It's the old galaxy /shakespeare box we had back in the 80's but we fitted octoplus legs to the and the tackle box that sits inside under the seat
Plus back in the day you could buy bait waiters that fit in the slots for the trays and also adjustable pole balling in hooks they were that popular back in the 80's nearly everyone I knew had one
Hi Carl, them diawa boxes are great for those on a budget or are just getting into fishing bcoz of their price and like the Shakespeare version will last a very long time if looked after. I had the Shakespeare version which I brought 30 years ago and it was as sturdy when I sold it a year ago as it was when I first brought it but I did add a leg system from octopus when I first got it along with other attachments which made it like a modern seatbox. Oh and the slots in the front for a side tray go back to the early days when carp anglers used the boxes to put an extra side tray on when they went fishing
They sure are good for them quick sessions and like you said very much like the Shakespeare boxes I like it just as much as my other Seatbox if not a bit more just because of how easy it is to move around and the storage space is fantastic 👍🏻
Hi Carl I've watched a few of your videos and enjoyed them mate keep up the good work . I used to own one of these boxes for years and they do last and like you said they are lightweight and especially for short sessions they are brilliant. I did in the end sell mine mainly because there not so good on uneven ground which a few places I go are. I now and two chairs. The korum s23 compact chair and the slightly bigger s23 Accessory chair and I love them cus there's so many attachments for them and with telescopic legs that I bought separately there great for uneven ground. Having saying all this I do actually miss the box as you can literally put everything you need in the box.
@@martinhassall7884 thank you mate really appreciate the support and yeah that is the only thing like you said if you go somewhere with uneven ground you would have to use a different box or chair, brilliant for most commercials with wooden platforms
Iv still got the shakespeare inner accessory box that fits on the inner ledge / we all had one in the 1980 fantastic boxes
You're better spraying them in a little pot & picking them out as you need them

Great little video Carl, it looks a nice place to visit for a bit of fishing. Looking at the swims they look well maintained even if they are a bit close together at what looks about 6 meters apart. What other facilities do they have there for people to use

I love fishing the margins one of the first things I check when I get to my peg are the margins and plumb up on the flattest bottom in minimum 2ft of water. Caught some of my bigger fish down there after lunchtime.

Another great video mate, I love fishing the margins as I've had most of my best fishing in them both on pellet in the warmer months and on maggots and hemp in the colder months when the depth is 3 feet or more, in fact I had a carp to 19.5 lb on maggots and hemp in the margins in October a few years back. Keep the videos coming pal and I'll stay subscribed, tight lines 🎣🐟

Guru elbow support (large) and ideal item for those who suffer with elbow problems who like to fish. First time I've ever seen a tackle company do them as their the kind of item you usually get on the NHS for elbow problems

Nice one Carl, it's good to see someone like yourself doing these videos as you talk about stuff without all the sell that the tackle companies do. I agree with everything you said about when to use plastic connectors and when to use Dacron as they both have a time and place in fishing and I know that at times even the top anglers still use plastic connectors on their light elastic

Good video carl, nice to see someone doing videos like these giving your opinion on items of tackle. I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen landing net handles disintegrate where they have either been cheap and nasty or someone hasn't pulled a fish in right 👍🎣

Good review an interesting pole. Other reviews last year at launch said you had to drill out your own side pullers, has that changed now then?
Looks to have most pole these days come pre done so it saves all the messing
Got the 13m version Karl excellent, only thing they weren't fitted with pulla bungs m8👌💥
@@smickerflies they are really impressive and that’s strange as websites say that the 800 comes pre fitted with them
@@AnglerCarl Angling Direct said they come bushed and have extra wrapping to add a rolla puller so you need to drill them. It only comes with one generic carp top kit as well. Looks a nice pole and I like the livery, however for the same price you can get a edge monster, lighter, longer, spare top kit and both are bushed and have pulla guides fitted as standard. If Guru wants to compete they need to match that, not to mention it’s about 300g heavier.
