League Colors The Way You See The World
This is a solo recording of me talking through the thoughts and negative energy that comes from being on a low point in one's League Journey. It's important as players to practice self-compassion and to remember that we all are going through the same struggles. So be kind to one another and even when you encounter someone who is lost, take pity on them and do not judge them too harshly for their actions

    Hey, love your passion for Camille and thanks for the contribution to League wiki. Picking up Camille recently and played some rough matchups. I have question for E mechanics hoping u can answer. Against certain CC I can buffer it with E1. Example when you search YT shorts is E1-ing malphite R. His R hits before E connects to the wall, but I can still dash to the wall. But other times, my E1 gets cancelled completely. Example is Renekton W and Darius E. The CC hits me before my E1 hits the wall, and my E1 gets completely cancelled. What's up with these interaction? Is there a very small window for me to buffer CC against stuns/knockup with E1 and I missed it? The Wiki says E1 gets cancelled by knockups/knockdowns but how does Malp R get buffered then?

    • @Hail_Fire
      @Hail_Fire 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey! yeah I'd be happy to help. in fact your question is easy to answer, it's a matter of timing, and in the case of what you're describing you are experiencing the fact that E1 being canceled means if you have begun to move towards the wall any cc will cancel the movement. But if you are cc'd before your E1 projectile hits the wall then you will upon the E1 hitting the wall you will still pull to the wall. It doesn't matter what kind of CC you are hit by but just when you're hit relative to the E1 connecting

    • @BamItsHazel

      @@Hail_Fire Thanks for the reply. But I vividly remember that my E did not hit the wall yet. Went something like Renekton E'd me > I cast E > Renekton W'd me while E still travelling to wall > E disappeared completely. I did not expect this too as I heard Cam E will buffer through CC. Looked it up on Wiki and they had this explanation: Camille will be knocked down by any immobilizing or polymorphing crowd control, excluding sleep(bug), during the dash. So I'm quite confused too. What are your experience with this? Should have recorded it..

    audio quality is soooo much better. Still a bit quiet, but maybe that is just me (I have to turn up a lot of youtube videos, so check if you have to boost audio on your own computers and phones cause it might just be me) 4:00 on that point, to use your same blitz example, if blitz has an open hook to you, you could dodge left or right or straight (or maybe he predicts your flash or dash too) when he hooks, but even better is to deny that mixup and just stand behind minions so he never gets that chance, or if he walks past all the minions, he would lose the subsequent fight. 23:00 an interesting point I often think about is "how much respect should I show my enemy?" Basically, at game start, should I assume he will play perfectly and then downgrade my assessment when they misplay? eg assume the blitz knows that r flash sivir interaction from game start until they misplay then assume they don't know it. I think LS advocates for this. Or should I assume that my enemy will play like an average player in that rank? eg a silver blitz will never perfectly do that r flash to get sivir, so don't ever respect that until they actually do it. I imagine that this becomes easier in higher ranks cause you actually play with the same players over and over again so you can build a mental model of "this player know the sivir blitz mind game and this one doesn't". This is even more interesting in pro play since you play with the same players there even more often, but that topic is for another day since this channel seems to be about soloQ

    • @Hail_Fire
      @Hail_Fire 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have been doing my best to work on ways I can improve the audio quality. I had avoided actually doing Audio voiceovers for several years due to my dislike of the quality, but I am making some investments in things like pop filters, and also refining my recording process to improve that quality. I will say while I at times did keep my mic lower to prevent breathing from being picked up, you may have your audio a bit lower than normal since I also use an audio booster tool, and I only need it on really really quiet videos, so if you're having to use it on a lot that might be a sign of your own settings being too low. In response to your notes on the discussion: For the first comment, You're right, and standing behind your minions is the most effective way to avoid that mixup scenario entirely and this is why I said good players what they do is they reduce the frequency of how often they are put into these situations. A quick side note before the second comment, while you're right about standing behind your minions, that would not be the case if you were playing Sivir. Because as Sivir, you want Blitz to use his Q on you as once he has you and your support are both able to act without concern of if he is going to try to hook one of you suddenly. The way that you do this safely is by posturing such that you have a long and clear sightline to where you expect the skill shot to be fired from (preferably you want to see the enemy using the ability so you can look at their model and watch for the animation of the spell being cast rather than waiting to react to the projectile itself. For the second comment, I find that one thing I've gotten very accustomed to is discerning the quality of a player based on their character control and the degree of presence they exert in a lane or the game. I can perceive from where a player is moving the way, and how they play around spacing, or when and how they use their spells if this is a player I need to be aware of it. I tend to if a player fails to show any of the typical indicators of real mechanical prowess then I actually for the most part disregard them, which means I just apply standard spacing and safety measures, but I won't be thinking about how are they going to look to get me. The main advantage of high ranks is mostly that you can yes sometimes recognize names, but even in the ranks like Emerald where this is still not a super common occurrence, you can at least see the clear signs of when a player is someone who is mechanically capable. Here are a couple clips from Bwipo talking about this same thing that occurs in pro th-cam.com/users/clipUgkxqs4_vh5bYY9UDtby4sPiMFL0N0Fcd5G_?si=84aNFCa8i4yBc6EI th-cam.com/users/clipUgkx0dboF-TbzzMZul36s5OSHvLj-IjavMcj?si=pSJS6R1J2hClJFVL th-cam.com/users/clipUgkxCSRqkYka1KidjWNmdvuugHKkSVt4vaG-?si=fIQOf1TTzfoXZPhC Overall my channel is focused on League in all contexts, be it the conceptual and theory of it, analyzing gameplay, talking through how it relates to life, or seeing how it affects us psychologically as players.

