A crime?? 92,000lb load is pretty typical load by most farmers. It's called an overload permit where we are allowed to do this. And unless every farm has a 100,000 dollar scale at their farm, it's a guess, sometimes it's overloaded and sometimes it's not.

It involves some work and it’s certainly not fun to do in the cold! We have so many jobs where you can’t bring a side dump or pup trailer since the roads, driveways, job sites are way too tight. If the supply source is closer than 20 minutes away we will do straight truck rounds. This job site was about 30 minutes away from the pit, straight trucking it would have taken 3 hrs to complete. With the transfer it took about 2 hours to complete. Rates for pup or transfer are appx 1.5x straight truck rates. So we were about break even the rate of a straight truck saving a bunch of fuel and an hour of time! The further you need to haul coupled with high fuel prices the more it makes sense. Total time transferring and dinking around with the trailer is appx 15-20 minutes depending on how quick you are, i know some people that can do the entire transfer process in less than 10 mins.

It's very practical, especially for getting into tight spots.

Hi Jeff, loop took appx 5-6 hours, parked at (45.6946724, -112.0105954), depends what your into but I’d recommended riding it for the challenge and for the beauty. It was a difficult and rocky ride (even the downhill legs) and I’ll probably wait a few years before riding Curley again.
