15:24, according to the behind the scenes info the suit was very heavy, almost impractical to wear and made Peter Weller lose weight by solely sweating.
Kelly MacDonald, who played Carla Jean Moss, is Scottish. Her Texas dialect was perfect. I don't think she ever slipped up and allowed her native accent to slip out. Chigurh didn't kill the trailer park manager because he heard a toilet flush. He's very careful never to leave witnesses. If not for that, she'd have been dead. You suggested that Sheriff Bell didn't care much. That's not it. He felt was powerless in a world he no longer understands. The guy at 29:29 was hauling the bodies of the drug dealers who were found dead at the beginning of the movie. Carson Wells made an educated guess as to where the money would be. He knew that Llewelyn wouldn't try to take it across the border, because it could be confiscated there. So he looked just before the border checkpoint and found it. Carson might have wanted to wait until dark to retrieve the money. There would be less chance of him being spotted in an area where he wasn't supposed to be. "Did he just murder all those chickens?" - You're worried about the chickens?!?!? What about the guy who owns the truck? One theory is that Chigurh was in the room next door when Sheriff Bell entered the room. Another is that it's just Bell's imagination - that Chigurh had already been there and left, and that the sheriff was thinking about what he might run into. Carla Jean never had the money. She was supposed to get it from Llewelyn when she met him in El Paso, but Llewelyn was dead when she arrived. Chigurh did kill Carla Jean. You could see him check his boots for blood when he left the house. He was always concerned about getting blood on himself. Yes, it was a random crash. It shows that even though Chigurh tries to maintain control with his rules, he's still subject to the same whims of chance as anyone else. As he said himself, "If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?" I think Chigurh ended up with the money. Llewelyn hid it in the air vent of the motel room. Sheriff Bell noticed that the grate over the vent had been removed by someone who used a coin as a screwdriver. Chigurh did the same thing in the first motel room. One thing that makes this movie so effective is the almost complete lack of non-diegetic sound. It's a very quiet film, and the long silences help build tension.
Yeah T3 and pretty much most Terminator stuff after 2 is just cash In, beat a dead horse garbage. Its loses its heart and is just mindless sci fi action films that don't hold a candle. Its the same story as Alien franchise, the first 2 are superb after that its just Hollywood trying to repeatedly milk the license for every dollar they can.
I have seen this movie many times, but this is the first time I've ever seen that ending, set thirty years after non-Judgement Day. There is another version of this where it ends with Sarah Connor speaking over a video showing the road passing by, like if it were seen by someone looking out of a car. The ending in the version you just watched is a little TOO happy. I'm not sure I like it.
Terminator fucked this film This is more based on Judge Dredd, which a Brit should know Verhoeven is a genius, Cameron is a hack
Robocop family story is continue in part 2
45:44 THERMINATOR was by far not the first movie novel desling with such a topic. The closest thing in movies had been COLOSSOS, another movie were a COMPUTER took over the world. Also to go to the basics R.U.R. ROSSUMS UNIVERSAM ROBOTS by Karel Capek. A play from 1920
The emergency room scene used real EMT's so that they would look like they know what they are doing.
31:43 tell me, where would future John have hidden instructions, in a suppository in the Terminator’s 🫏? Besides, I imagine paper is kinda hard to come by in the post-apocalyptic year of 2029. Also, the T-1000 doesn’t have a chip as its central processing unit, its entire body IS the CPU-or to put it another way, each “cell” of its body is a CPU
Yes, Linda Hamilton did Children of the Corn!! I'm pretty sure you've already figured that out, sorry to beat a dead horse... In the US, she is also remembered for a popular TV show she was on from 1987 to 1990: Beauty and the Beast! Ron Perlman was in it too. Knowing that, take one guess as to whether Linda H was the beauty or the beast. You guessed correctly!
She is also known for Dante's Peak (the volcano movie with Pierce Brosnan).
Nah dude that was the perfect Anakin Sith eyes stare.
