Welcome to More Better Restorations!
I enjoy finding rusted, tarnished, and broken projects and bringing them back to life in my workshop. I realized others may want to see my projects as well so I created this channel for you!
I particularly enjoy sandblasting. Seeing rust and paint being removed effortlessly can be relaxing. So much so I have a second channel for just blasting videos:

RUSTED Pipe Wrench Restoration - Can this rusty old tool be saved?
Hiding under the seat of my old International truck was this rusty antique C&NW wrench. This adjustable wrench was old and rusted all over. I'm not sure on how old it really is as I couldn't find much info about it. I took it all apart and removed the rust using a wire brush and then Evapo-rust. I filed down all the casting seems and gave it a round in the media blast machine to give it an even texture. I found remnants of orange paint so I replicated that on the handle when I painted it. I polished the sides until they were as shiny as I could get them and then blued the remaining steel. Instead of going back with a steel rivet I used a modern bolt I cut down and re-threaded along with a brass acorn nut for looks. I hope you enjoyed this restoration. If you did subscribe for more and be sure to leave me a comment on what you think!!!

DEFENSE BOMBER Restoration - Can This Wyandotte Be Saved ???
มุมมอง 7313 ปีที่แล้ว
I didn’t know if I could save this Wyandotte Defense Bomber. After disassembly I stripped all the paint off using chemical stripper and sandblasted the metal clean. I had to make new tail fins and pillars by hand. The tail fines were cut out using snips and welded back on. The propellers were cut, filed, and sanded it into shape. All pits were filled with JB Weld and sanded smooth. The wooden b...
TRASHED TONKA TRASH TRUCK RESTORED
มุมมอง 3733 ปีที่แล้ว
Reuploaded to fix sound issues In today's video I restore this tiny Tonka garbage truck. At first glance the truck may look in pretty good condition, but it not. The drivers side came in contact with some kind of harsh chemical. It turned the dark blue paint purple, wrinkled the white paint on the bed, and rust had taken hold on the bare metal and left many pits. The windshield had several deep...
Abandoned Tonka JEEP Restoration - I Almost Messed It Up!
มุมมอง 6453 ปีที่แล้ว
*Reuploaded to fix a couple issues* I found this Tonka Dune Buggy and knew it deserved a restoration. I stripped the whole truck down to it's major pieces and sand blasted all the old paint and rust away from the body. There was a nice dent in the back so I hammered it back straight. I filled all the pits and powered coated it the wrong color yellow! Realizing my mistake I sanded the yellow pow...
Restoring A Broken Tonka Fire Truck - Part II
มุมมอง 6183 ปีที่แล้ว
Part two of the tiny, rusty and forgotten Tonka fire truck restoration. Today I build the ladders and the racks to attach them to the body. The original plastic ladders and tabs were long gone. I fill and sand the body down along with the windshield. The ducks refused to help again, they just want to swim all day. The body was painted bright red as a fire truck should be. The plastics had yello...
Restoring A Broken Tonka Fire Truck - Part I
มุมมอง 5683 ปีที่แล้ว
Part One of Two! Today I tear apart and begin the restoration and custom work on this tiny, rusty and forgotten Tonka Fire truck. When I first purchased this tiny Tonka I didn't realize it was missing the ladders and that most of the tabs that held them on were broken. What I thought would be an easy straight forward restoration turned into a custom fire truck as I build new ladders and sorted ...
Restoring An Old Toy Plane
มุมมอง 5K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello subscribers and new friends! I was browsing Ebay looking at sad rusty toys and I found this 1940's Marx P-35 toy plane. It's poor condition and missing parts meant there wasn't much interest in it. I felt sad for it so I bought it to restore. I pulled it all apart, sandblasted, filled, sanded, and powder coated it. The original color was a grey and blue but I used chrome powder on the fus...
CREEPY Piggy Bank RESTORATION | Doesn’t Go As Planned [4]
มุมมอง 17K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I found this piggy bank while browsing eBay and it was so disturbing I knew I had to restore it. I think it’s a reproduction as the gaps are wide, the details are poor and the fastener seems modern but that’s OK, I think it’s much improved! I couldn’t do anything about the creepiness though..... I wanted to save the original letters on the sign but they were either nonexistent or miss formed. I...
Restoring A Tonka Jeepster Truck
มุมมอง 14K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Be sure to like and subscribe for more videos! In this episode I restore a Tonka Jeepster! I finally got my powder coating working and used it for the first time. In ignorance I thought powder coating would hide imperfections better than paint. I learned that isn't true and for my next restore I will be using lab metal to fill any pits. I used a bleaching creme on the yellowed plastics. It work...
Battered Hubley Stake Truck, Literally Falling Apart! Antique toy restoration [2]
มุมมอง 10K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I found this battered Hubley stake truck (model 460) toy for sale on Ebay. Much of the paint was gone with age and two of the wheels were so badly worn they fell off the axle; the toy was literally falling apart! The stake bed; which I believe is nickle plated steel, had dulled. After tearing it down I gave it a sandblasting and painted the body back to orange as it originally came. I added cre...
RESTORATION - Mobile Oil Tanker Truck, My First Restore!
มุมมอง 10K4 ปีที่แล้ว
My first youtube restoration; a unique TootsieToy Mobile Oil Tanker Truck! The Model Mack truck was well worn, showing it's age with missing paint and bent axles . After a complete disassembly, the body was media blasted and repainted using Rustoleum Sunrise Red and Metallic Chrome paint for a bright paint job. Normally I would use primer but I didn't want to loose the details of the body with ...
