This is true. There’s lots of successful software devs who either never attended uni or dropped out

Just apply for it and add your projects as a reference 😇 preferably so they can see it in action, not just GitHub repos :)

There are people in my org that definitely seem like they spend 90% of their time sitting around. They can’t fix the most basic hardware issues and I end up fixing problems myself. I WISH I could have the mindset that this is all easy to get into so I can get the jobs these losers have! But my own personal code keeps me from applying for jobs I _feel_ I’m not qualified for (even though I probably am, compared to the next guy). I once went into Reddits for graphic designers and there were SO many people who couldn’t draw a straight line with a ruler asking how to become a graphic designer. Fuck me. I thought - if you don’t have a passion for it - forget it. But then another part of me kind of knows that - you know what - THESE are the people who are getting those jobs - who have fuckall qualifications - AND THEY WILL GET THE JOB because they have either better cleavage than me or they’re just better “people persons” (yes, I _am_ an asshole). So I do not look down on people with zero skillset. They have been proving me wrong all the time.