I'm glad someone appreciated that 😂
Great reaction. The T1000 at the end in the liquid metal fire pool he wasn't getting hurt when you see him screaming and changing forms, he was just trying to survive because his mission wasn't over, thats why he tried everything to survive and not fail but couldn't.
You got some bad info, theatrical release is much better
The suit was actually 40 pounds and very hot
56:53 The ending is one of the reasons I prefer the theatrical cut. The extended edition adds a couple of scenes which disrupt the pace and the theme of certain things. For example the reset switch scene was originally cut out. I like it this way because then the Terminator starts to learn and memorize human stuff due to his bond to John, instead of a clinic software update. The glitching of the T1000 at the very end start to crumble its reputation about being "almost" indestructable. After watching the theatrical movie many times I was always astonished by the fact that up until like 5s before its destruction it was still 100% functional, only to be outsmarted by the T800. Also it is more impressive to see John figuring out by himself that his real mother would never call for him in that situation - instead of the added scene where the molten feet give away its camouflage. Last but not least the ending is anticlimatic to the start of the movie and the whole plot in general. The standard ending is much more realistic, dark and metaphorical to how the future will unfold. Dont get me wrong, these scenes are not bad, but for a first watch, I prefer the theatrical cut. After that, the extended version becomes interesting to watch for fans, but not the other way round.
42:15 Something in the way how slightly annoyed this guy sounded, makes me think that this wasn't the first time that Officer Carl Gibbens was absent from duty without permission.
I'm pretty sure that robocop basically looks like the terminator under the flesh. Shooting the mouth really won't do much.
Jim Cameron : "-Can you fly (the choppe) runder that bridge while we film this ? -Sure, no problem." It's insane, but it worked perfecly. It's not an effect. Nobody ever notice it.
You gained another subscriber at 12 minutes in when you commented about the “CGI crap”. The older stuff just looks better even if it has a “little “ CGI. GREAT REACTION.
FACT/TRIVIA on Terminator 2: Judgment Day * Terminators T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) & T-1000 (Robert Patrick) had NEVER talked to each other (face to face) except in phone call scene just like from 19:33... 😊
By 1991, Arnie had become a big star so it wasn't at all surprising he became the good guy. For me at least, it was a cliche and disappointing to see him do his usual stuff...shoot, shoot, boom, one-liner. Missed him as the baddie and I wanted Sarah to kick his butt again.
Спасибо что смотрел именно Extended version film:))) это мой любимый фильм, я его впервые посмотрел в начале 90-ых.
Very very nice film😊😮🎉❤
The Theatrical version has a different ending and opens it up to a sequel.
This movie is a legend when the Terminator says now I know why you cry
no way terminator is better than t2. T2 is one of the best movie ever made
Dogs can identify the terminators. The resistance learned that and started using dogs for that purpose. So yeah...they don't like dogs hahaha
You are right. The doctor didn't watch T1. He was in T1. Haha it's the doctor who interviews Kyle and talks to Sarah in the police station. :-P
Your "preictions" are braindead.
😍😍
20:33 Maybe useful though bcs now he realised it wasn't Wolfie but Max, and deduced John had gotten his personal cyber protector.
Your subscriber chose the WRONG version of T2: Judgment Day. 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 The Extended Version has the terrible ending to T2, and the Theatrical Version had the better ending.
Kid, TH-cam is a COMMIE POS Platform.
Unfortunately what should have a massive plot twist to find out Arnold was the good guy was utterly spoiled before the film even came out, the trailer they started showing at cinemas literally said he was now the good guy and that information was then placed on the internet of the time and them entertainment and game magazines put it into print in great big bold text. Edit to add. In the original theatrical version of Terminator 2 the film ended with them driving down a dark road with a voice over saying something along the lines that they move forward into a new uncertain future that is not set, it was done this way as James wanted to make a 3rd film but all his attempts were shut down by the studio executives and at the time it was clear a 3rd film would never be made and so when he made the directors cut he made a new ending ( the ones you seen ) that portrays a future where skynet never happened and so bringing an end. But then years later they wanted to finally make T3 and so they changed a few things about skynet and judgment day in that it would always happen it was just a matter of when and for how long it was delayed.
