Brother Mike, I do believe voting does matter. We know that God often does things/ allows things to happen so that future generations may learn from it (in Ecclesiastes.) So, as believers right now, on this side of eternity, we are somewhat in exile, in Babylon, until we are glorified when Jesus returns. So until then, I believe we should pray for our leaders, like it mentions in the New Testament, and also help contribute making society as righteous as possible. Even Jesus said repent for the kingdom of heaven has come near; Jesus carried God’s glory and was doing the Father’s Will to establish the Kingdom hear on earth (totally different from nationalism.) I also love this scripture in the Old Testament: “And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ God does want us to impact the city/nation we live in, firstly through prayer.
