When she sang this in the movie "I'll Be There" I got shivers and tears. This is a nice arrangement, but I preferred the way she did it in the movie.

Really loved Charlotte Church in the early years. A lot of people talk of others better, like Jackie. But, I will take Charlotte over them. Except one who seems to add a lot of heart to the performances, that is Amira Willighagen. If Charlotte comes back to her roots, we can have two Angels singing.

I am sorry. But, Church cannot sing. Her voice is tiny and thin; and her top notes are weak and shrill and it comes out in bursts. It reminds me of my cat's. Church simply hasn't enough voice for this work. Her interpretation is one dimensional and it's obvious that she is clueless to what the libretto is about. She keeps shaking head and her lips are trembling. It makes it look like she is desperate and is crying for help, and who can blame her for this? Why is she even famous? Was she on PBS? parents should make their kids stop singing opera because there is no future in opera. nobody cares about it. The very fact that you need a libretto because you can't actually understand the words being sung is it's very flaw! It's all vowel sounds with tons of vibrato. I've never understood the appeal.

Charlotte could have been VERY good if she had gotten proper training. The pipes are there, she just didn't know how to use and conserve them. Producing vibrator from her jaw was also just--not good.

I know what you mean. Then again, this was a tsunami benefit. I think they probably wanted to keep the energy up. But I think it's an atrocity to try and 'jazz up' somewhere over the rainbow. I'm not even going to watch all of this. Pish.

Jackie's good and all ya but Charlotte Church is singing it more properly this is pretty close the way it's supposed to be sing for this song your not suppose to really sound like a soft Angel Charlotte here is almost close to Sarah Brightman & BTW Jackie is NOT pure Opera Jackie to me sound like a normal 10 year old trying to sing opera but when she gets older people are gonna expect her to really stand up like Sarah & sing with out a mic cause most opera singers don't use mic's

The truth is that her voice was exploited as a child and her training was poor and dangerous. If you watch her videos as a child, you'll notice that her jaw wobbles up and down. This was a sign of strain on the vocal chords and she also was taught to rapidly vibrate her jaw up and down in order to create the vibrato that she didn't naturally have. After so many years of this, singing operatic repertoire which not appropriate for a child's voice, and over singing, the voice is now gone. Sad.

yes, I guess that 's a music industry reality check===they have to keep making money--not that its the best decision.
