Arcane fight scenes aren't ment to be fun
Arcane is a Masterapiece, captivatig action, sharp dialogues, and much more, but something about the fight scenes doesn't seem right...

The battle scenes in Arcane are visually stunning, emotionally charged, and narratively significant. Each fight reflects the characters' emotions, relationships, and ideologies, with unique choreography tailored to their abilities. The blend of dynamic animation, impactful music, and thematic depth makes every conflict unforgettable.
Getting hyped over a fight scene just to come to the realization that it's misguided. Every character is thinking, "I'm not the bad guy, I'm doing what is right for my people." Most of them are just children acting out of fear and instinct. This show is so heartbreaking and amazing i love it. Thank you for the video i enjoyed this perspective
Arcane really hits like a truck
They’re your sage's yunobo sage of fire and Sidon sage of water bro
Where’s riju Like erm what the sigma I’m just an ordinary person that plays this game
The Korok Forest theme song was my fear 😂😭
We’ve seen link. We’ve seen the horrible things you’ve done. We’ve seen all the bloodshed.

Great video. Arcane has really been a treat for animators and animation nerds alike, haha. It definitely motivated me to start working on a project that's sat untouched for a couple of months because I completely lacked inspiration for it. Your clip from Chainsaw Man made me think of an animated short by the late great Satoshi Kon, "Ohayo", which I think serves as a cool counterexample for a take on basically the same scene but with much more expressiveness to the character! A neat comparison of two things that are good for different reasons (I haven't watched Chainsaw Man, but I've heard good things, haha.)
Dude, I'm trying to cook a project too, im just trying to decide which one, and fleshing some things out, Arcane is a fucking inspiration, keep up, hope I can see your project in the future
6:29 What movie or show is that scene from?
Pinocchio from Guillermo del Toro, is in Netflix
One of my favorite character acting moments (besides Arcane) is in Tangled, just before Rapunzel's parents light the Lantern. The whole sequence is wordless but says SO MUCH about the characters and how they feel about this ritual.
YEEESS! Love that scene too, I mean that whole movie is a gem
Finally someone talks about this! I always look for character acting in animated content of every kind and it's pretty difficult to find something so deeply satisfying on that level in recent times.
Great video! No matter where I turn, I find new aspects of Arcane that I can dive deeper into. Please send help!
I love animation. And I don't think of it like a childish, silly way of story telling. Animation is very effective to convey emotions and character traits. One problem with Disney's live action adaptations is, that they tried to hard to copy the cartoons. Animation is not a media, it's an artform. Like expressionistic painting. You use the colorful paint and the fast brush strokes to communicate strong emotions. But you can't use the same technics to produce a realistic Renaissance painting. Animation uses exagerated body movements and facial expressions to convey the feelings of the character: The sinister laugh of Ursula, the cocky attitude of young Simba etc. And when the emotions are even stronger they switch to a musical: Dreams and desires are usually told via an "I want - Song" (Simba, Ariel, Quasimodo ect.). And it works. It's very good storytelling. The producers of Ariel once said: If an emotion is to strong to just say it, sing it! And when that's not enough, dance it! And in the life action movies they tried to do the same. And we got an annoying seagul who needs to shut up and a crab that looks and feels disgusting.
The Dexters Lab reference at the end 😂
Yet another thing that I took for granted and never gave much tough to... Arcane keeps on giving, huh? Layers upon layers of amazing detail. I might have to do a rewatch lol
Hey, for what it's worth, I've been watching you for a while and I really like your style and ideas. I do hope you get the recognition (and funding) you deserve because I CAN'T WAIT to see some big project made by you
The episode from Midnight Gospel is fucking amazing.
That episode DESTROYED me
REALLY liked your video, it perfectly blends into one of Arcane theme. I hope you'll get more attention. i definitely felt something watching your video !
Its depressing because the message of Arcane hits deep but actually doing something is not possible
The hyperfixation I have for Arcane goes wild
Good stranger who i've never met - I'm watching your video, that you created from your own heart and soul, and put up on youtube, talking passionately about something you love deeply. I don't even feel like you scripted this and just wrote down like 3 points to touch on and then /went/ with your feelings as you talked. 1,400+ people have also seen this, the same way I did. 8,500+ people have subscribed to see more from you. Most people don't even know 1400 people IRL. Some wouldn't even say they know 140 in any meaningful way! But here you are, reaching that number with this video right now. And looking at your comments, plenty of people empathized with you, felt what you felt, shared your experience of wanting to be that same person that inspires feeling. And that means you accomplished precisely that even for a moment. You've inspired other people with your feelings already. Now, my friend, Let's see you do it again.
Hey. Actually fantastic video. Love what you had to say about creating something that makes people feel things rather than just animating something someone else made.
I personally love animation and thought about doing it then got an epiphany that creating and directing film was actually my passion and what would allow me to share my stories.
I don't know if you feel similarly, but working on independent stuff is definitely a good way to express that need to create.
Finnaly you said that you dont want to be invisible. Yeah I get that I think all artist do. I definitely think sharing stuff on youtube is a good way to be seen but also maybe sometimes you just need to create for your self. I bet this video was kind of that since I saw lots of thing relating to yourself and emotion rather than what an random arcane fan might want from a TH-cam video.
I love creating and you are a lovely animator. Hopefully I made some sense. Keep going, from one Latino Artist to another.
