They say that the pikepro gear is very good mate,I haven't tried these but have got something similar Carl,can't think who's they are but had em years mate and they do the job rite mate,like you say may as well stop at home till snows gone and then there will be the snowmelt chill in the water so can't be much coming soon eh mate. I don’t know why but I get great success on dead reds, I bait and them on in what I call a bom - bunch of maggots 🤣 seems to discourage the little ones. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed Carl. Oh I fish them method feeder style using the smallest Preston ice feeders with micro pellets. Tight lines mate and keep it up. One day you’ll catch up to my 48 years on the bank. (Not long compared to some) 👴🏻

Hi Carl, Yellow maggots work well IMO, but the only way to get them where I live is to buy "Mixed". We can't get All yellows around here (Leeds) Maybe get Whites and use Yellow "Sensate" powder then ?

I am looking for a set of pliers to go with my Preston Rig Station and having watched your review I have decided that as much as I like the look and the price of the Guru Pliers I think I will go for the Preston Pliers. I think the Preston Pliers win it for me for a few reasons. Firstly because they are lighter in weight, Secondly because you can close them shut and because the Spring is enclosed and thirdly because the cutter in the Preston pliers are far better that the Guru cutter. Lastly I think they will fit better in the Preston Rig Station than the Guru Pliers will. Thanks for the your great review, it was very helpful in helping me decide which pliers to purchase.

I'd rather watch a video where the person has tried and tried but has had no luck etc... than some grinning bafoon who catches fish after fish after fish but comes across as nothing more than look at me ,ain't I great. We can all take something away from blank sessions and learn 👍👍👍

Appreciate all your efforts Carl, makes me feel better that not everyone goes out and bags up this time of year as I spend plenty of time ‘going for a nice walk’ carrying a rod as the fish chose to have a bit of time off over the Christmas break. As quickly as winter came the spring will be here and we can all look forward to a few more fish filled videos. Keep up the good work.

I have one for 1 and a half year , and yes , it is a simple and elegant solution to fish like a gentleman . As for the umbrella case , you have to ..... forget about - a gust of wind will conscientiously stir the contents of your tray , due to an unstable ... stability...You can create shade or rain protection with something that is not in contact with the chair.With that being said , keep those lines tight

Got a tub of these mate somewhere, Think there the minis not sure, Three different flavours, Not been fishing for awhile (etc) But had some good results on them mate, They are good.

To small for general course use im having a mare at the moment finding the perfect tackle box. I like to keep all my terminal tackle swimfeeders in one box & have certain bits to hand in my box drawer & useing a lure box at the moment to put all my bits n bobs

Looks ok Carl but I think it's over priced mate,you can go in places like BM and get plenty of different size boxes,it's what they call Carp Tax eh mate,happy new year mate

Great reel.I have caught some strong fish in salt water.

I think that this would be ok as a box for absolute essentials whilst mobile, stalking etc. But it’s too basic as a primary box. The rig board doesn’t hold enough, and the box doesn’t have enough space. For me, the Korda rig safe (large/long) and the Fox Edges are necessary. If you want a cheaper version of this Korda Basix, get the NGT XPR (better, and half the price).

Hi Carl, I have 2 "Korum" (not Korda) Green canvas fishing bags. Both came with tackle boxes, one of which also came with a Tackle box And 2 Bait boxes stored in the bottom zipped compartment. Bags were about £38 or £40 apiece at that time from Tackle2U, who now only have a shop in Bradford, if you fancy a mooch round there ? Also do some good prices "Online" !! Nice blokes in the Shop (all Anglers), & good for a couple of Quid Off !!

Maybe make a post about packaging, that can make manufacturers rethink their plastic packaging usage. Korda and Guru are terrible for using a ton of plastic packaging Buy 10 items from Korda, guru and you have a lot of plastic that just goes in the bin. -- I like Korda and Guru (and Preston) but the packaging annoys me

look at the nd tackle box. I have korum fully loaded but moved over to the nd tacklbox as everything in it is magnetic and you customise it to what ever situation you need.

Don't like the guru ones at all, lost multiple fish to the hook length just slipping off, was properly assembled but the fish went in a direction that they couldnt protect against
