If this era proves anything it’s Disney wasn’t immune to the dreaded “slump era” even when Walt himself was in charge!

It's not a theory, it's a fact, Tex Avery confirmed that his Bugs Bunny's rework was inspired by Max Hare. And one of Bugs Bunny's first cartoon under Tex Avery's direction was "Totoise Beats Hare", introducing Cecil Turtle. This Silly Symphonie short was a revolution in the History of cartoon, introducing the concept of "fast lines" (an idea from Ward Kimball, who animated the character with Ham Luske. Btw, Kimball was also behind all the concept of the sequel "Toby Tortoise's Return", signing his first scenario for a film), featuring memorable characters with established personalities (a thing that wasn't usual at the time), a short that influenced other studios like WB... A masterpiece of animation and a favorite of mine 🔥🔥🔥

I like to think Meet the Robinsons and Bolt were part of the Revival Era. They were the first movies in the theatrical canon to be under Walt Disney Animation Studios, they were the first movies to have the staff behind the rest of the Revival Era, and they were under John Lassiter & Ed Catmull.

If I had a nickel for every time Princess and the Frog was ranked 30th in a Walt Disney Animated Studios ranking. I’d have two nickels, which ain’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice. Why the slander tho movie reviewers?

For me, The Renaissance Era is perfection. It remains for me and for many fans, the best Disney era that ever existed. So much so that even The Revival Era doesn't come close.

It's true that the experimental era wasn't so dark. Disney had so much going on at that time. There were masterpieces like Fantasia 2000, Atlantis, Lilo and Stitch and Treasure Planet. Cult classics like The Emperor's New Groove. Underrated classics like Brother Bear and Meet the Robinsons. Good classics like Dinosaur and Bolt. But also mediocre or even bad classics like Home Alone and Chicken Little. But at least they were attempts, risk-taking and real creativity that I unfortunately didn't find with the revival era. The Revival era is more like the era of buyout (Marvel, Star Wars, 20th Century Fox), profit, lack of creativity (Live-Action Remakes, Ralph sequels, Frozen, Moana), Woke ideology and the LGBT movement. Personally, I prefer to rewatch Fantasia 2000, The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis, Lilo and Stitch, Treasure Planet and Brother Bear. These are my favorite Disney from this era. And also rewatch The Princess and the Frog which is the only Disney from the Revival era that I loved because it is the last 2D Disney Classic from the Studio. Since the studio definitively moved to 3D with Tangled, I have never found what made Disney's charm and identity. Since 2010, they are not even Disney anymore but downright Pixar.

This is the Thanks I Get better than every song from The Little Mermaid combined? If summarizing the movie plots with occasional shallow bouts of commentary didn't disappoint me, your lacking knowledge of what separates good music from personal preference sure did. Look at Alan Menken's career achievements, and look at Julia Michaels'. He is an EGOT winner with 5 Tony Award nominations for Best Original Score, and often credited for saving the Disney company by kickstarting the very Renaissance you mentioned in your video. Not a single song from Wish was even nominated. Your commentary is uneducated, and your humour doesn't make up for it. I'm also upset with the state of the Disney company and their profit-first projects, but at least I can tell what gave the previous films their quality and longevity (not to be mistaken for nostalgia) in the first place.

I've taken to buying sleeves to put my collection in. Not only does it save an absolute tonne of space, but it's also easier to get the discs out without damaging them. I've got a bunch of felt lined sleeves (and thanks to a similar lining in my 20 year old Buffy collection that has been played more than any other DVD I own, I know this prevents the disc from getting scratched). I then put this inside a larger sleeve that contains the original cover. Sure, I can't really display them on a shelf, but I never have to worry about stubborn cases making me feel like I'm going to snap the disc. Also, did I mention how much space it saves? I'm not joking. I can fit about sixty DVDs and blurays in a box about 20cm long.

Pixar had a deal where they had to make a certain number of films every few years. If they made a sequel, then that would break their deal. Toy story 2 was a gamble because it was supposed to be a straight to video release since disney had a strange quota of releasing video sequels of their movies Aladdin king of thieves was the first direct to video sequel to make a profit for them. prior, they released existing films to tape, such as the little mermaid to low demand that would be later rectified, and we all know of the vault gimmick. Don't we it was disneys way of saying that our classics will be available until they are thrown back into the vault... Basically, buy them now before they are gone forever, a weird marketing tactic

When I was about 8, I really liked Chicken Little. I would watch it semi-religiously. I don’t nowadays, but I still think it’s a pretty good movie, and not as bad as people say it is. Buck Cluck can’t be the worst father in cinema, especially considering how he does learn to bond with his son by the end.
