for the emperor
'This was the end' ... slaps so hard... true heroes of the imperium
on istvaan 3, all those loyalists werent sons of horus, world eaters, or death guard. they were luna wolves, warhounds, dusk raiders, and the true emperors children.
“Yes…..We hurt them.” Probably the best thing loyalist could hear in that time.
random heresy vets when they see a large battlefield and a large amount of titans
im starting galaxy in flames soon cant wait so cry
It is a tragedy. Maybe the biggest tragedy I've ever come across in fiction.
Every true 40k fan would tear up
The World Eaters deserved better.
I just finished galaxy in flames and it left me in tears. I knew from watching videos that no one except Loken would survive but it still hurt so much. I really liked Torgaddon, Vipus and Tarvitz and I even felt bad for Aximand! I had only cried at fiction one other time. That book is a Damn masterpiece!
I am not overflowing with tears...it's you not me....
I wouldve cried about Istvaan but a bunch of Iron Hands died, so it wasn't a total loss
Let us remember those loyalists who would not falter, I shall start with my favorite Rylanor the Ancient of Rites
On Principle they all deserved to be remembered, like the fallen of the Gothic War, they deserve a gigantic monument on Terra.
Dang, what made me sad is that there are no loyalist death guards during Istvaan III. I ficking loved those dudes😔😔😔
No there were, quite a few actually. The reason no Death Guard were with them was because they were deployed outside the walls of the Coral City and they were in the trenches when the virus bomb hit. EVEN then there were survivors somehow, but because they were at the walls, basically none of them made it to the Precentor's Palace which was the main defensive holdout that was being fought for and it was almost in the middle of the city, far from the walls and any loyalist support. Mortarion deployed alongside Angron and personally cut down those sons of his that remained....
@@ironduke5058 oh I see... Good to know that some survived rip to those who didn't
IM NOT CRYING! YOU'RE CRYING!!
Who broked the webway?
This music edit of everlong is so damn good! Anyone know where I can get a file?
„Lost looking World Eaters“ hit hard. Deep and hard…
Income up to this chapter yesterday at night, I was alone in my apartment and bro did I cried when Torgaddon died and at the very end when the loyalists realized that it’s the end. 40k is beginning to amaze me even more than LotR and I am just new to it
It is better to die for the Emperor, than to live for yourself
"Better to die for the Emperor than live for yourself."
No, I'm not crying... it's just... the Life Eater virus. 😢
Cant believe its been 10,000 years since them slags turned traitor and smashed Istvaan III it still freaks my nut out to this day.
Why did you have to make me cry like that man
Dude I hope the Amazon/GW project Starts with Horus Rising. The first 3 books would be such a strong arc to adapt
sounds more like snowfall in normal pace
"There were not death guard in their numbers" Man, that really hurt
The dusk raiders fighting outside as much as possible during the virus bomb was truly one of the greatest last stands in warhammer.
Wow this pulls at your heart
As the final bombardment came, I, and the few brothers I had left lifted our gaze upward for a final time. Through the constant, pain inducing haze produced by the cursed nails within our skulls we saw the final ‘gift’ of our father. What bore his hatred for us, his once loyal sons we will now... never know.

Ngl I’m both impressed and a little jealous this video had 431k views whilst my video (the original video without the meme format) has 183k views tho at the end of the day I’m more glad sooo many people have watched it and enjoyed it
I think this video is better as it has the meme faces. Good try though bro, you cant win them all.
: ( Christ, the feelings. Wow the audio book does justice to the moment. Thank you for this edit.
I’m actually the one that made the original edit (without the meme format) Tho I do agree this version is pretty good
@@YorvicsWell I think the music makes that haunting moment so much powerful. Good stuff.
@@slevinlaine thanks 😊
"Now it ends..." "Oh please Skitarii...it's only just beginning...!"
Did we hurt them, captain?
"Did we hurt them Captain? Did this mean anything?"
This one hurt
A.I. needs to make an animation of this
Galaxy in flames really fucked me when i read it last year.
I love how they hijacked a woke comic panel to make it cool.

The traitor primarchs were unworthy of their legions
István is a hungarian name for stephen
Now they were brothers. Holy fuck that hit hard.
The traitor legions had so many advantages. Gear, better munition, the element of surprise, orbital bombardement and full legions. Than they wanted to cull their legions and the loyalist weren't as foolish as they thought them to be. They fought back, and did so hard. They haven't just lost a good part of their legion with the cull, but even more with the loyalist drawing time and some wargear upon that. Also the prestige, that traitors and Buffed Choas Marines are not better than their loyalist counterpart.
You know people today ask why care about mythology and modern fiction that glorifies heroes in hopeless battles who hold to concepts of honor as old as our species. The reason is that this is not hero fantasy but rather an ideal to aspire to, to be of stern and sound mettle that if tested you too would hold to your morals in the face of hopelessness. It is a light in dark times as well as a reminder that life can be and will be as hateful and harsh as any foe in tales of old or modern fiction. That there are things worth bleeding and suffering for in spite of a modern world who claims there is nothing sacred anymore. Hold true heroes as an ideal to aspire to, use them to push you to be a better soul than the day before. The fleeting pleasures of a nihilistic surrender to a corrupt world will fade as soon as they are enjoyed but how those who live beyond you remember you will last generations if not all time.
Shout out to the reader, the inflections and tone are perfect "They all knew it" A blend of brave acceptance and quiet defeat
Out of the entire Book that part was the best. I almost feel like it was read with his morning voice.
If that Background music were part of the audio book and the only piece of music in it It would have literally killed me,doing my first 👂
Remember Istvaan, brothers.
Bros, what are these feels I am experiencing now..
Im not a space wolf fan so I dont get this one
