My Ellie is 1yr 10 months has a liver enzyme of 220 up from 190 6 months ago. I just started to give her 100 ml a day per veterinary. She is a Chorkie ( yorkshire / Chihuahua and weighs 16 lbs. She needs to loose weight. I have fed all three of my dogs, small, medium and large breeds homemade food and a little kibble. The vet told me that Ellie needed to be on a low protein diet and I am completely at a loss how to do that. I was told to do Hill science diet canned food and I read the ingredients and that was an absolute NO. SO I WOULD BE GRATEFUL if you would recommend a recipe.

oddly enough my dog is neutered and gets along well with intact males. a lot of it was training and teaching him what was and was not acceptable when meeting other dogs.

i use discernment before entering but i dont go often. im grateful that where I live the city does very well with the upkeep of their parks especially the dog parks. if there is a huge size difference, owners not paying attention, kids are there, my dog sees a dog he doesn't seem to like, dogs being too out of control then I jus dont go in and leave if im already in the park. im glad though that not many people go there though making it a great place for an owner and their dog(s) to play off leash and do recall training.

i lucked out so far with my free to a good home puppy. i got him at 8 weeks old and I had a senior labrador at the time. she was very good at teaching him how to be a well behaved dog. I also had a friend whose pit had given birth the same day my pup was born so they played with him a lot. I was also a rover sitter so after he was cleared by the vet I restarted boarding at my house. a lot of those dogs also helped my now 4yr old dog. heck one of his best friends is a large intact male pit.

Ali, you really should try the sous vide cook. You can select a much lower temperature and it saves time at the stove!

I have an intact male and a 6 month intact female. I have a 2 month long wait for lost cost spaying. I was gonna leave her intact but I have a lot going on and I know at some point she'll get pregnant. I don't plan on breeding her. I have so much mixed info on that they can get cancer without spay or that can have joint problems later in life with spay. Hard to know what to do.

We are in a delema as we are looking to get her half brother a vasectomy but are concerned about trying to keep them separated during her heat. My six year old male Yorkie was just diagnosed with Hepactic Microvascular Dysplacia. He's a normal seven pound dynamo who was currently getting Nulo small breed as his main diet. The Vet prescribed a prescription diet and said my little buddy must eat hydrolyzed foods for the rest of his life. Currently, there are only three brands of hydrolyzed foods on the market. Royal Canin HP, Purina ProPlan HA, and Science Hill Z/D are the three choices she gave me to choose from. The Vet sent me home with a can of Royal Canin HP wet food to see if he likes it. He will not eat it. I mixed it with his normal food and he deliberately eats around the Royal Canin it to avoid eating it. My question is, are there any home made foods I can make that will keep my little Bruno healthy with his condition, or am I stuck choosing from these three brands? I am about to order the Sciene Hill Z/D dry food to see if he will eat it. But at $69.00 for a seven pound bag or $69.00 for twenty four 5.5oz cans of wet food can get really expensive if he doesn't eat it and I have to keep ordering each brand to find the one he will eat. Are there any alternatives, or am I stuck with these three choices of food for my little Bruno?

My little kitteh just had a surgery where they changed his anatomy and he now pees through a new hole in his bellybutton and will cause permanent leaking. Obviously cats are not dogs so this might not work as well on them.

My shihtzu is 4 years and has liver problem, her ALT is 237, normal is up to 125. She is 4.3 kilos. Her food is always a mixed of veggies, liver and chicken, and eggs. Is it alright? Hoping for your suggestion. Appreciate your help 🙏
