Great video and nice to see real world situations not just examples on a wiring board... IOne thing that did strike here is why did the customer want the socket below the TV and not hidden behind it? They will now either have the power lead from the TV hanging down, or have to fit a bit of trunking to hide it, either of which doesn't look particularly good...

With regards to wiring, i assume the bathroom is upstairs? Why not just get up in the loft? Would have taken a fraction of the time to run the wires

That bosch extractor hood is the balls. Great bit of kit. Can't imagine how covered the whole place would be without that.

This looks really similar to my bathroom. Previously fitting 4 spots from a single over head light. They didn’t fit ip65 in the bathroom and starting to rust so going to replace units. Two power cables going in so do it need LEN LEN connectors like you have used or I notice that the supplier does a loop version with only LEN inside. I’m guessing I just need the LEN LEN version? Thanks

All the testers with the RCD incorporated should have got an extra point as this would indicate a neutral earth fault at the socket once pressed.

Does this have 3 pins suitable for sockets in India ?

Only were mandatory.

It’s only a requirement for socket circuits up to 32A to be on an AFDD, perhaps when they go down in price they’ll mandate for all circuits to be on an AFDD.

Dumb question if I may. There are two cables (loop-in loop-out I think it's called), does it matter which way round they go into the light? He didn't say 'this is loop in so it has to go on this side' or anything like that as far as I can tell.

i was under the impression that going along the wall any distance is a BIG no no, possibly even illegal. All cabling has to come down from the ceiling / up from the floor.

One of those jobs you know it needs a rewire after about 5 mins but you still gotta spend hours doing the testing. Just a thought, how bad is reverse polarity? In Europe and many other countries you can plug in the socket both ways.

Basic insulation of the pendant cord visible. I wouldn’t even waste my time recording it… Jump up on a pair of steps and wrap the wire around the cord grip, 10 seconds work, job done.
