buff that mirrors whatever magic is being cast at you but I've never really narrowed it down. I like it more for its aesthetic and the excellent minimum damage. Most big 2 handed axes, even ones with higher max damage, have a minimum damage of just 1. The fact that Unending has a whopping 15 minimum damage is great for those quick finishing hits when the enemy is at low health or if you don't have the opportunity to wind up for a full damage strike. I wish more games used Morrowinds weapon damage system, I really like how it's based on wind up rather than a dice roll for damage. I also rarely enable the "always use best strike" option because changing my strikes it feel more like a real fight.
One gets the impression, that Morrowind is all about looking for something. A cave, a captain, whatever :-) I just kept shouting at a monitor "ON THE SHIP!! THE CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP, NOT OF THE LEGION!!" :-D
Haha is this the one where I got lost again :) I'm very good at it!
@@boreanknight Yeah, only this time you was looking for a good captain of the guard, whilst you were supposed to be looking for a captain of a ship :-) I was shouting at the monitor so loud, my dog started barking at me :-D
Yo diria q sin el poder del coradon d kagrenad es el dios mas debil d todos literal pero el mejor billano d la historia sin duda alguna xdd
You do really do it the right way :-) I would have thrown in a towel like a million times, and go to the internet to search for the cave's location :-D Do you ever have something like an abode? At least to dump all your stuff, like books to read later by the fireplace? I always start a playthrough by looking for a house (or making one myself). Makes me so much more at home in the strange alien land of Morrowind... Thank you for another wonderful adventure :-)
Part of the fun is getting lost! :) I always think of finding a home but rarely do. I believe I had a home in this playthrough, a house in Andothren by the sea. If not, then it's in my newer playthrough on my second channel Borean Plays, I did that one earlier this year. Btw. my favorite home in Morrowind is Hlormaren, a Dunmer stronghold west of Balmora. It's full of bandits and slavers so after clearing it out I turn it into my personal castle.
@@boreanknight Hlormaren?! And you said Morthal was morbid?! :-D And actually my favourite location for a cosy cottage in Skyrim is Morthal, and, well, call me dull, but in Vvardenfell I like the Ascadian region the most. I have only played TR for like a quarter of an hour, so I do not have a favourite location there yet. Do you mod Hlormaren to make it more.. homey, or do you just take it as it is? :-) btw its impossible to make a private castle in Oblivion in Skyrim, due to respawning, but I would surely like to turn some of the dwemer ruin into my magical study...
@@KasiaSzatkowska Hlormaren was my first Dunmer stronghold so it left an impression.. I used to "mod it" through console commands and mods, turn it into a headquarter for Imperial Knights. I would add a library, bar, forge down in the basement, plenty of storage and personal quarters at the top. Each section was dedicated or named after a certain Divine, like Dibellan Quarters for a tavern, Zenithar's Forge etc. It was fun but a very long work so I never completed it. I never learned to properly mod, but if I did, it would be Hlormaren as an Imperial Fort. In Skyrim I mostly used Lakeview manor, or when I roleplayed a Vigilant I lived as a nomad, so every cave or ruin was a temporary base.
@@boreanknight That sounds awesome! You should show it some day :-D I would certainly love some guided tour of your premises :-D even if they are not completed, who cares, 90% of my house mods are not completed...
I know I exploit F5-F9 faaar to much, but comon, you did not eve use it for this silly "expelled" situation?!... Wow :-) My characters are mostly Dumner, so I actually was keen on playing as a liberator of Morrowind (haha), join Cammona Tong or try to undermine the Legion somehow :-> well, Bethesda did not give any chance for that. I mean, even though the Dumner civilisation looks a bit like ancient Sumerians to me (with a faint echo of far east, especially in the Redoran part, and not so far east with the Ashlanders), the whole colonisation business is clearly based on the Roman Empire and just gives me a bit of unease. I see why it all had to collapse in an ugly way in Skyrim. Why the Colovians could not just make a healthy business interactions with all the different nations around Tamriel, rather than conquering them? Eh. Well. I suppose it is the way the world is. However I would like to be a liberator of Morrowind and the one who gets rid of the Empire :-D Lets just imagine :-) And than obviously I would make slavery illegal, and that would make a hell of a riot, would it not? :-) Just fantasising :-)
I don't think I ever used quick save and load, probably too paranoid lol. I only reload when I have to i.e. character death :) It makes it more fun! You'll probably laugh but my every single playthrough is pro Empire, which is why even after 20 years I still haven't played certain factions in Morrowind. I love their armor and knightly ranks combined with Imperial Cult, it all reminds me of paladins and knights so I enjoy it. I still love Redoran and usually join their House. Even though Imperials and Redoran don't like each other, they share mutual respect.
