😩 its been bugging me SO MUCH that i forgot how to rotate thr miners counter clockwise 😵💫. Thank you for that 😩😩
PS, this may be helpful to link to? "Condensed Tables of Councilor Starting Data from Wiki" - Effectively the "min-max" pick table (choices mostly depend only on player "faction")
The fact that any nation other than the USA, Russia & China can get a heavy payload to orbit (like get the "stuff" to construct a gunship, tiny station in orbit, modularly) is so unrealistic, even by the start of 2035 (like a decade from IRL 2024) its preposterous. Only the USA or China have needed infrastructure to "do most of it solo" (and BOTH have issues here). A mode where Earth is a Global State headed by the USA, with under factions, would be more reasonable.
Can anyone hear anything? or I'm just deaf now
such a sh i t explanation, wt f is this
FFS the ammount of times i did one just to refund 😂😂😂😂 i love you 😘
This online tech tree tool looks AMAZING but the link is dead :( Does this exist in another form currently? The in game one is basically impossible.
Hi! Can you do a tutorial (or some advice video) for rendering videos in UE5? My case: I want to render some product animation and not be running hours in cycles for it!
Thanks!
good idea!!!
Satan himself blocked the contact for whoever the fuck designed the interface for this game. Welcome to force pause and read. Enjoy.
Excellent nation management overview. Trying to decipher the nation screen has been my biggest hinderance in doing well so far. You've basically covered every aspect that I was most confused about. Knowing this i now understand why my fully controlled united states is on the verge of civil war v2 lol
very helpful information thanks you.
To maximise your tech tree options, do a little math so you know when it is impossible for another faction to pip you to being the lead. As soon as that becomes apparent then you can pull all your tech from that research and put it into another where you can can catch up the lead, or sink it into the lower section for internal engineer works. The AI has to put its research into something so don't worry about all the factions suddenly pulling out as you have because they can't catch you. This is also how the AI seems to operate, where it will consistently monitor the options and drop tech to switch focus in order to dominate a tech. I successfully dominated 2 of the 3 research options for years concentrating on denying factions that I opposed.
just getting into the game, i choose the easy way ruling France to absorb my neighbors, do i need to maxout there mission control and build their own spaceprogram before absorbing them? or is it like the max. mission control for a region is kept and i can build it after absorbtion regardless?
I can't remember the exact thing now but if you absorb them then I thibk it will average out. Won't have to start a new space program if you have in the one.
@@PhotonwindGaming in the meantime i stumbled into the answer, MC is capped per Region (not country) each one has slightly different number, if absorbing a country before build its max capacity, it is not a loss at all, as absorbing a country is absorbing their region(s) which have their already or non installed MC, it is shown in the nation overview region tab, where you also see claims.. so the answer is there is no loss, but building it before absorbing might be faster, as it is build everywhere at the same time
but now i have a different thing, what about space program which led to boost, once finished the lets say non existent space program you will get a space launch facility harbor whatever called, and now you put invest into to get boost out.. here is the thing, with all my new knowledge and the stuff i learned from your actual Initiative play, i just restart the game as humanity and concentrate on Kasachstan and Russia region, in 2026 i have not merged them together, but putting all invest into Kasachstan spaceboost since day one, the facility shows now an yearly boost arround 60, could it be, that everytime you finish the 2 points invest, the output overall increase like enhance their efficiency?
Glad you got the answer and shared!
So to get more boost investment you need the various research that improves investment. Or modules in space station that improve boost
Moon get the uranium, Mars get the gold. Ignore any moon stuff that doesnt have much uranium.. Just focus on taking all of mars
it depends heavily on what kind of resources you get on your moon: one playthrough i had two sites on the moon that both had over 12 fissile base income the very next playthrough the highest fissile location was a 2,4 with other locations below 1 with those resources, spending boost to build on the moon is pretty much a net loss of boost usage in the immediate term. best to stockpile and spend on a decent Mars mining location
How to read and which government to choose in the winning country?
very good primer for beginners
Thanks!
Thank you a overlooked subject
Thanks!
Thank you, excellent technical details VT
Appreciate it, thank you!
Boy do i feel dumb. So obvious once you showed us.
So did I! I found it by chance
100 hours in and never knew that was there. My Eu/pan asain india/caliphate academy playthrough... so much tome wasted...
