Crazy how there’s an entire generation of Pokemon fans who forgot the days of HMs forcing you to construct your team with a dedicated HM Mons instead of being free to build your team however you wanted, and celebrated the death of this mechanic in Sun and Moon. Now people want this restriction back?
Forcing a bidoof to learn hm's, is really different to having a cohesive world, that celebrates de existance of hundreds of pokemons and entices you to explore, find msterials, and catch everything, One is poorly implemented to keep players from crossing a line. One is trying to make players sense of exploration and wonder ignite, not limit them, make them search their own answers, so yeah.
Well I think it's less of HMs and more of allowing more abstract solutions. Instead of needing to waste a move on an important member to see in a cave, just bring a Pokemon that can provide light. Although in a game like this, you'd most likely get ways around these, such as a lantern for caves. In other words, make it more open for teambuilding (also as the whole thing is getting stronger with your team, having them help with exploration rather than combat is a great idea, story wise)

Im sure Im just shouting into an echo chamber, but its crazy to me that one of the most profitable franchises in the ENTIRE WORLD continues to have entries that feel like rushed indie games. Legitimately terrible writing, essentially the same gameplay we've had since the first one with minor tweaks, very little to do in the overworld aside from battling, almost no interaction with the world itself, I could go on for hours. Just look at something like Tears of the Kingdom vs Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. You'd be forgiven for thinking Zelda was the larger franchise.
Is just the fact that the games aren't their priority, they prioritize plushy sales and the tcg, that's why the most talented team in the whole pokemon company is the art team, just look at the concept art. and that leaves the game devs of game freak or really limited or actually just skilless, they don't care
@@lazerpand6393 You speak truth. I think I'm just extra jaded since Arceus was a step in the right direction, only for Scarlet/Violet to take two steps back. I wonder if Gamefreak would benefit from going back to the 2d artsyle
I have a video about the right steps they can take, I belive open world exporstuon is the right path, they just have to lean towards it regardless of ehat people say, like Arceus did, th-cam.com/video/iCniiOm1OMY/w-d-xo.html
This video is incredibly underrated!! Like seriously, how have more people not seen this?!?!
Help sharing if possible 🫡
Just amazing. Such a cool concept and animation.
You should this a game or a comic series because it would be awesome and amazing 😊
This makes me think of what would happen if you combined Pokemon with some of the mechanics of Pal World and Monster Hunter.
Very cool!
Man, I'd love to play such a game, a sorta Pokemon X Zelda adventure
Riiiight???? It would be f awesome
@@lazerpand6393 If only it could be made into a fan game...

that honestly wouldn’t work well imo.