@@boreanknight Hey, we are all biased, I suppose, that's why after 20 years I always play as much anti-Empire as I can :-D Obviously it is not very much possible to play totally anti-Empire, since you actually have only imperial guilds to chose from (I mean even the thieves are Imperial and they fight with native Camona Tong...) and Morag Tong which is plain dull, especially if you compare it with novel-worthy questlines in Oblivion and Skyrim. I never join the Legion or Imperial Cult, I am always in the Temple and thief-assassin-archer-a bit mage as well (reminds me of Robin Hood merry gang :-)) However I also always join Redoran. I have never joined Hlaalu (too Imperial :-) nor Telvanni (too weird even for me). So that's wonderful, how much this game is versatile and how much fun it can give to different people with different ideas. And the more different your playstyle is to mine, the more I enjoy watching your adventures :-)
I like the way you talk about how you interact with the stories in the game, I think your breakdown of the vibe of the game is spot on. I think taking the time to think about the themes and archetypes you're playing through really deepens the experience. " it left my character permanently scarred, even after undoing all the wrongs." really feels like a core thematic concept of the Elder Scrolls, I felt the same way playing through Oblivion.
Ivarstead is a lot of fun. It kind of has that same fun that I found in Oblivion's "Paranoia" quest that most people mark out for. But is something Skyrim does a lot. In "Paranoia", as you arrive at Skingrad for the first time you'll be pointed pretty quickly to a Bosmer named Glarthir who everyone thinks is a bit wound up and crazy but generally more "Eccentric" than "Dangerous". If you talk to him he arranges a clandestine meeting around midnight behind the chapel with you. Telling you that he thinks there's a conspiracy in town against him and to investigate three different characters and report back to him. The first time you play it, you'll probably figure the quest title of "Paranoia" is apt. As it just seems like people going by their day to day lives doing normal Oblivion NPC stuff. Go to this place, do a repetitive animation related to their work, or eating a meal. Having a fairly stilted conversation with another passing NPC about some random rumor in the world, nothing that seems unusual at all, and you'll probably assure Glarthir that they're innocent (and get him to attack you as a suspected agent of the conspiracy) or maybe tell him to go kill someone but you're sure that he's wrong. But the thing is... there's a LOT of random conspiracies and strange secretive cabals in Skingrad that you find out as you play more in the game. During the Bruma Quest "Brotherhood" you find out a citizen of Skingrad was killed by someone claiming to be a Vampire Hunter, and that they were a Vampire (Falsely). During the Mage's Guild you find out that the Count and his wife are both Vampires and are doing this secret conspiracy to mislead/eliminate Vampire Hunters and Vampire Covens trying to set up in the city. You also find that he apparently does his "Feeding" at the vineyards just outside the city (a place where Glarthir mentions something suspect in his notes, having seen someone conspicuously try to bury something covertly there). You have Mythic Dawn Agents in the city of course. During the Dark Brotherhood Quest Line there's this whole "Murder Mystery Mansion" thing being set up in Skingrad. The brother of one of Glarthir's suspects is involved in a conspiracy to overthrow the count himself. During the Fighter's Guild there's a conspiracy that falls out as you try to cover up the fact that they reneged on a contract. Heck speaking of the Fighter's Guild in general there's this weird thing where the Guild members in Skingrad are all obsessed with hunting Goblins yet there's very much plentiful goblins right on the main roads out of Skingrad that aren't being hunted. Among others. Like the city is RIFE with conspiracies and the idea that he saw signs of some of these Conspiracies, and just got the wrong conclusion... is pretty valid when you know everything going on in the city. So the more you play in Skingrad, the more you might wonder doing "Paranoia" on subsequent playthroughs that there isn't something there perhaps. So many secrets in the city. Maybe one more that you're not seeing during the quest. But is it really... Paranoia? Similarly yeah, Ivarstead is a town that I think most people just pass through without a second thought while on quests elsewhere. Maybe do the Sapphire Claw thing but they don't really think about it. For a small town it's pretty densely packed with various things going on and strange implications and hooks. And the few that I've seen do deep dives before this on Ivarstead usually go "SHEOGORATH TOWN!!!" because of things like Narfi being "Crazy" and a piece of cheese randomly on the ground outside Fellstar Farms. Which to me is less interesting because "Sheogorath" is like "Dragonbreak" when it comes to Elder Scrolls lore. An excuse to stop thinking because you hit a thought terminating catch all answer for anything that might be there. But it's more interesting to think about all the connections there and the web of relationships it applies. My favorite little one involving Ivarstead is so open ended that there's not really a good answer. Just north out of the village, down the hill is a Troll Den. In that troll den are two dead Stormcloaks. One of them has a letter on them saying that they got reports that sent them there, thinking it was "just a wolf" or something and easily cleared out. It's not Riften Guards, but Stormcloaks specifically. And that they got a call from a local to go to the Troll Den there by the river. So... who called them there? The Riften Guards in Ivarstead? Seems unlikely to me. Temba Wide-Arms? Doubtful to me, because she seems more focused on trying to make her mill profitable than luring Stormcloak Soldiers specifically to a deathtrap like that. Wilhelm? Maybe. At least, most plausible one to me. But why? And what conspiracy there? And why Stormcloak soldiers specifically instead of the Jarl's guards?
