these days I'm older and dont hate people necessarily like that anymore, but as a kid a man styled like Joan Rivers didn't appeal to me, period. Those homo erotic images and gay background vocals along with the neon green and pink colors, it turned the girls on and that was a bonus, that's about it. Sorry fans, he's probably a nice guy and all, but someone turning purple from cocaine abuse and looking like a little old lady on stage and those songs, f those first songs you mention, talk dirty to me etc f those songs jeez they made me want to smash the radio - I was more Maiden, Slayer, Overkill, etc, but admit in retrospect I liked Milli Vanilli and George Michael, just would never admit it lol but CC and the girls were not appealing to this 14 year old pubescent boy, he looked spastic and the glam gay music at best was used to get laid because the girls liked it, like Winger it may have been credible and great but Beavis and Butthead wouldn't have had POISON on his shirt, that would have been Stuart,,, so.... I can enjoy the garbage today because even the worst music back then was better than the best crap today. One man's opinion lol

CC rocks for sure. He is a Bluesman at heart and turns his icks to Heavy Rock with ease. He gets a little side eye because of his extreme glam intro. They held on to LWTCDI look a little too long. People are fickle. Guitar folk know whats up though. Any internal hate is jealousy based.

I'm in the camp of relicing your guitar manually. I do agree most times a beat up guitar have more character and mojo. Personally, I think a guitar a vehicle for expression and at times a best friend. Your fooling yourself if you think dropping dough to have the leo fender version of the guy from toystory meticously relic your guitar is gonna change people's perspective on you, I think your heads in the wrong place. All that being said your guitar is an extension of yourself and yourself only. That being said whatever floats your boat, go for it. Also the spring reverb jump scare is so relatable, cheers to the parkour cat. Thoroughly enjoyed the dialogue.

CCs tone was fine. People hate CC the same reason they hate Nickelback. Because they are told too. No other reasons but to jump on a bandwagon Dokkens tone is not any better and i couldn't name 3 songs of Dokken and most people cant

CC is a legend. Instantly recognizable sound, memorable solos. Attitude and looks too, which you had to have in the 80s. Poison would not be Poison without him.

Especially with so many guitarists for hair metal bands basically just playing one position of the Am pentatonic back in the 80s I always wondered why mick was so underrated! His talent is amazing!

He’s actually a very tasty guitar player who plays the right field and notes for the songs in poison. He has quite a bit of skill. But what lets him down is the alcohol and drugs he was dreadful live most of the time.

As a baby boomer and guitarist born raised through the 60s on up music ain't like it used to be since the 90s. Rocks gone downhill and country ain't country it's all pop anymore. It's all mostly electronics and digital junk with no off beats and no strong ummph behind it like the old good beer when you could open it and smell the beer before you could put it near your mouth. This techno crap is cheating and these new bands act like they really accomplished something and really didn't accomplish anything but junk. We have rap,techno, and all this other weird shit and most of it doesn't make any sense at all. Like Tom McDonald he ain't even from the U.S. and from Canada and just sings crap using America politics as a front to make money and he's not even rock. Good rock bands like Deep purple, steppinwolf, Sabbath, Nazareth, rush, zztop,acdc, Hendrix, zeppelin, Riot,doors,Thin Lizzy, Bto,Nugent,Maiden,zebra, metallica, Pantera,eagles, allman bros, America,etc. that's ROCK N ROLL. This stuff we have nowadays ain't rock at all but they get the label of it which they don't deserve. Also you have these grunge and punk bands that don't even sound like music at all to me. The yelling in low tones as if their ass is on fire screaming not to take them to the ER cause they know it will be painful after they arrive there. It's awful. I'm Awake not Woke and this is what this music industry turned into. If our Rock generation butthurts people cause we don't like their music then why do they copy the songs from our generation so much and ruin a true original that shouldn't be changed in the first place and reap rewards from the original bands or singers. It's disgusting.

Great vid I’ve just developed this myself. Not as severe as having to pull it open with the other hand but it’s very annoying. Mine happened at work so I’m fully covered. They have just started me with a hand therapist so it’s splinted next step is injections if that doesn’t work they said surgery. Thanks again for a great video

C.C.’s never really got the due he’s owed when it comes to his legacy as a guitar icon from one of the best bands of the 80s. Poison is a big part of the music that made the 80s so special and has so many of us longing for and reminiscing about that era.

I have been dealing with this in both hands (middle fingers) and find that sleeping with lightweight compression gloves has helped to avoid cramps and lock ups at night. Worth a try. Wish you all well.

I love the Van Hagar era, but I have mixed feelings about tour. It's the same for the Pantera tribute. If Phil and Dime had parted as friends, and the Van Halens and Sammy and Michael had patched things up with Alex & Eddie, I would have been all in. I know Eddie, Michael, and Sammy talked before Eddie passed, but would that have even happened if EVH hadn't known he didn't have long to live? It seems doubtful. I'm with you about kids who've never had the opportunity to see a VH show. I said the same thing about the Pantera tribute. It feels almost sureal to consider that Vinnie Paul was opposed to a tribute. He told a music writer once when asked about the remaining members of Pantera touring, that if Eddie Van Halen had passed that nobody was going to get Satriani and go on the road as Van Halen. The Pantera thing is a little different because Dime's best friend is up there paying tribute to his fallen brother. I also think it might've been easier to accept if Alex was playing with them. Instead, he has announced the he is quitting music and selling all of his gear. I can’t imagine that it would cause the man some pain because he can't make himself be OK with doing anything without Saint Edward. I lost my mom this past January and it fucks you up. I don't want to do anything that I did with her. I can push it away and pretend it didn't happen most of the time. That is until a birthday or holiday comes around. My birthday is next month. I'm finished looking at the calender until I'm fairly positive that day has passed. I've told my wife and my kids that I don’t want birthday wishes. I can’t handle it this time. I don't ever see that changing much either. I hope this doesn't sound at all like a sermon, it’s just an observation. The situation with Pantera and with Van Halen is why forgiveness is something that should never be put off if we can help it. The old ones used to say, "Don't let the sun go down on your anger." If all those guys could've found it in themselves to let it go, there would have been no grounds for someone to say it should or shouldn't happen. They also have to carry around that unresolved conflict for the rest of their lives. I know that from the non relationship I have with my biological father. I've never been able to let go of the hatred I have for him. It consumes me more a little more. I waste my time hating him and he couldn't give less of a fuck about me. Tell me, who's the dummy in that situation? That would be me.

I notice the same hate with KIrk hammet. I think it's their vibrato. It's kind of a girly vibrato. It's not wide and smooth. It's very nervous execution sounding. To me it's not that big of deal. Solos are memorable.

i was born with a trigger finger so i had a hard time learning playing guitar since i was a kid but i still love it even though i'm having a hard time on fast solos but i love the instrument with all my heart
