I use as a guide when cutting studs that are too long to fit in my miter saw station. I'm limited to 60" on my station as I have a 10' room. Unfortunately I have a kobalt cordless circular saw and the motor base hits the lip on the square and picks up when cutting across. My corded Metabo doesn't do this. Maybe I need to adjust my height for my blade will check at home.