Similarly I always thought that Rorikstead wasn't really a conspiracy. I know it's really popular in the fandom because there's that book that states "Rorik's Stead" existed in the First Era, but in game Rorik is there and says he set it up after the Great War, 20 years ago. I always figured that was less intentional conspiracy and probably Left Hand not knowing what the Right was doing. Because the way I know Bethesda does things (they've said as much in various videos and interviews) is highly compartmentalized. Like someone writing In Game Books like that doesn't have to cross check with every other developer about what they're writing. They're just told to write a book about X topic and have at it in a vacuum. Similarly the person designing Rorikstead is told "Make a farming village" and nothing else and left to really design things as they wish. It can be fun to think but since the whole "conspiracy" of this Brigadoon style village out of time and people presuming Daedric pacts and such entirely depends on the discrepancy of the village being in the First Era in a single book and the modern inhabitants saying it's new.... I think it's a bridge too far to go myself. Which might seem weird considering what I said about Ivarstead and Paranoia up above. But it is how I feel about it.
I'm with you however on Eola casting some kind of spell on the player in your first conversation. Mostly because we see her have Invisibility before and after, so we know she has a magical talent. But also because of what happens when you bring the priest to the coven. Where she supposedly hits the Priest with a similar sort of whammy that puts him in a state where he just agrees to "take a nap" on a sacrificial altar. Not only that, there is also an in game book about people crashing a Namira Feast and how they seemed to get a similar sort of "Haze" put over their minds as they were convinced to take part in the feast and adopt names like "Lady Tressed" and "Tsrif Esruoc". It seems to suggest, at some point, that Namira's dedicated followers get some sort of Hypnosis or Mind Control magic through their worship. One of those perhaps ancient and unusual forms of magic that show up at times (like the Briarhearts of the Forsworn or Calixto's Fleshcrafting). And it's an interesting idea for why the Dragonborn goes along with it. Being hypnotized and saying "oh you are a repressed cannibal..." and such. Not even necessarily that unusual I suppose as the old "Character Creation Questionnaire" that they carried through from Arena to Morrowind each had a question about "Telepaths" suggesting they exist in the lore, at least conceptually but perhaps factually as well.
finding vigilants patrolling makes me feel safe
fucking cliff racers HOW FUCKING MANY ARE THERE
Actually you make me want to try install the TR... I would never have thought, because I do not like other peoples mods :-D (silly, as I have no time nor skill to make such huge mods as entire cities and pieces of lands with quests and stuff..). But I've grown to value your opinion and when you say, something is "vanilla plus" :-) I actually too find it pleasurable. Thank you for yet another hike in Morrowind. Best wishes!
TR is really more than just a mod. It's a 20+ year old project by people who love the game. It's based on in-game lore as much as possible and it feels like vanilla game and at times it's even better, because of newer engine and sheer amount of land space. Plus it's super easy to install! :)
@@boreanknight You know, you've made me just want to install this, and I messed up so badly, I cannot as much as launch mod organizer... Just do not laugh at me.. It worked fine, than it said "I need an update", so I installed (I thought I installed) an update and than it just showed me his bad finger and would not launch.. well.. I think I just need to stick to vanilla game with my terrific computer skills and just watch your playthrough :-| Eyy and I have just wanted to do a little exploring, since it is Saturday and you have been so efficient :-) helping me yesterday finish my huge project with your Morrowind Chill... But well, I believe I just need to take a slow walk from Sayda Neen to Balmora, with no Aura it will be a sad day :-( well..
@KasiaSzatkowska Sorry to hear that. It just needs Tamriel Data file which is a separate download. And needs to be put in Morrowind data folder. Then just download Tamriel Rebuilt and again put in data folder. I do all modding manually because I'm not so good with mod organizer. I am working on a new Skyrim video right now but after that I'll make a Morrowind modlist video with tutorial.
