I use my autel im608pro2 to add keys to cars, I bought two keys from my usual key provider and I just normally code them to the car that I by them for but I am trying to code a key to a 2024 range rover sports, the keys are the same frequency and style but when it ask me to hold the key in had then to press any button it never read the kesy, I bought 2 more keys and it is the same results, i then decided to read the keys in the programer and I notice the keys say lock on them even tho they are brand new, how do I unlock the keys, I know how to do it with bmw keys and benz key but I don't see any option for range rover so I am wondering if I need to plug on to the car before I can do so? As for bmw and benz, you don't have to be plugged on to a car to unlock the key, so that's the reason I am asking to see if I can get some answers?

I am trying to program a key to a 2022 Range Rover Sports but when ever I reach to the part that it says to press the botten on the key it says it can't read the key, I bought the key just as I do all my other keys that I program from a dealer online but this one is saying lock when I read it on my Autel imo608pro2 so is it that I need to unlock the key first and if yes, how do I do that with the range rover key? because with a benz or a bmw key you can unlock or renew a key without the scanner on the car but with the range rover I don't see that option when it is not plug on the vehicle. So do I need to plug the scanner on the range rover then I can unlock the key then I program it to the car?

This is what I got this morning on 2013 Prius with Autel im508- could not communicate after several attempts to add an extra smart key, and idk why. Also it did not pull VIN number neither so I had to manually entered PIN in. I went to FB Autel forum and no-one seemed to know exactly why. Someone recommended hard reset car batteries, and I also thought maybe there was a brown fuse that prevent IMMO to communicate. I sent a customer away and charged him for my time, surely I know he was not happy but I warned him before. Great to know, I will unlock toyota/lexus from outside using a small emergency I assume. Should I open or close driver door, or does not matter. Unlock means we use an emergency to unlock from outside, or simply by hand unlock the door handle from outside like in your video? For AKL, can I simply use Toyota/Lexus Autel smart key simulator APB112 , and bypass other smart box steps, and simply use the simulator key to add a new key?

Followed this procedure to every detail in an IM508. Chrysler v4.40 and after successfully reading and saving the file, the 508 reads "Reading password not supported". wtf? Verified the 508 had a data connection. Glad I'm just messing around and didn't remove the skreem on an actual job. Not sure if Autel botched another update but a different tool was successful. I see you were on v4.20

I do not want to spend $3500 for the autel IM608 therefor I am sending my immobilizer to them, "Cars and Keys Automotive", for them to fix my 2003 Toyota Sequoia Limited immobilizer issue. They are charging me $285 for this service which, to me, is worth if it my vehicle will start again. I will reply with how it goes. They have already told me it would be about three weeks for them to get to it. I will reply with results.

Hello from France, Please I hope you can answer my question, I tried programming an additional smart key for a Peugeot 3008 year 2021 using Autel IM608, but it failed and I am trying to understand the reason. I read the transponder of the original working smart key in XHorse Mini and it is ID4A, 433 Mhz FSK. So I prepared an Xhorse Smart Key XM38TOY model, to this peugeot, and then read it, and it was ID4A, 433 Mhz FSK, same as the original key. I went into Autel IM608, Automatic Selection, then I clicked on Immo Status Scan and I got a message that this option is not supported for this car, so I wonder why! So I clicked on Control Unit and managed to read the password, then clicked on Hot Functions then All Smart Keys Lost Guided (there is no option for Add Smart Key), and I followed the instructions, and I first reprogrammed the original working key and it said Learning Successful, then the XHorse Smart Key but it said Learning Failed. I prepared the Xhorse Smart Key in Xhorse Mini, to another option (ID4A also), and tried again, but it failed again. In Xhorse Mini Remote options there are only two smart keys ID4A for peugeot, and I tried them both, but failed. Thanks so much for your help.

Hi,i'm trying to generate a remote wired xhorse key for a 2010 toyota avensis.When i chose the 09-14 avensis xhorse generates the wrong transponder!! The customers car has a dst80 id72g transponder. How do i generate this?The circuit board on the xkto00en xhorse key dosnst have a transponder in it,just an eeprom. Do i have to put an xhorse superchip in the remote seperately??Thanks.

Do you have to relearn the original remote if you are adding a key??
