Change Rear Brake Discs - Remove Handbrake Calliper Aston Martin V8 Vantage 2006
This is a quick guide to removing the rear handbrake calliper on an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. After deciding to replace the discs on my V8V I thought I'd sare this tip to make the job a little easier. There no need to remove the whole handbrake calliper, which saves worry what to do with the cables, and how to get the pads over a lipped disc. Split the calliper to be able to remove the disc and save a lot of time. Have a look to see the process, its very straight forward. I am far from a professional, but feel free to comment constructively or ask any questions. Thanks for watching.

    Hi. I was wondering if can you help me. I have a problem with my Dumborc x6 transmitter. On channel 4 I have a winch motor, and when I turn off the transmitter (ch4 button is in the neutral position) my winch motor turns on and I can turn it off, only if I unplug the receiver form the power. I have done some research online, and it seems to me that there is a failsafe on ch4 that activates when I turn the transmitter off, buy that failsafe is not setup to be in neutral position. Do you know how could I solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

    how do you store the makita? the manual is a bit confusing, not sure why i cant fold it and leave it laying on the floor.. also it says to emply the tank and lines after use, which seems like horrible practice imo. components will dry out..

      Hi, I actually fold the blade over and store it horizontally on the garage floor or hooked up horizontally on the wall out of the way over winter. I don’t specifically drain the tank for longer term storage, but it often ends up that I run it out of fuel on the last cut of the year. I’ve had it a few years now and no issues, still starts really well. Not sure if that is best practice, but it been fine for me.

    After connecting 2 motors to 2 ESCs, without knowing to remove the red wire on one side of the BEC, I connected them together to the servo controller of 1 and tested the operation for about 30 minutes?? So, only one motor worked, the other motors operated randomly, and in the end, the ESC on the motor side, which was working well, was damaged and did not work at all. When I went to TH-cam, I saw a video about removing one BEC. I removed the ESCs one by one, reset them, and tested them. Of the two ESCs, only the motor side, which had been malfunctioning uncontrollably, works. When I turn on the power, the motor makes the same beeping sound that it made before starting, but even when I move the throttle, it works. The motor doesn't move at all. Is there no way to save it??

    Thanks for this article. It's the only one I found that made sense of the contradictory reports about whether bleach works. Some people insist it does and others that it doesn't, but they don't specify what sort of bleach it is. I actually used a commercial mould-specific product (Cillit Bang) but chose it on the basis that it contained a chlorinated bleach as did the only bleach that worked for you. It's also spray-on, easier to apply on my ceiling than the liquid Domestos. It worked very well even just sprayed on an artex (textured paint) ceiling, failing only on some deep pockets in the silicone sealant at the bath edge. I will attack those with a toothbush but I wasn't looking forward to doing the ceiling that way. I dripped some on a cotton bathmat and it bleached that, too, but it didn't harm anything else (including my hands, my sweater,even wallpaper). A small price to pay, I thought! I treated the areas in a lot of small pieces and washed my hands after each one to minimise exposure. It remains to be seen whether it will stay clean. Maybe some of the other products kill the spores but don't whiten the surface.

      Hi, thanks for the comment, I’ve found various videos claiming the vinegar was the best thing for mould and other products, but after testing it seems that the chlorine element is really the only effective solution. heyy... Great video, it's really hard to find videos that explain how these receivers work. I'm making an electric go-cart as a project and was wondering if i could connect this receiver to something that powerful (500w-1000w). The usual throttles that are used to control the go-cart take a similar input of 6v so i thought this could work. They also have one negative, one positive and one control wire and output 0.8 to 5.3 v (no throttle to full throttle). Can you measure the voltage output range of the receiver? connect the negative pin of the receiver to the negative of the multimeter and the control pin to the positive of the multimeter and test voltage range with no throttle and full throttle. This would help me out a lottttt!!!! Hope you read this.

    I'm going to be doing this soon so was hoping for the usual TH-cam step by step guide. I like your idea for splitting the caliper but I'm surprised there are not more comments on doing this, either good or bad. Was the inner face of your disc badly corroded by any chance?

    • @randomdadstuff1777
      @randomdadstuff1777 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, actually the discs didn’t look too bad on the inner face, but were changed as they were slightly warped. It was a lot easier splitting the calliper, if the disc has a slight lip, it’s really difficult to get the pads past the lip of the disc without damaging the pads.

      Hi, have you tried to test with the battery connected directly to the receiver unit without the ESC, do you get a light on the receiver? With the battery connected directly you should be able to pair the transmitter and then use a multi-meter to test for a change in voltage on the signal pin in the receiver, like in the video. This should confirm if the transmitter/receiver pair are working.

      @@albe013 thanks for the reply! I'm a Husky fan myself but like the Idea of the 4 stroke Makita. I actually invested in Ego battery stuff a year ago and was happy at first but have had a lot of battery and charger failures which has annoyed me.

    My receiver works fine, well, lights and the stuff connected come on. The problem is the controller stopped working on its own within seconds. The blue light doesnt come on, seems the problem is inside the controller itself. Might that be there are some wires that came off inside the controller unit itself?