@@boreanknight You do not use mod organizer?! So how do you get Aura to be working?... I am sorry, I should not bother you with such stupid questions :-) I would probably mess up totally even with tutorials :-) Computer messing up is my special ability like I am an x-man :-D I probably could destroy any computer just by sitting next to it :-D Oh I am very much looking forward to Skyrim video! I enjoyed the silent walk through Skyrim SO MUCH!
@@KasiaSzatkowska Yep all manually! I just drag and drop everything to data folder. This is why I didn't do modding tutorial, because I really don't do it properly but it works for me. So in case of AURA I just open "Core" folder and put into Morrowind data folder. And in the end sort it all out with plox and generate distant land with mgexe.
Are you using a premade mod list? Or are you doing things the old fashioned way? It's pretty. I ask because if you are using a mod list, I would love to run it myself.
@disgruntleddude Old fashioned way, just adding mods one by one. I slightly expanded the modlist so I'll make a video about it soon.
@@boreanknight Thank you!
Actually I really enjoyed the visit to the Vvardenfell> i do very much like the vanilla game. However you make me wish I could take a look at the mainland myself.. Not gonna happen, however. So I really like this sneaky peak through your eyes :-) Thank you :-)
0:13 No. Never happened.
Lmao, nevuh evuh, cave scury
Hi there. I watch your videos as a "company" for my work, I find you playthroughs are GREAT companion for my work (I need to concentrate on visuals, but I can listen to you and occasionally take a look at whatever you are doing, to rest my eyes from my work). So I understand why someone would not like to look at say 3 hour straight someone else have fun, but for me, as I have very little time to play myself, I find it a very welcome visit to Morrowind nonetheless. So thank you this :-) And as for other things: I was wondering what nationality you are, since your accent is a little funny (pronouncing v like w:-)) and at first I thought you were Scandinavian (they tend to pronounce v like this as well), than I thought you were Belorussian because of your gentle character (and some remarks about animals, like about this eaten horse, I love animals and horses in particular and I swear I would kill the bastards myself!!) but now I hear you are a Serb living in Hong Kong! What adventures you must have had :-) I would love to listen about those too, not only about the games :-) I hear you have not been well, but it is getting better now and I wish you get back to full health soon. I do not like mods since I prefer to experience the "canon lore", but I just like your commentaries and you gentle, calm voice, so Tamriel Rebuilt, vanilla, Skyrim, whatever - does not matter. Thank you for a little bit or Vardenfell misty sunshine on my desk :-) Thank you and best wishes!
Thank you so much for your wonderful kind comment! Yep I'm a Serb living in Hong Kong but my accent is all over the place because I learned english as a child through TV. I'd love to share my story one day, I actually planned another channel for non-gaming, personal talks, including my battle with cancer. And speaking of Elder Scrolls, I can't wait to start a new Morrowind let's play, just to sit down and explore my favorite game again :) I miss that, but now I wait for the release of Anvil, hopefully this or next month. Cheers and thank you once again!
@@boreanknight If you do make an another channel, I would love to listen to your story! I hope you do :-) I do not even know what Anvil is :-D I mean I know w city in Oblivion, but I am so not into mods... Actually, I need to tell you this, because of your modlist video I decided to install a bunch, like Aura and some extended graphics and now I just love how it looks and feels, so I just wanted to say thank you. I cannot get Beautiful cities, somethings crushes on me, but never mind. Aura and other basics are just wonderful, thank you so much! You actually play quite differently than I do, I am never with Imperial Cult or the Legion, in Skyrim I go with the Stormcloacs, and in Morrowind I am a Morag Tong assassin with the Temple ;-D but still, as I said, I love to have your video on as a company. As for a self-TV-learner your English is fab!! Thank you again and best wishes for you and your family.
@@KasiaSzatkowska With the Beautiful Cities I just use "00 Core" but make sure to have "OAAB Data" and "Tamriel Data" before that, they are required. Anvil is an upcoming mod from "Province Cyrodiil" team. Goal is to make entire Cyrodiil and first release will cover the city of Anvil and that whole region. It's same like Tamriel Rebuilt, but instead of making Morrowind it's Cyrodiil. Should be out in few weeks. And after that Tamriel Rebuilt will release "Grasping Fortune" which will be massive. So exciting!
