My 310 destroyed my iPhone in less than a month. It was originally in a Xgrip No problems after going with Peak Design. We are also doing very well. Enjoy your summer.

We have two of the 310’s. One of them was lowered using the lowering link, lowered the forks, and shortened the kickstand for Caroline’s bike. The Rox Risers did help the handling! Let us know what you come up with. John and Caroline ☘️

@@TheGrandShamrockTour i also fitted the lowering link, shortened sidestand and pushed forks through top crown but only 15mm. Was very reluctant to go any further in case handling issues occurred.

@@neilkoos4556 Caroline here… I did not find any issues with handling. I did when we lowered the front forks on a prior 2009 BMW f650 GS. It would dive in the corners a bit. I have not noticed it on this 310. I hope that helps. 👍☘️

Hello friends! I recently caught up to your travels and it made me consider buying an Airstream in Florida! 🤣 We landed in Central Oregon after four years of full time RV and Travel. It was time to get our own address and washer / dryer. 😊 We did purchase a cargo trailer that we will use to haul the motorbikes and possibly camp (vs hotel for Caroline:) Safe travels to you both. Wow... we really like this bike for what it is. Smaller displacement, lighter weight, easy to get around. Depending on road conditions (we got the TKC Rocks tires for using more off road) we did like the stock tires for pavement. I would say yes it is worth it as it handles close to that of the old 800 GS and it gets up to highway speeds easily. Let us know what you decide. J&C ☘

Hello! Thanks for the comments and hopefully your comments will help others in doing the install. The local BMW shop was no help in suggesting how to install… but they would charge over $100.00 to do it. 😂 The 2023 does have the two wires for options to connect to. Getting to the wires is tricky and the “finesse” to get in and out can be a challenge. Great work on taking it slow and doing it right. 👍 We both have a helmet cam instead of dash cam so likely will not get back in there for now. 😅 Thanks again for reaching out. Travel safe. @@TheGrandShamrockTour Yes the guy I talked with at BMW dealer where I bought didn't know about the AUX power sockets behind the headlight. Yep the 2019 also has the two AUX power sockets there. The 2nd one looks a bit harder to access but prob fine after you cut the zip-tie. Yeah removing the headlight was one time deal for me. Never again I hope

Ahh! Very good question! 😀 We have purchased new tires and have been slow to get the video out. We chose the Continental TKC 70 Rocks. They are working great in the dirt. Took our dirt safety training with them and they were stable, handled well, and got plenty of traction. Thanks for asking! John ☘️

Hello! We used two inch risers and there was just enough clearance “lock to lock” on the handle bars and wiring. The Rox Risers really are one of the best additions we made. 👍😀 Good luck! John ☘️

Great John thanks for your reply👍 I have just put the SW Motech foot pegs on in the lower position and that makes standing up a lot better. Based on your recommendations I have also ordered the 2" Rox Risers too 👍 So I should be sorted 😊 it's just a great fun bike to ride isn't it? I also have a 1250 GSA too. I have the same helmet and love it with the in built Comms👍 You probably know ? but you can install the SC2 App on your phone for extra information when it Bluetooth connects to the headset and if you click on the settings wheel on top right of the phone screen, you can see the battery life, which lasts ages between charges 👍😃 I also have a Puig screen on my bike which is great too 👍😃I’m so glad I found your Utube channel which I really enjoy 😊 thanks for posting 👍 cheers Karl 😃

Hello! We use the SW Motech tank ring and bag. The magnet works so well and it removes very easily. We did not want “straps” across the tank as some systems have that. A bit more expensive but worth it! Let us know what you decide. 😀 John and Caroline ☘️

We agree with you on the Dunlops! However, finding a tire that we can enjoy for 4-5000 miles will be great. We liked the traction of the Rocks. Review out soon. 😀👍

Thank you for your thoughtful comments! We have found that we do appreciate the smaller lighter bikes. They did well in the dirt without lack of power. The tires helped and still had enough power. We had larger bikes and would not have taken them to this class. We can tell you… no one paid any attention to us as they were too worried about their own heavy GS bikes. 😂

Hello! Yes, it will work with Stainless Steel as it reads the volume of propane it the liquid form. I attach mine with the included magnets and the peace of mind using fiberglass strapping tape / gaffers tape to easily remove for filling (or in your case - exchange). Wow. So sorry this happened to you! We say "Head on a swivel" but really... other drivers MUST be watchful for motorcyclists! We have seen our share of drivers not paying attention. One thing we have attempted to do with the G310GS is to get off the bigger highways. This is not always possible, but it does allow for quicker reaction times and slower speeds. We are planning on adding the Denali horn since the 310 horn is so quiet. We will let you know price and function soon. Stay safe out there. John and Caroline ☘️
