What happens if I have leaf from a farmer, I pull as much air out as possible and then freeze it? Will it stop or slow any mold issues ? It’s been cured and a little moist. The leaves are scrunched and folded over where they are more moist inside those folded areas. Do I need to unfold them before I freeze or fridge those leaves?

i Just harvested the most Yellow leaves in mg plant and hung them, should i dry them in towels instead or wait for them to dry and only then put them in towels? thanks

Ive heard of people using a very lightweight shade cloth or even use trash bags wrapped around the large harvestable growth for a few days to a week to essentially starve the leaf of chlorophyll which drastically reduces the nitrogen and the ‘green’ of the leaf. Thoughts? Have you ever tried starving lower growth of light for the same effect as waiting for them to yellow?

I'm curious once you air cure whole leaf is it possible to shred (I go fine 0.5mm for rollies) then simultaneously ferment with flavor infused cool vapour, leave to air dry and absorb then age in airtight with occasional burping? Repeating the vapour, dry and store periodically to maintain moisture and flavor

Good way to moisten your tobacco is to Ziplock bag it then freeze it in the freezer. Once the bag is cold take it out and open it. The moisture in the air because the tobacco is cold will condense perfectly. Then close the bag again and your set. Does it just like a cold beer glass

howdy do you only have a youtube channel or do you have a discord server too? so i plucked the leaves from my plant as they turned yellow and I decided to hang mine on string in a room and they are drying perfectly completely yellow leathery feel as they dry some have gone a nice dark brown colour curling on the edges and still leathery I decided t chop one up with a knife so its very coarse (roll up smoker) and the pull is very strong (I'm guessing high nicotine content) to reduce this do I now need to store and age to bring that strength down (has a lovely taste though) needs to be less harsh and smoother (the pant is Virginia plants same as yours) or do I need to grind up the leaves finer for extra smoothness?

I'm telling you the process of tobacco curing is not done until you fermentate I grew tobacco leaves and I did all type of curing for years but I didn't get the texture or the quality that I liked until I did fermentation once I learned how to do that my leaves come out perfectly read up on fermentation of leaves your tobaccos growing game will change

I let it sundry then I store it in the shed then I fermented in a big steel case in the Sun with a pan of water Dan rehydrated sit in the sun again fermented once more lightly about a week wash it down and that's it

If your leaves are too green and you've already harvested them, dry them in indirect sunlight. The sunlight transforms the chlorophyll and they will turn a nice golden brown.

IF you let them get fully yellow on the plant, Virginias will have less sugar than flue-cured, but the flavor will be much stronger.

Gallon ziplock is fine

Great video one goofy thing I did was stretched it too much first time. Just watch how in this video it’s only stretched couple of times so the length is not increased so much pushing it back becomes impossible. So I then destreteched it a little so the length was like in the video. Now it’s working like new.