@@boreanknight Yeah I know, I tried to follow your advice from you "Modlist" video, and actually I think it is OAAB that crushes something, not Beautiful Cities itself. But its ok. I could probably mod myself, if I only had time :-) And remaking Anvil and Golden Coast in TES III engine? Interesting. I am very much looking forward to you showing it to us :-)
I always use the unique armor mod and Stendarr’s beacon mod that gives them crusader and paladin armors and turns the Stendarr’s beacon onto a fortress monastery
this was a truly interesting video and insightful into Dunmer culture
We actually know a lot more of Aryon's intentions from that quest where you have to send a coded message to Divayth Fyr. Decoded the message reads as thus: >To the esteemed Divayth Fyr, >I will be blunt: I need an ally. The traditionalists and crazies have joined together against me. If something is not done, their short sightedness [sic] may bring house Telvanni to more direct conflict with Redoran, Indoril, Hlaalu and even the Empire! Surely you can predict the Empire's collapse as well as I... We should work together to save our house. You could claim a position on the council by merly [sic] asking. Even Gothren and Neloth must admit that you are older and wiser and in every way superior to them in the arcane arts. >Your honored student, Master Aryon
Checking out parts of this series to see your take on some of my favorite bits of Tamriel Rebuilt, in this case I wanted to see you get Unending, my favorite Axe, and I caught your discussion about opening locks. My current character is a Nord with the class Viking. Majors: Axe, Athletics, Acrobatics, Block, Heavy Armor Minors: Armorer, Short Blade, Restoration, Speechcraft, Hand to Hand I deal with locks using another mod I installed that allows me to bash them open. This damages my weapon and forces me to take the hit if they're trapped, but it feels very appropriate for my RP. A big Nord with a big Axe smashing through locks instead of using magic or little dainty picks. Since I have armorer the weapon damage isnt a big deal but if I'm low on, or out of, hammers I can also use otherwise unwanted loot weapons for lock bashing. Some other cool mods to add to your experience are Ashfall, Ultimate Fishing, the Joy of Painting, and Poison Crafting. The Lock Bashing mod is just called Lock Bashing and its on Nexus uploaded by Greatness7. I hope you give it and the others a chance, they really add to the immersion of the game. For example with Poison Crafting one of my other characters, a Bosmer Asssassin uses poisoned throwing darts to take down his enemies. Poison Crafting adds the option to brew potions or poisons when interacting with alchemy equipment and also lets all forms of potions/poisons/drinks be applied to weapons inflicting their effects on strike. This is typically one use each though I have found that throwing weapons and arrows retain their poison if you get lucky and recover them from dead enemies. Another cool mod is Stormrider which adds a ship you can own, sail around, fast travel with, and live on. It has the cabin up top and 2 decks below. I added a stove to my mid deck and use it to cook food such as the fish I catch with Ultimate Fishing. Not for every character but a fun option if it suits your RP. So many good mods out there to use. P.S. you should uncap your stats with MCP
Hi! Unending pretty much carried me through for the rest of this game. It's so OP. I even made a video about that whole quest - A Champion Lost. I'll check the mods, I actually wanted to include Joy of Painting, so thanks for reminding me. I'm currently preparing for a new let's play, just waiting for the release of Anvil and Grasping Fortune.
@@boreanknight It's truly a great axe. I think it's unusual scripted "enchantment" and the high minimum damage outweigh the higher maximum damage of other axes. It also looks really good with the Nordic Mail Heavy Armor set and it's weight is very reasonable. If you get Joy of Painting you should seriously consider pairing it with Ashfall and Ultimate Fishing. All three are made by the same author and they're fully compatible and integrated with each other. For example you can craft a variety of painting supplies in Ashfall's crafting system such as wood painting frames, easels, and pigments from wild ingredients. Additionally campfires produce charcoal when destroyed which can then be used for charcoal sketches. I also think that Ashfalls survival and camping elements would benefit your pacing and approach to the game. In other videos you've expressed your love of exploring the wilderness and camping gives you a reason to spend more time there, as does fishing. Poison Crafting is also really nice because it provides a use for all of the otherwise pointless negative effect ingredients/potions out there. Alchemy merchants routinely sell potions with damage health/fatigue/magicka effects and alike. If all we can do is drink them then why bother having them at all? Oh and if you get Stormrider, the ship mod, look for the version that upgrades it to include Tamriel Rebuilt. I was not aware of that version when I installed it and while my ship still works with Tamriel Rebuilt I imagine the upgraded one includes more fast travel options for TR ports which would be far more convenient than the limited base game port options I have, especially since actually sailing the ship, while fun, can be a bit buggy and necessitates familiarizing yourself with troubleshooting options. Furthermore there are parts of map that were clearly not designed for actually sailing a ship with impassable amounts of rocks.
Morrowind is simply better than the other games. Not that they are bad, just not as good. Furthermore Tamriel Rebuilt is better than the base game, and Skyrim Home of the Nords, as well as Province Cyrodiil, are done by the same mod team from Tamriel Rebuilt.
