I think do a full basement that has bathroom. 2 bedrooms and a small kitchenette for an inlaw suite. Then the main house on one floor. I think having the ability to put more family with separate spaces would be awesome avoiding the 2 family politics.

she got some game if you buy em right how ever that may be . With time , even with 4 month vacancy every year in 5 plus years you get your money back . If you stack them with inflation you are guaranteed a bag , True buy and refinance when there low again !

Incompetence seems to be a common theme for contractors. My experience was a nightmare. The date of completion was supposed to be July 19th, 2024. I gave half of the funds upfront along with signing a detailed contact. He had so many excuses as to why he was behind schedule it was ridiculous (he had to have surgery on his mouth, then his hand, one his fellow workers died, he had to go to court, he had to replace a roof on his tenant's property 5 hours away, he had to take care of his grandmother's property which had flooded). He has a whole crew to begin with, then it dwindled down to just him. I was on him EVERY.SINGLE.DAY questioning when the work would be completed. Eventually he stopped picking up my calls. I feel that if I were a man the work would have been completed without the games.😢

You are SO RIGHT. I rented out my brand new beautiful house to a tenant (Porsha Lee Edwards) & she poured paint on my new floors, paint poured down bathroom tub, kitchen sink/bathroom sink, busted out windows, batted down 2 outside security systems, illegal massage business operation on premises, etc. It took an act of GOD to get her out in NY, along with an eviction lawyer, lengthy court battles. She stayed until the VERY last day. It's a LIVING nightmare. She owned businesses, worked in n the school system but she proved to be Satan.