Glad the tip was useful to a veteran!
Can you do one on just anti Zeno stuff
Good idea. I'll see what I can do!
Awesome guide! Thanks mate
Thank you!
tech tree link is broken
Thanks for pointing this out. I'll look into it
Seems to be working
thanks for the guide. subbed
Thank you!
The constant drain on alloys is a core game mechanic. You must be constantly finding more, or making them from iron. Or everyone dies. It's what makes people compare the game to Frostpunk, which has a similar mechanic of having to constantly procure coal to keep a generator running. Or everyone dies. Earth got glassed by falling moon chunks. Note all the huge craters. The massive impacts blew off nearly half of the atmosphere and 5% of the planet's mass, boiled away the oceans, and the residual heat from multiple massive impact events left the average temperature at a rather unpleasant 81°C. Using explosives to get into something never ends well.
If you use up all the fluorite on the planet to make greenhouse gases (equal measures of NF3 and SF6, as there's a diminishing return the more you add), the planet's average temperature will increase to about +12°C and water levels will rise to about 200 meters of elevation, plus or minus 5-each of the separate little seas has its own individual sea level. Aside from lowlands being submerged, you'll have lots of large rivers too. Also, water flows downhill-if it looks like a river is going to cut through an important area, you need to entirely encircle it with dams to divert the water around it, with one outlet at the lowest point. Pay attention to the elevations in the bottom-left. Otherwise, rainfall is just going to collect within and flood it anyway. It's not really possible to save areas that are going to end up below sea level. Try to keep out the rising tide on one side, and streamflow is just going to fill it up from the other.
Thanks so much for this detailed comment! Really useful info! Would be cool to be able to recover areas but it makes sense
@@PhotonwindGaming Yeah. People may point to the Netherlands as an example of land reclaimed from the sea, but it only *stays* reclaimed because they're constantly pumping water out of the low spots and dumping it into the ocean (that's what all the windmills are for). Until some sort of water drainage and relocation system gets added to the game, I don't see any way to save areas doomed to sink. At least you can see where the oceans form on the map from the start, so you know to avoid those areas and/or use up resources in the low spots first. Also, trains have no trouble crossing rivers. The game assumes that if you can get to another planet, you can build a bridge.
@@bitbucketcynic I think a continuous maintainance pumping thing wouldn't be the worst mechanic. I do like that the rising oceans are something to plan around though, I just had no idea how much they actually would or the mechanics there.. 200m is good to keep in mind for the future. And lol at the bridges 😂 that's fair
wait, you arent supposed to?
Only if you don't like money more than people 😂
You South African?
Yup!
Where is next episode, did you drop the game? :'(
Life got in the way for a while. I definitely want to upload more again. Thanks for the interest I'll try to do more soon!
@@PhotonwindGaming It seems life is still in the way i guess. It is a shame that this nice game dropped from public attention.
@@Specialist0815 I haven't forgotten about the game.. But yeah. Life is still in the way. When I get a computer again I really want to get back into it. I think about it a lot!
Thx for the guide man. This is sort of a game thats realy need this. I also liked choces that you made in video editing. Also cheers for that
Thanks so much! Much appreciated
I appreciate this video more than I can express.
This made my day
Thank you for this guide, and thanks to the commenters adding additional tips! I'm a first time player myself after I got this game for Christmas. Decided I'd try a Russia-based run. Things will be slow-going for a while, but I figured for realism's sake I would work on consolidating control of the CIS nations and federate all the other post-Soviet nations, then once megastates are researched start reabsorbing them until the USSR's borders are restored. Things are going along okay, though my attempt to crack down and purge the bottom two control points in Russia were thwarted by three bad rolls in a row at 80% chance of success, followed by the other faction securing them, locking me out for the long term. How I hate RNG.
Thank you! Commenters are definitely the MVP I learnt some great things from them. Goodluck with the play through! That RNG can be annoying but I'm sure you will find a way!
Having 2+ counselors advise on the same nation is diminishing returns, however different nations there is no loss of efficiency. Unifying countries is the best strat for a permanent advise counselor as it works on the whole nation. Also, ADM stat on GDP is false. I alters the GDP calculation used when generating investment points...it will hardly effect the actual GDP unless you have lots of dots in economy. Admin advise increases anything you have investment points in. You can see it in the description.
