Einfach nur traumhaft schön.

This is the piece that introduced me to classical music. In my late teens early twenties I was an arcitectural metal worker and my company was contracted to The Royal Albert Hall. One day I was there repairing the metal railing that runs behind the balcony seats when a young man came in from the Royal Colledge of Organists which used to be next door. He practiced this piece. I was enthralled, the sound of that organ was stunning, the bass notes making the tools in my tool bag rattle. The job that should have taken me two hours actually took nearly all day because I had to keep stopping to listen. That was nearly fifty years ago and my love of classical music is just as strong, especiall for this piece.

Chere Anne-Isabelle, This rolled back the years for me. When I played the organ for my first church service at the age of 14, I played this piece as the final voluntary. (I had not started taking organ lessons at that time.) It was very well received, even by an elderly lady who was a fine pianist! You always play with such feeling and care, as shown in this lovely video

I really admire Your capability to interpret music from a great variety of periods on organs of very different periods with different ideas of how an organ should sound. If I understand properly, a Tierce is a Cornet. Makes things complicated. What would a Terz be called in French?

O so lovely. What an amazing old console (esp pedals) - juxtaposed with the slightly less aged organist😂. A totally new piece for me too. Belle organiste, ta musique envoûtante illumine nos âmes et emplit nos cœurs de bonheur.

C'est magnifique, au point de me rappeler l'Art poétique de Verlaine: un jeu plus vague et plus soluble dans l'air sans rien en lui qui pèse ou qui pose.

The overtones in the treble are hilarious. Way ahead of its time.

Another wonderful performance, chere Anne-Isabelle. I played this piece as a final voluntary a few weeks ago and it's lovely to hear it played by someone else, especially when it's played so well. (Do you play Guilmant 4? I always enjoy playing the first movement of that!)
