Man I'm glad i found my way to this video. Darling... is one of my favorite anime...ever. I also had a hard time with the simulated sex situations / positions as I watched this as an adult but I'm glad that I continued watching this excellent human drama. (edit.. and oh yea. the music was awesome)

Is funny to see people complain about the parts they did not like just because it got to complex. I did like it the way they did it, and just because everything did not go the way I expected it does not mean I did not like it, like others did :p I did not only like their main history but the history behind and why they were created, so probably why I do not care that the main story got break a part. Since it was evident, they will not let them have a family and has children, because they were only use as objects that they were planning to eliminate them after they finish their mission, so yeah that part of the story was for sure going to end badly one way or another.

I honestly had Darling in the Franxx in my watchlist for years but never got past the second episode in my previous starts of the series until this year and I must say. Even as a first binge watch recently it will forever be one of my favorite anime's of all time. I guess I just have a thing for darker themed anime's but it was also just a perfect blend of wholesomeness and had a philosophical theme about what it means to be human, what it means to experience emotions, and to find love, etc. Where we also get to see what the absence of embracing those key points of humanity and compassion can lead to in a sci-fi extreme way.

This video got me into Darling in the Franxx. I've always kind of known it, but never watched it. Now, thanks to you. I did. And man.. It's both beautiful. And a rollercoaster ride in the end. Thank you for an amazing experience. And giving me the thought of "Hey, I should actually look at this. And then continue on with this video once I'm done."

Tbh when I started to watch this show (last week) I thought it was like evangelion + promised neverland but with weird sex connotations, but as the story continued it turned out to be great (although I think the space part was a bit unnecessary), I love stories that really end, with no possibilities for a season 2 or anything Yeah, I may have watched too many 12 episode romance anime made to sell the manga

100% not a bad anime, I just think it needed a few more episodes to flesh out some of the topics. But honestly I thought it was great until like the last episode 😂 I do think the ending kinda flopped like they didn’t know how to wrap the story up

This was a really good video essay. I think that it just kinda sucks there was no spoiler warning in the beginning of the video. I felt like I kept getting spoiled the longer I watched. So there was no point of a spoiler warning at the end. However, this was a good analysis and makes me want to watch the anime now.

Just got into watching anime after years of thinking it was cringe. I've been missing out. This was my 5th series and so far the best one. I see alot of people hate the ending but aside from it feeling kinda rushed it covered all bases and felt perfect

They made an amazing show, amazing characters and development, crazy life scenes that would be literally boring on other animes, great plot twists to devastate us and teach nothing can be good on this world for a long time, created a whole ass story, and then they made the single ever mistake that they could ever do. They tried to finish the anime in 4 episodes - last 4. Bruh. Just finish that season with us thinking our guys won the war against klaxosaurus, APE took Hringhorn into space, and all that stuff, thinking APE is ass but not the antagonist, let us finish the season with a mass battle and the bond with our hearts against the team. Next season just make those guys kinda hunted by APE and shit because of their revolt and make them find out APE is not from this world. Also what the heck is the consuming all of the life in planet in a single second, BRUH BRUH BRUH, such a good plot wasted, make plantations go wasteland and also some mysterious shit alongside klaxosaurus remnants, still trying to stop us etc. Then make our dudes get suspicious about APE is real enemy, and Klaxes are actually good and some sort. Then on that season start the space invasion shit (you don't need to but do it if you gonna die miserably if you won't, alright) and then let the random shit go brrr. If those guys gave us just one more season - more time - to understand and connect everything into "oooh, we were deceived and there was a grand plot behind us but yeah they were already shit", people wouldn't freak out and call it lame. Every fucking person wants a season two since it was not enough and also last plot was shit... How to ruin an anime ending 101, still my favorite anime. Edit: Wrote the whole idea and plotline from my ass in two minutes and I'm a fucking engineer not a writer or some shit And it's still better than show telling us "It was aliens all along" in 5 minutes in an episode. Last BRUH, now I'll go and watch the entire thing again.

Bro this video had me going crazy, I was mad, happy and sad. But you did an excellent job of describing Darling in the Franxx and what makes the anime just so amazing despite some of the conflicting plots and pacing which was 100% intentional.

Chained soldier was one of my first animes and it set my standards so high, I never thought that I could find an anime as good as that. Untill I found Darling in the Franxx. This shit not having a season 2 made me so mad. So currently... I'm currently working with a team of developers to make a fan made season 2 ❤

Its so crazy with trast taste, cuz I was like watching every episode up till 50 or so then I was like meh. But sheeesh its just crazy to see how much these guys have grown, from 2016 when I watched all these guys religiously (except conner, sorry) to now being a massive podcast brand. Which is honestly why I stopped watching, since I didnt watch the podcast to see trasttaste I came to see my fave youtubers together which as they became less youtubers and more podcasters I sorta wasnt as into it anymore. Probs cuz im still a fuckin degen and got waaay too much time on my hands for content lol.

I hope they will make a season 2, but they probably won't. I would love to see how they would continue the story from where they left off.