Thanks for the tips! Makes unification even more enticing. Definitely lots of intricacies to everything
Fantastic Video and new sub. Great tips for beginners and people with a play through under their belt. There is so much resource and to better focus your attention your pointers are helpful to keep you on the right track. Again there are so many tracks, mostly leading to engines lol Hope you make more videos as you go. Thanks for your help
Thanks so much for the lovely comment and sub! I'll definitely be working on further videos on later techs and ships etc when I get time. Thank you!
&,05, that has nothing to do with actual gravity mate, Gravity is 4 dimensional not 2.
I’m guessing the misophonia mode reduces or eliminates that man’s infernal chewing. Thank goodness, if true. Nice of the devs to save the last shreds of my sanity.
I think you must be right! That chewing was a weird addition lol
Now imagine my face when I realized I just had to zoom out of Earth for the button to build a satellite appear. My biggest difficult now is to manage my boost, even with full control over the US it's far from enough.
Yeah... These things don't get explained by the game well. Hopefully some of these things help though!

if you're making a guide, it doesn't serve to open up the tooltip and just read it from it. I can do the same thing. I'm looking for things which aren't said there.
I do cover other things not described, but that's a fair point. Will be covering more advanced things in less beginner guides
Super helpful, thanks!
Good video! Left a sub :)
Thank you! 😁
Thnx for the short and sweet video. I would have liked it if Command would rather contribute a % increase to the investment points in miltech. Kinda useless as is unless you're in war.
Thank you! They have a discord accepting suggestions for features and changes maybe check it out?
There are 3 organization-based traits actually, apart from Government and Criminal, there is also Sociopath. Just like Government and Criminal are opposed to each other in term of what orgs are available, Sociopath effect this but there is no 'counter trait' for Sociopath but rather not having it. Sociopath trait allows the councilor to control terrorist organization like ISIS and Al Qaeda, however having Sociopath trait bars the councilor from getting humanitarian organizations. Suffice to say Terrorist Orgs are mutually exclusive with Humanitarian Orgs.
thats a good find, I find it odd no one commented on this. Is there any additional mechanics related to this (past the mentioned "ISIS like group" control), something directly effecting the Aliens or Sympathizers?
Was that opening shot a cutscene?
Not an official one. 😜 Working on some stuff for my videos
@@PhotonwindGaming Excellent work.
@@armakoir7476 thank you!
"PerunGamingAU had the Earth disappearing. Then again you mentioned you have a backlog."

I've got a backlog of these, editing is slow. This was recorded at the start of October 😅 will try to speed up
i think you get a bonuis if you spread your tech research.
Yes! someone else pointed this out. Didn't know about it! But looking onto it it's a 5% thing for additional research. Might be good overall but not in the early game I think to rush to space. Wouldn't mind seeing a more detailed look at that from someone
@@PhotonwindGaming If you have points in all research projects you get a bonus, which can be massive depending how you stack it. You can see this bonus in the list for reearch. Cant remember what its called...
While game dosent explain it at any point there is actually significant research bonus for contributing to multiple projects So you should contribute at last one dot to each
A bonus not just for contributing the most to a project?
@@PhotonwindGaming Yes put your cursor on research points icon on the top bar and you will be capable to see from where your research points are coming from Its called "research distribution bonus"
@@janus8003 thank you! That keloed me find more info. looking onto it seems to be a 5% thing for additional research? Definitely Might be good overall but not in the early game I think to rush to space or get individual techs. Wouldn't mind seeing a more detailed look at that from someone
@@PhotonwindGaming I didn't figure out precise math behind this bonus But from what I have observed getting one dot to each project and and three to one that you want to focus on will allow you to finish it sooner and increas your chance to became largest contributor in comparison to situation where you would contribute all your reasearch points to just one project But its just my causual observation I didnt made many experiments on the subject so I could be wrong Additionally from what I heard recently from one of TH-cam guids chance of unlocking engeenering projects related to reasearched technology is increased depending on how many points you have contributed to it So it would be additional reason to split reaserches (but i'm not sure whether it is true either) Overly game is pretty terrible at providing essential informations to the player (but considering its in early access stage still that much could be forgiven)