I'm no artist but I felt the exact same thing regarding my music and other creative projects. You put it perfectly into words, I want to be visible and create stories that move people. I sincerely hope you achieve your dream
Some of the biggest struggle I've felt in developing my own story-driven game has been the feeling of needing to "measure up" to some of the absolute best. After finishing up with Arcane season 2, that hole deepened for me by quite a lot... until recently, I'd been focusing too heavily on developing characters, rather than sharing lessons I've learned through my own story of life. I rushed to make something that looked good and got folks excited before knowing what direction I wanted it to go. Now I'm going back and rewriting a lot of things in a completely different direction. It's easy to get caught up in seeing folks much younger than you getting hired on for the work of your own dreams, but it's dangerous to burn the candle at both ends... If you feel you've got a powerful lesson/story you want to share, let the storytelling shine! The more effort you put into fluid, jaw-dropping visuals, the more frustration you'll have if any of those scenes get scrapped because they didn't fit with a more impactful story.
I think we all want to be that 14 year old that worked on spiderverse but we as artist have to start making for ourselves. That's how true stories get made because someone wanted to do it for themselves. Bad stories are those that are made with only the audience in mind.
If you haven't already, I would HIGHLY recommend watching the behind-the-scenes series that Riot put out for Arcane season 1, because holy smokes... the whole development team had some really similar struggles with finding the identity that they wanted for the series! It's... almost as powerful as watching the series itself, seeing the hardships they went through on the road to find the message they wanted to share.
i wanted to be an artist, but it would be a gamble, i wanted to be a doctor, i didnt have money to be able to become one, i became an engineer, and ended up a welder. Tho now in real life im putting my practical skills + something i wanted to do in art as teenager + engineer knowledge to make art, but sadly, i work for others, because making art from metal, is expensive af. So its always a gamble, no matter what you do. Unless you are a genious.
U know the show is good when u randomly start crying days after the series finale knowing it won’t be coming back.
Or you sit down staring at the wall not knowing what to do since you feel empty now that the show is over.
I adore your passion in this video! I really wish you luck on your artistic journey!
Thank you!!
yes yes and yesssssssssssssssssss
"Ur on ur way, just keep going" And yes arcane is overwhelmingly awsome, i keep doing frame studies in my sketch book and challenge myself to paint in that style (color blending as a pain) and i wanna try a more realistic approach to my artstyle. Bc of arcane, i love it, i've boight the exclusive art book and I cant wait until it comes in the mail bc damn i need to study that bitch. What designs did they start with? How did they conclude that that was the style they wanted to use? How lighting? Any exclusive writers interview? I also set myself into who actually made this, like amanda overton who wrote alot of caitlyn and vi does she have any writing courses? Or interviews where she talks abt how she thinks when she writes? So ye this is gonna take a few months before the storm settles
TBH: I wouldn't worry too much about it. Keep in mind, that Christian and Alex hired a seasoned veteran screenwriter, who wrote A LOT of scripts. Amanda Overton has much more experience than you or I. And not one single animator worked on the masterpiece. Fortiche has over 400 people working on Arcane. They figured out their signature style years ago and honed their skills to give us what we saw. Do what you do best.
Yes, exactly this!!! No matter the skillset, having a story and a message worth telling is so much more engaging than something spectacular for the sake of just spectacle, couldn't agree more!
TH-cam proposed me that video, and i'm happy to say i enjoyed it. I m an artist, pro artist, i draw things, been at it for years now, and slowly, atracted a crowd. And.. Arcane made me feel the same. I wanted to create, to tell a story, any story, just to share. To be able to give back a bit of that magic. What i can tell you is, i don't know you, but this video moved me. We ll certainly never meet again, but your words, the story you gave us here, moved me. It put word on a feelin i had, and i shared it to friends to tell them "yeah, it's how i feel about it too" I am only one person, and you certainly wanted to move more than that, but i know also, as an artist, that in the end. Even if it's saddening to see a work you work so much not suceed as much as you wanted. Seeing it move one person, at least one person.. It's what make it worth it So. i hope this comment found you and i hope it ll make this moment worth it in your eyes. Thanks you again
bro no offense, but I couldnt understand like 20-30% of the words you said. And it looks like youtube's closed captions struggled just as much lmao. But I like your energy, and the algorithm randomly recommended me this video so you must be doing something right. And I think we can all agree that Arcane is amazing.
Aight, no offense, you might need to pay more attention to the video then, mate. I read your comment and we're trying to pick some of that stuff up, and I could hear everything loud and clear; it's raining here btw so it should be very hard to hear it, but nah, it's all crystal clear. 🤔
Im sorry, trying to improve on that, I don't practice the language outside of me recording for a video, but im trying to get better
This is EXACTLY what I've been feeling this week, at some point I gave up on art because I couldn't communicate the emotions I had in mind, and Arcane has inspired me a lot to continue with projects I had left unfinished.
Great video! Since there will always be more failing artists than succeeding I'm sure this will resonate with a lot. Seeing how Arcane inspires and gives meaning is a great reminder how you can also potentially inspire and give meaning. Keep on creating!
similar story here! but you have gone some part of your journey it seems keep going. For me the consistency was always the biggest obstacle cause I need be on a guaranteed path (comp science) so here we are lost in arcane...
