Very well-done video! A great mix of scenery, in-car views and tech info, and stories! Processing was excellent. I only wish I’d seen it closer to when you published it! I bought my August 2021 M3SR+ LFP just a few months after you bought yours, and, three years later I enjoy it as much as you did in this vid. My wife and I, both retired, took a 7,000-mile journey across much of the US (New Hampshire to Utah and back), and loved it! In October, we’ll embark on a more comprehensive trip all the way to Seattle, south to San Francisco, over to Salt Lake City, spend a lot of time in the SouthWest’s amazing national and state parks, then homeward from there: about 10,000 miles. 😄 As a fellow Tesla stockholder, I was saddened to see how high the stock was when you bought in to it-arrgh!😢 Here’s hoping that by mid-2025, it’ll rise once again.

Hi Rick, just found your page and realised the first video I watched was from 3 years ago. Interesting to see the outcome of the experiment, thanks for sharing and hopefullly TSLA will go up in the future! I had a question on what you thought about the hire purchase option, i run a limited company and profits mean that if I were to buy a EV then that would offset the cost price from my profit/corp tax bill resulting in a saving of 10k tax. Would you recommend this vs the lease or do you still think the lease is the best option? Any thoughts appreciated!

What do you think about Hire purchase vs the lease? Considering you would be able to claim the full cost back in year one from corp tax (25% corp tax payer) so this would reduce my initial corporation tax bill by 10k and then payments can be spread over time?

Road trips can be made by any car depending on time budget and ability. But I’ll stick with ice still for my trips onto the continent. I live up in the north lakes i do not need to fuel way past calie apx 900mils we tend to do on some trips well over 1000m to 1500m days but on are casual days translating 900-1000. And for that time is everything and waiting 40-50mins to charge would effect how we holiday and are enjoyment of taking side adventures to un planned destinations, and ice brings freedom of the unexpected. But respect if you enjoy ev’s enjoy it but don’t expect it will work or be suitable to all.

Interesting watching this now. I bought my tesla around the same time. December 21 Model 3 performance with 11700 miles. Tesla offered 26k. Private, maybe 30k max. 36k to pay off loan. So negative unfortunately. Fancied the new updated performance but not paying up to 10k just for the change, not to mention the higher monthly rates with interest rates. Thanks for the update
