Wow, that piece is gorgeous! I hope they choose the first orange, I think it complements the deep wood tone more. But either will be gorgeous! 🧡
Thank you so much!
You do great work--it turned out gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
thanks for this... just picked oneup for raised garden beds.
You're going to love it!
Why have you quit making videos, and just going shorts. I really did enjoy your videos.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am almost 60 years old and the weekly hours of refinishing a piece every week and filming all the clips and editing all was too much. Thank you anyway! 😊
@@restyledpiecesboutique Thanks for the reply. I am 77 and I know where you are coming from. ☺
Build your own its really simple
I love this video. I really need ti restore my jewelry armoir I inherited from my grandmother when she passed away 12 years ago. I had to store it for s while and mikdew/mold has kinda gotten a hold of a little of it. Did u need to replace the drawer lining as well in this? Do u think it would be just as simple. Its currently a dark cherry with those wing looking handles dark beonze handles and hunter green lining. I'm looking to redo it farm style in this color of your video with more gold simple handles /trim and black velvet lining. I've NEVER done anything like this, your video was very encouraging, thank u!
I’m so glad this video was encouraging for you! The drawer lining was already in decent shape so I didn’t need to replace it, but you could absolutely replace it. 😊 Good luck! You can do it! 😊
Thank you for the video, god bless you
You are so welcome! Thank you and same to you. 😊
Great affordable air filter an especially good idea for winter when working in my garage. Which way does the fan blow the air? Air blowing upward drawing air into the filters?
Thanks! The fan is blowing the air up. So, the filters draw the “dirty” air in and then the filtered air is blown out through the top. Make sense? 😊
@ yes that makes sense! Thanks. I worked all day with the heater it got up to 45* wore my respirator but Had to open the garage door to air out.
@@janicesnapp2850 I had my heater on and also cracked the garage door with my regular fan blowing out, too.
If that's the 715 saw I'm pretty sure you installed the screws upside down. Bolts should be on top.
It’s been working fine since I purchased it. They might very well be upside down, but not been a problem. 👍
Such an awesome idea!
I think so too!
Amazing, what do you use for stripping
I used Kleen Strip and lots of PPE! It’s stinky and strong, but works well!
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful!!
Thank you so much! 😊
Don’t get rid of the mirror! It is valuable!!! You can get it refurbished!!!
Some people don't care about antiques, they just want to redo it without much cost. But the reality of some pieces are well worth it.
Why not get the mirror Re-Silvered ? You'll never get glass like that again. Re-Silvering is a thing... guess you'd need to know a really smart grandmother
Hi! I chose to replace the mirror because the cost to resilver is significantly higher and the old mirror has scratches, as well. 😊
What sprayer is good to use for a beginner? Not looking for high end but good quality.
Two beginning sprayers that are great (I have both as my backups) are a Home Right Super Finish Max and a Wagner Flexio 5000. The HR is more budget friendly, but still does a great job. The Wagner is more expensive, but a little more controls that are helpful and the motor is not carried around, so it’s lighter. I have them both in my Amazon Shop in the “Sprayers” list. You can find them here: www.amazon.com/shop/restyledpiecesboutique
did the clamp come with the saw or the table?
It came with the saw. 👍
nvm i found it in the box with the saw, lol. thanks!

Hi Beth Your paint sprayer does not look ike the one you use in the video. What are you using in the video for a paint sprayer?
Hi Jean! I have upgraded my sprayer. This is the Wagner Flexio 5000 and it is a great sprayer! However. I upgraded to the Fuji Q5 Platinum, as it has a bit more fine adjustments and more options for attachments, etc. They are both great sprayers, as my Wagner is still my backup sprayer. The Wagner is also great for beginners through more intermediate refinishers. Hope that helps! 😊
How do you tell when you've taken enough of the top coloring off but not blow through the veneer? When do you know when to stop?
This was solid wood, so so wasn’t worried about that. On veneer, I usually start with a 120 and see if it takes off the finish, which is usually more shinier and more colored. When it starts to get dull and then it’s off. You’ll just get the hang of it. And we’ve all have blown through veneer, so doing that a few times helps you to “know” how thin it is and whether to strip with stripper first or use a carbide scraper to scrape off the finish and then sand with a 120, then 180, then 220. (Or whatever grit the product or stain tells you to sand upto). Hope this helps 😊
Your wonderful! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with me. I am grateful.
@@DStamper.FloridaAnytime! Hope it’s helpful. 😊
Have you changed to a different sprayer? Or are they about all the same?
I have! Thus is a good sprayer and the Wagner Flexio 5000 and the Home Right Super Finish Max, especially for beginners. I have. Fuji Q5 Pkatinum now. I love it!
Can you point me to the posts on this?
I have a full length TH-cam video on this one and photos on Instagram. Which would you like?
@restyledpiecesboutique Both please. You are very talented!

