Have to say, I've had my 595 two years now, after 3 months i fitted a td04l hybrid turbo, direnza intercooler, 390cc injetors, sports cat, forge intake and dump valve, oil catch can kit and a sports exhaust. I've driven it 22k miles since and (touch wood) it's never let me down, other than an annoying weep from the turbo oil drain hose (changed the gasket twice now) I do change the oil/filter every 4k and plugs every 8k as it is driven hard.

I bought a Misano red one few months ago. I haven't owned it long enough to really say how much it costs to maintain, but based on some conversations with people who have owned one for few years it's not that bad as performance cars go. Sure if something breaks down it will cost a lot, but these are somewhat reliable, once again as far as performance cars go. It does have KW coilovers instead of DRC and intake flaps have been deleted, so few problem spots have been sorted out. Also oil cooler seems to be in good condition. Timing chain is original thou with about 190k kilometers on it. But what I have read is that timing chain issues are really not that common in these than they are with b6/b7 S4's. I talked with a local Audi mechanic who has had the honor of maintaining few of these since they were new and he said that one of these examples has over 400k kilometers without any major repairs. Timing chain still original etc. So if these are well kept and you have a bit of luck, these can be really reliable. I asked him that should I do timing chain on mine just in case and he said that he wouldn't do if there aren't any symptoms. When I was pondering should I buy one I did think also some newer options, like S5, S4, RS3 and TT RS. But the problem with those cars are that they may be more reliable because they are newer, but they will depreciate massively still, so what you may save from upkeep you will lose it on that. Also turbo engines has more breaking points and those cars will also eat through gas, brakes and tires. So I don't think that those are that much cheaper options overall. I did have an awesome B6 with BEX-engine that I did consider building into somewhere between 400-500bhp, but modded cars will breakdown all the time, so I don't think that option would have been any cheaper. Also driving dynamics are way better with the RS4, thanks to the rear biased Quattro, steering and wider tracks. Also B7 RS4 has been my absolute dream car ever since I first saw one, so that was one major reason why I had to have one. Also I have a daily driver, so this will get something like 10k kilometers per year, so hopefully the problems won't materialize that often. Tl;dr : If you are looking a reliable and cheap daily driver buy an old Toyota Corolla. If you are looking for something fun with manual and V8 (while you still can own one) and you have something like 2-4k to drop on it if there are needs for repairs then yes go for it!

Just had the same issue on a 2024 Abarth 695. RAC attended and diagnosed O2 post cat sensor as the issue. Car has been driven in hevay traffic at low speeds over the last few days. Light reset and advice to give it some long runs now the weather is cooler. Fingers crossed as the nearest dealer is 26 miles away.....

To reset a check engine light in an Abarth, you can try turning the ignition on and off three times, pausing a second between each cycle. If the light doesn't go off, you should consult a mechanic. I changed from 4th gear to 3rd by mistake on high revs and Engine Light popped up. Did above 3x and went away

B7 is a pig with that anemic V8! Run a stong B5S4 twin turbo and learn your lesson! 😂😂😂
