Sunday 26/05/2024 Had some more crazy fun with my Ioniq 5N trowing it into corners. Tried torque distribution 30/70 to let it powerslide more but without N pedal the front end didnt 'dive' into the corner enough to make the car rotate. ( you cant combine N torque distribution with N pedal ) Ended up going back to 50/50 torque distribution N Pedal and you can see the result :D Also did my first ...

09/05/2024 Driver of the blue Ioniq 5N in front is famous youtuber and racing driver Misha Charoudin :) We had so much fun pushing the Ioniq 5N trough traffic, we drove 2 laps one after the other. Battery didnt overheat! Using about 22-25% battery each lap I was driving in Custom mode, N Pedal and Track - Sprint mode. Sorry for the bad camera position!

Fun lap with 4 people in the car with the new Ioniq 5N low battery at the end of the lap ( less power ) still managed 8:14 BTG time Dont mind us laughing, we were having too much fun :-)
Such an game changer of a car. Never considered electric until I saw this.
Those old BMWs seems to handle corners pretty well though. Nice video and the IONIQ seems like a fun car.
Judas priest, that false sense of grip. When shit goes sideways in this thing it bites back! Seems pretty unsettled at the limit, not the car for me!

Balls of steel to drive that porker of a family car like that! Amazing job Hyundai did with what is a Korean taxi to be able to do that on the track...in the hands of a capable driver.

Hi Ben, great videos, great car! I also have Ioniq 5 N in te colour blue matte, mine has a lot of orange peel on the black gloss paint on the rear bumper and other black gloss parts, but the rear bumper is the worst. I was wondering if your car has this too? Thanks!

@@Benp5N Thanks for your response. Yes i have addressed the issue and they are looking into it. There are not many of these cars around yet so i am gathering some info of other ioniq 5 n owners. You live in Belgium right? I don’t think you live very far from me when you are visiting the nurburgring, i live in the netherlands near venlo.
what tyres do you use? 285 wide?
I use the standard tyres, 275/35/21
The fact that one’s mum could take it to go shopping …then with the flick of a switch, Ben steps in, it becomes a monster track machine -awesome!

As a Kona N owner and a general EV disliker, I am genuinely impressed with what the masterminds at N have done to fix (most) of the common complaints about EVs... handling, engagement, and straight-up fun. The way this car is tuned to give you either understeer or oversteer in such a progressive and controllable fashion is just incredible... on top of the blistering speed this car can pile on. Hyundai used to be the laughing stock of the industry... now they're laughing at those that laughed at them.
Agree! I dont think EV’s are better or superior to other cars. I just loved this car from the moment they announced it. The total package it offers is amazing for its price 👍

@@Benp5N OK. Without traffic, would there be overheating issues (if pushed 100% everywhere, no drifting etc.)? And how much battery capacity would one lap cost without regen?
@@jakubkrcma without traffic it would be the same. On this lap i pushed hard also with drifts etc. If I use NGB boost it would be a bit more maybe. Without battery regen it can be 30%
Civic Type R os still faster on that track than this Hyundai. Thats embarrassing 😆

The only EV car I'd consider as a petrolhead! That 440i wasn't messing about either. Clearly a B58 with like a stage 2 or something but I'm more curious about the handling mods because that car seemed pretty stable in the corners too!

Great driving, impressive capabilities on that thing ! Do you use the N pedal regen? if so, how long did it take to get used to it, especially on track?
Thanks! Yes i always use N pedal. It gives a much better feeling diving into corners and helps a lot with the battery usage % on track. I tried without and the car felt 'heavier' on the front into corners. ( in my opinion ) On track its not that agressive as you would think, it took maybe few corners to get used to it. 😄