@@restyledpiecesboutique Thanks!
does this work as well as a spray gun and compressor? learning all the equipment needs is annoyingly complex. If I could just use this and bypass a compressor, great. if a compressor gun gives me a better finish AND allows me to do a million other things that this sprayer won't then its compressor-ville for me. thank you!!!!
I have never used a compressor spray gun, do I have no way to compare, but this gun works really well. I now have a Fuji Q5 sprayer with a couple more ways to adjust and I love the finish I get. Sorry, I couldn’t be more help. 😊
Thank you!! I was trying to figure out why I could not get the drawer out to remove an object that fell behind preventing the drawer from closing. TH-cam University never fails. ❤❤
Glad it helped! 😊
@ oh and thank you for not mentioning my over stuffed drawer which caused my issue in the first place lol
@@jayeelle9243What over stuffed drawer? 😂😉
I’m reupholstering and customizing a jewelry box for my uncle and this was so helpful! Thanks so much!

Beautifull❤
Thank you! 😊
Did you dilute with water
I do a little bit. Maybe 10%. I wouldn’t have to, but so like my paint a bit on the thinner side. 😊
Ful
All wood with bees wax would have looked amazing too
Color is just perfect and makes the wood look so rich and beautiful! I love to see these pieces restyled for someone to enjoy for years to come! 😊
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words. 😊
I think the paint looks so tasteful! I’ve seen it done other ways, but the wood is still showcased in a cute way, and the color isn’t too flashy. Great job!
Thanks so much! 😊 That was my intention, was to salvage much of the wood and make it functional and classic. I appreciate your kind words. ❤
It’s an old dresser, even with the dings it would have looked better if you didn’t cover up the beautiful wood with paint. You could use shellac to seal it and it will fill in the dings naturally.
I could have, but I chose to paint and stain and fill in missing veneer under the side, instead. Thanks for watching! 😊
Someone is going to find those on the side of the road in a year and take it home to make a "strip this ugly paint on wooden furniture" video
@@SentencedToBethNope! Client loves them!

I like wood-EVEN if you cover it with paint lol!! This piece is just beautiful and I absolutely LOVE the color. GORGEOUS! Good job!! 😊
Thank you so much!
Hi can i only use matte finish top coat
You can.., but you have to be careful not to use too much or more than 2 coats as it can dry more cloudy with flat. I have always just tried to be safe and I would use semi gloss or satin first, then a coat of flat. It will have the sheen of flat and still be nice and clear. 😊 Hope this helps. 😊
It looks fine... I guess... but you lose the charm of the gorgeous dark wood. Not everything needs to be greige. Also there's no way the paint on the hardware is gonna last, it'll start peeling in a month tops
Well, thanks for watching. I love the beige color. To each his own 😊 I’ve had pieces of my own that I spray-painted and top coated the hardware and it has lasted for two years and going strong. So, I believe it had to do with proper preparation. Thanks for watching. 😊
Coat them afterwards with some clear varnish or lacquer, it’s much more durable.
This spray said not to do that, so I didn’t. But yes, I’ve done that. 👍 Good tip!
Try bar keepers friend
I have worked with that, too. For these not being a pretty metal, it wasn’t necessary. 👍 But, thanks for the suggestion. 😊
Oh nahhh is that the Dookie towel??? 😭😭
That is not what most people nowadays picture under hardware
Wow, funky! I love it. ❤
Thanks! Me too! 😊
The addition of the legs brought this piece to the next level. It looks great!
Thank you! I completely agree! 😊
It looks so much nicer with the latch off. Beautiful looking piece now!
Thank you! 😊
Looks amazing! Girl after my own heart coming nip with contraptions to make your life easier.
Thank you!! You know it! All about the proper tools!
So many great ideas! Just gorgeous! Did you decide to make the feet? I didn’t see them in your product list. Perfect combo.
Thank you so much! I accidentally left them off. They are just easy to screw on feet. They are now listed under “Furniture Legs and Feet” below and on my Amazon shop here: www.amazon.com/shop/restyledpiecesboutique Thank you for catching that error and for watching! I appreciate it! 😊
