How Small Things Like These Depicts Heroism | A Video Essay
มุมมอง 2.3Kวันที่ผ่านมา
Cillian Murphy's follow-up to Oppenheimer is a quiet but haunting gem of a film that depicts the horrors of the Magdalene Laundry System and how a small town in Ireland, a coal miner named Bill confronts these horrors by looking back at his own past and deciding there must be an end to this cycle. It's a deeply moving film that's told so brilliantly, and it has some great Irish actors all aroun...
Why Tokyo Godfathers Is The Ultimate Christmas Movie | A Video Essay
มุมมอง 36914 วันที่ผ่านมา
Why I think more people should watch Satoshi Kon's Christmas masterpiece, Tokyo Godfathers (2003). The magic of Christmas is often overly commercialised and relegated to the dullness of a flash sale or a modern-day take on a classic film. Tokyo Godfathers offers a different taste to this world-famous holiday season. It's a film that doesn't have to be anything but exactly what it represents. It...

Good video! Now I really want to see this movie. :) Also, what's the name of the background song?
had the best time working with u all on this!!! congrats!!!!! <3
Great job!
Agreed, one dimensionality of this exists, and so does nervous breakdown.
No way bro. I mean, there aren't many good films anymore so maybe you're not too far off. The film does make a few points fairly well, and JP is great in the red glasses scene. Overall I rate this film as boilerplate, because it doesnt have any new takes on anything. It does show some things not everyone thinks about enough, so that's is good. I liked Plemons, and Sami's character.
Very inspirational! Good job!
So well written and narrated ❤
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed the video essay!
It took my breath away when I first watched it.
Same here! Shinkai knows how to make a film that makes us feel
Fantastic video. A Great homage to Taxi Driver.
Thank you very much!
really nice video! :) short sweet and to the point. i did want to add that to me, Hana reads not just as a drag queen but as a trans woman as well. many trans women can discover this aspect of their identity through drag, and to see Hana with this background in the film made sense to me and made for some good depth for her character. I watched the movie for the first time this christmas, despite being a big fan of Kon's other works. Definitely going to watch it next year, too. :]
Thank you very much and yes it's a great analysis on your part. Thank you for watching!
Congratulations on the release. Very engaging short film. Great job. Keep up the good work
Absolute cinema🎉🎉🎉congratulations on the release.
CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY THIS YEAR🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great job guys and congrats on the release. Finally got to share the screen with Mr Lim Wan Hong and Mr Vel Anpalagan 🥳
Congrats on the release, guys 🎉🎉🎉 “one's pretentiousness is another's ambition” - rogerebert managing editor
This has not applied to Hollywood... Or gaming...
He proved you don’t have to be attractive to be an actor
The idea is appealing like lets say he puts that concept to his own profession. Lets say, there a movie that is going out of its way to be the worst it possibly can be just for the sake of what if? If it was marketed honestly, do you think it would be successful. The answer is Sharknado and its a solid yes
I'll have you know I am some what of a dummy myself
Needed this honestly
Thank you 🙏
Why would you even talk to that looser Ruben😂
So heartfelt and real! I want to see this documentary!
It will be one of my memorable films because my girl watched it without me first
He just wanted a safe bet for his son so he doesnt suffer. Him playing it safe his whole life gave you the opportunity to take risk in yours
Bro you can see he's hurt and misses his father. I can't imagine how painful it is to lose someone you love and honestly that is one of my biggest fears, even bigger than my own death.
Oh beautiful boy, he knows. don't feel guilt or remorse not all of us parients know be kind to yourself Love he's proud you found your way, even with out a supportive Father.
SEQUEL MANA

Gooo Aizad Izam!!! 🎉
Id rather fucking die. I rather spend the rest of my life alone. Ive had my fill of heartbreak. Ive stayed free of it for almost 6 years now and will keep doing it
Cheers ☕️
🥂
The film is halfway Ok But its just a rehash of the " College kids " type of film . Running Here , Running There , Slowly getting killed off . With little scenes that remind you of the first two Alien films ............ It"s worth a watch but the last 15 mins just DRAGS ON & ON .
What memory would you choose to bring to the afterlife?
Checking out the movie.
👍
👍

I loved it. Great🎉🎉🎉🎉. I’m a film student myself and trying to figure my style out.
