I am a software developer, based in Edinburgh who loves birds and plants.
I am here to share my knowledge and experience in web development, and also funny moments with my birb fren Drakarys. Sometimes I also make vlogs about my life in Scotland as an expat, so stay tuned if you are curious!

The Truth About AI Powered Programming
Does AI make you a bad programmer? Is it true that you loose your skills when you use all these fancy ai models for your work? Is it a shame to use ai for coding ? Or is it the opposite - you’re missing out if you don’t? In this video I will try to figure it out.
I came across one article that provoked mixed feeling in me - slopwatch.com/posts/bad-programmer/ . The title of the article is - Using AI Generated Code Will Make You a Bad Programmer.
And it is not a question, it is a statement.
And while the part of me agrees with some of ideas in that article, I still disagree with the general tone of this article - making it sound that AI is some kind of plague in the software engineering world.

If you are watching this video, you probably want to sell your AI images. But there is one very important thing you need to do, before you do this. You always should do it when you decide to use certain model for your generations. In order to comply with the copyright law, you need to check your model’s licence! If you don’t do that, and use the model that does not allow commercial use of the ou...

Over the past few days, there’s been some exciting news in the generative AI world. First - Black forest lab released new model, Flux 1.1 and they claim that it is faster and better than all the competitors such as midjourney, dalle and others. Unfortunately this model is not open source and you have to pay , but you can have a sneak peak and generate couple of images on their website - they gi...
Generate AI Art That SELLS in 2024? AI realism EASY!

If you want to sell your AI images on stocks, you probably asked yourself - how to generate the pictures that would SELL? If you already know how to generate amazing landscapes, fantasy creatures and hot manga characters, but that’s not something that is really in demand on photo stocks. You need something more generic, like images of people in different settings, subject on isolated background...

ridiculously confusing must be better way
In my opinion, using AI code is fine, but only if we understand it well and can verify how it works.
Agree 100%!
Thank you
The Bird is cute.
Cool video! I didnt have the time to watch all the way to the end, but I did subsribe. ❤
Ahh yes. Just check if the model is commercial to use. Who cares if it was trained to random artist’s artwork scraped from sites like twitter 🎉
oh! ai used unethically 🥰
Doesn't work at all.
Is it even safe?
Nice, although, as it has been pointed out by other users, the colab sheet is deprecated (October, 2024)
AI "art" isn't art. It requires virtually no skill to do, steals from other people's art, and is a general insult to people who spend hours of time and effort working on real art. Having the audacity to sell something you didn't create is plagiarism and VERY scammy. Please find ways to monetize your passions that you genuinely spend time and effort on.
I get it-change is uncomfortable. People who say AI doesn’t require skills might eventually get left behind because they’re not adapting to those new skills… Like any technology, AI can be used for good or bad purposes, but blaming the tool itself isn’t going to stop its evolution.
This is so important! Have any of you gotten caught using an AI model with the wrong license?
Haha no, not yet, I was a a good girl so far :D
AI art is theft. Period.
Changes brought about by technological progress have always faced opposition, but alas, it cannot be stopped.
It already broke.
Good teacher
Excellent presentation, thank you for the update... 😊
Thanks 🙏 glad it was helpful!
Thanks a lot for the detailed overview of the latest developments in generative AI. The ability to edit videos using text prompts is especially impressive. This opens up endless possibilities for creating unique content.
Thank you! I think it’s important to stay up to date with all these changes in ai, knowing it can help with a lot with the work or day to day stuff 💪

Thank you! Sure we can do that, it’s not so complicated as it looks !

Hello👋
Thanks for the video! I've tried to transfer funds to my IB account from Revolut. Revolut holds my transaction as a suspicious one and does not allow it without a security review.
I needed to put the call to the other peers inside a timeout to get this to work. Not quite sure why... setTimeout(() => { const call = me.call(peerId, stream, {}); console.log(`called user ${peerId}`); call.on("stream", (peerStream) => { console.log(`got peer steam`); dispatch(addPeerAction(peerId, peerStream)); }); }, 3000)
Thanks for the tutorial!
LETS MAKE PORN
for those that the call functionally didn't work and the peer is not added use what @vergil_389 commented, here is the reference ws.on("user-joined", ({ peerId }) => { setTimeout(()=>{ const call = me.call(peerId, stream); // here we initiate the call call.on("stream", (peerStream) => { dispatch(addPeerAction(peerId, peerStream)); }); },1000); }); one thing i noticed is it also works without the setTimeout if we remove/comment out the <React.StrictMode> part in main.tsx if you created the react app with vite or in index.tsx if with CRA, but that is not recommanded and also if this strictmode is there when the first user creates and joins the room, the join event is created twice and making the join twice, you can see it on the server terminal and to fix it you can use this in Room.tsx const { id } = useParams(); const emittedEvent = useRef(false); const { me, ws, stream, peers } = useContext(RoomContext); useEffect(() => { if (me && !emittedEvent.current) { ws.emit("join-room", { roomId: id, peerId: me._id }); emittedEvent.current = true; } // if(me) ws.emit("join-room", { roomId: id, peerId: me._id }); }, [me, id, ws]); return ( <div> Room id {id} <div className="grid grid-cols-4 gap-4"> <VideoPlayer stream={stream} /> {Object.entries(peers as PeerState).map((peer) => ( <VideoPlayer key={peer[0]} stream={peer[1].stream} /> ))} </div> </div> );
Why should we always use the code checkout? What does it do exactly?
unfortunately the amount of free use of colab is so minimal today that even if you have success of running this process ( i had ) it will cancel and ask you for money.
Hi. Is it possible to withdraw in USD to Revolut?
This was useless to me. I want to do this on my computer, not in a cloud service.
Hi, have you found a way to do it locally on computer?
cant buy US etfs from singapore , anyone knows why , can only configure my account to buy non US for some reason ?
In Android & IOS which alternative library for peerJS ?
What if a SSL certificate is expired?
Probably you don´t know it but is really funny that you choose a parrot to train a Lora wich in Spanish is called Loro, :-) Nice tutorial !!!
Completely useful, thanks for the content!
Well explained, thank you!
How about default AWS Resources like DHCP, igw? will they still remain or get deleted? Good video.
Nicely explained 👍

What stable diffusion interface are you using ?
Good tip
I found another way of implementing it. To decrease the complexity you can configure your peerjs server on the same server where you main backend and websocket server works. ```import { ExpressPeerServer } from "peer"; import http from "http"; import express from "express"; class PeerJs { public PeerJsServer; constructor(public server: http.Server) { this.PeerJsServer = ExpressPeerServer(server); this.PeerJsServer.on("connection", (client) => { console.log(`Client connected: ${client.getId()}`); }); this.PeerJsServer.on("disconnect", (client) => { console.log(`Client disconnected: ${client.getId()}`); }); } public intializePeerJsServerOnPath(app: express.Application, path: string) { if (!app) return; app.use(path, this.PeerJsServer); } } export default PeerJs;``` this is the peerJs class I made. Create an instance of this class in your app.js like this:- ``` const PeerJsServer = new PeerJs(this.server); // create instance to initialize peerjs server PeerJsServer.intializePeerJsServerOnPath(this.app, this.peerJsServerPath);``` Hope this works
pleace folks do let me know if this is the correct way
Great tutorial
