@@JackAlderton I view these as key aspects and Sydney simply tops KL with its: Scenic beauty - the beaches, harbor & the parks - simply amazing. Climate - a more temperate one n not as 'stuffy' as KL when it gets hot and humid. Facilities & infrastructure - Sydney is simply better planned out, developed and maintained plus cleaner. Safety - generally safer than KL with lower crime rates. Leisure activities - more things to do - better outdoor vibes - more pedestrian/biker friendly. Not to mention Sydney's cultural diversity - just as diverse as KL with its people & the food which is of great quality. Sure Sydney is way more expensive- but you'd expect that from one of the best cities in the world...

Why do you say that? I've been doing it for over 2 years now & in many ways the lifestyle is better than the west. I moved legally from Sydney, Australia (a western country) to KL and have included every single cost. Your comment is just not factual, sorry.

@@JackAlderton Most who watch this video won't have the benefit of having a job so would therefore have to factor in visa costs and income requirements that could easily exceed you monthly budget every month several times over. Your job has benefits like healthcare but generally, these can be quite restrictive. The real problem though is if you're unfortunate enough to be involved in something like a traffic evidence where trauma care is needed because quite simply, it's third world irrespective of health insurance, This is worth bearing in mind given that Malaysia's road casualty rate is among the highest in the world. You don't have a car so you're hardly living a western lifestyle. A car is essential to get out and about and you learn so much just taking random routes outstation. The cost of a western equivalent car in Malaysia is very high. Your apartment looks like a basic hotel room. Personally, I couldn't live that. I suspect your income is quite limited for you to feel the need to economise. Not being on the property ladder in your own country is a huge cost all in itself. I don't doubt your costs but that level of OCD is odd. Those costs however are specific to you and I've pointed out just some of the issues above when comparing like for like for most people.

Hey Trent! You'll love this.. no capital gains at all. Zero. If you have everything set up legally here I think you're in the clear.