    I had the same Problem with my confidence being shattered when performing bad on a champion with high mastery (in my case camille). Oh yeah, 100% agree fully, I found that these days I mostly play Kayle but I still get my games of Camille in there from time to time. Over this period of me really focusing on Kayle I've been forced to deal with the emotional challenge of after a setback not letting myself feel such a blow to my ego that I don't just give up on the champion. For example with Kayle, I actually was 10 W and 1 loss at one point, and then I had a 0/3 block and I felt this very potent blow in my ego regarding its desire to want to throw out Kayle like a broken toy.

    • @Hail_Fire
      @Hail_Fire หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Camiddle I mean my aim never has been trying to make it big, My content tends to fall into two types, there is content that is structured and prepared, such as my Camille guides or my tips and tricks videos, these are things I put a lot of effort into trying to make sure are compact and informative so that the viewer is able to learn something they may have not known before watching that video; my other type of content is videos such as this one here, and these are done in an attempt for me to get better at making videos in general. Recently I have begun to try including audio commentary in my videos, since for a long time I avoided doing so because in the past I felt like I didn't like how much my mic would pick up my breathing or background noise. I am now trying to see if I can either through editing or improving my recording setup eliminate this issue as I actually am someone who really loves talking about the things I am interested in. I don't know if you watched my video on "Finesse and Morality" but that's an example of what I would really love to make more of. I will say that what I used to struggle with a lot was when I was starting out and I'd make the first kind of content (The structured and time consuming videos) I would be often unsure whether it was worth me having made them based on the level of engagement or response they got. I mean is it worth spending a year on a video that gets 200 views? Previous I would have said, "I don't really know if that is worth it" But thankfully now I have come to a point of understanding that I have things I am able to do and that I control which are directly related to how my content will be engaged with such as things like "Creating My Video Thumbnails", "Keeping My Titles Clean", "Writing Descriptions", and making an effort to share the videos I make with others who might be interested. Just today, I got my Camille Mechanics Guide added to the Subreddit side bar after I made it 199 days ago. I had thought I wouldn't be able to do so because I got IP banned on Reddit a year ago. My E guide was in the sidebar and I'm very positive that is why my Camille E guide has been my most successful video to this day. The only reason that it took this long is I had been telling myself that I wouldn't be able to rather than just asking on the discord server if it was possible

    I want to main Camille because she looks so badass, however I'm a mid/sup player. I'm scared to top alone and suck at jungle. If I mid, do I build tanky or full damage?

      If I had to be honest I think that if you're struggling with playing top lane out of feelings of fear you'll likely have a very difficult journey on Camille as she is a champion who has to be played with a strong sense of confidence in high-pressure situations. Her Fast E off the wall is core to determining how playable some matchups are.

      To answer your question though, Full damage if you're going midlane. You want to be able to kill your enemy laner when they misplay or you can pick them using vision

      I recently actually transitioned to play Camille Mid so I might make a guide for how my gameplay style has changed for the new role

      Thank you, I really appreciate you saying that and it's because of all the supportive comments I've seen recently that I just finished recording footage for the next video I'll be releasing. Again I greatly appreciate you taking the time to show that you enjoy the video.

      Update I just finished gathering 80 different recordings for my next video. Thanks again for your words of encouragement. It helped a lot to get through rounding up all the material I would need for this.

    Hey! I've been meaning to pick up camille in my roster of champs but always seem to struggle at any point within the game. Would it be possible for you to give me a hand?

      It makes me really happy to see this comment, and I'm happy to say it got me back into practice tool recording footage for my next video. Currently, I'm planning to do a video covering the mechanics of Camille's other abilities. Still, I am also interested in what else you would be interested in seeing since I am very well-versed in many champions.

    What is the Camiille vs urgot dash interaction if they both dash head first towards each other?

    • @Hail_Fire
      @Hail_Fire ปีที่แล้ว

      Camille wins, although if the timing is just right, they will tie.

      @@Hail_Fire I usually e away so that the hook pulls me out of the stun. But I've never tried to wall dive into urgot dash

      @@beng2080 yeah I know what you mean it's actually quite intimidating to dash into these other abilities, but you just have to learn which ones you have priority over. That's why I included that section

    The Speed at the beginning of the video is 2x this was an accident I though I removed it, I was experimenting with how to reduce the full length of the video. This was one of my first attempts at trimming and splitting a collection of clips I manually recorded from my pov. Overall apart from the audio being abruptly cutting in and out when changing clips, I am fairly happy with this for one of my first edited videos