That's so frustrating! Movie trailers are such a double edged sword. Necessary for good marketing but trailer makers still haven't seemed to grasp the art of 'not giving the entire movie away'.
As mentioned in my T1 comment, Cameron’s movies and the recent anime show are clear on the rules. This is not the Back To The Future single timeline rule. These work on multiple timeline theory, time travelers don’t “disappear” if the new timeline is affected. Their past is the timeline they came from, the one they change has no effect on their existance. (Technically, the future from which the T1000 and uncle Bob come from is the 1984 world seen in T1, they don’t come from the 2029 future seen in Kyle’s memories)
Hi mate I just wanted to say I enjoyed your reaction. Blessings from Australia
T4 is worth it - its not perfect but its very good
That poor skeleton stuck in his car in an eternal traffic jam….he is never getting to to work lol
39:50 "When you have to shoot, shoot! Don't talk." 😁
oh no you watched the shitty ending version! the real ending makes a lot more sense from a STORY and TONE perspective as well, it just also happens to be good for franchising.
I was 10 when this came out my parents took my older brother and me to see it at the drive in, best movie experience I've had!
you know im not a reaction scientist but this might not be the movie to test your youtube dick suck tactic on.
Glad you enjoyed this legendary classic. I was there in 1991 watching this masterpiece at the cinema, and to say it amazed EVERYONE, is an understatement. This film literally CHANGED cinema. So to give you some information on the mechanics of time travel, and how it works. Everytime a human or Terminator go through time, they create an alternate timeline. So for instance, Reece in the first film looked at a picture of Sarah in the future, and then went back in time to 1984. When he did though, he went back in time to a different Sarah from another timeline. So the Sarah in the photo was from Reece's timeline, not the one he then helps in 1984. This is how the T1000 and T800 dont dissapear when Cyberdyne is destroyed. Its because both Terminators have come from the timeline where Cyberdyne WASN'T destroyed, but went back in a DIFFERENT timeline where Cyberdyne was STILL intact. This means the war is STILL a possible with Skynet, unless its destroyed with the T1000. Destroying both in tge film ensues the ending you watched, which is the "Alternate ending". This is ending that SHOULD have been used, but the theatrical ending is just left ambiguous. Terminator 3 was made because of the original ending to T2, not the "alternate" version you watched. John knows about the Terminator, because hes ALREADY experienced the events of the film from HIS timeline. When he sends the T800 back in time to protect himself when hes a boy, he sends it to an ALTERNATE John Conner. So this means hes sent the T800 to another version of "himself", in another alternate timeline. Alternate timelines in the Terminator multiverse, have already been CONFIRMED, so this information is accurate. Fantastic reaction by the way.
T1 = horror movie. T2 = action movie. Both are excellent but different genre. T2 has quite a lot of humour added to to please the public, which was non existent in T1.
You kind of described T4 Salvation, starring the late Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese
T4 Rocks - Its the last good one
Thanks, Tom! 🦾
You watched the alginate ending to T2
Probably my new favorite reactor! Where can we recommend movies… if here I recommend DJANGO UNCHAINED, WHIPLASH, AND GOODFELLAS
Thank you so much mate! Oh those three are SO on the list. I'm actually most excited for GOODFELLAS. People have been telling me to watch that for yearsssss!
heyy there...great reaction....since you watched the extended version there was a different alternate ending stuck on at the end...if you tube T2 Theatrical ending you'll see the most common ending that was meant to be at the end, and also the one that connects to Terminator 3
I cant believe any grown man when he says they've never seen Terminator 2. It's crazy to me. I saw this masterpiece when I was 9 years old. The Terminator and T2 are the Star Wars and Empire of my generation. To me, T2 is the greatest action film ever made. Its arguably the best sequel ever made. Every film after Terminator 2 amounts to meh to bad to terrible fan fiction.
